Damian felt that he needed to return to his room immediately so he could study the strange new system that had just appeared before it disappear again.

He glanced at Marcus.

“How is Natalie? Where is she?”

Marcus lowered his head and stood awkwardly.

“She almost burned down the Blackwood family home just to retrieve her laptop. We’re currently tracking her whereabouts.”

Damian turned his attention back to the blue screen in front of him and let out a bitter laugh.

“My little sister really is reliable.”

“Take this woman away and give her a job at your law firm. I still have something to take care of,” Damian continued before turning around.

Marcus nodded. “Yes, Sir.”

Damian wanted to return to his room as soon as possible to study the strange system that had suddenly appeared before him. He did not even feel the need to rush to deal with Natalie first because he was confident that his younger sister was more than capable of handling herself.

After everything that had happened today, he needed some time to understand the abilities he now possessed.

However, after taking only a few steps, Damian heard something hit the floor.

Thud!

He stopped and turned around.

“Sir Damian!” The girl from earlier was already kneeling behind him.

Before Damian could even ask what was wrong, she lowered herself until her forehead touched the floor in front of him.

“Sir…”

Damian frowned.

“Get up!”

Marcus tried to pull her up, but the girl quickly shook her head and remained prostrate on the floor. Tears fell from her eyes and soaked the floor beneath her.

“My life belongs to you, Sir.”

Damian fell silent.

The girl slowly lifted her face. Although she was still frightened, there was a strange determination in her eyes.

“If you hadn’t come, they would have taken my kidney or perhaps done something even worse. I don’t know what would have happened to me after that.”

Her voice trembled.

“My parents have both passed away and left behind debts. I didn’t know how I was going to pay them. You saved me, Sir. From now on, I’ll do anything you ask.”

Damian sighed.

He did not like the way she spoke as though her life now belonged to someone else.

“I saved you because you needed help. I never asked for your life in return.”

The girl lowered her head.

“But I have nothing else to give you.”

“Then live your life well.”

Damian was about to walk away when the system’s voice suddenly sounded inside his head again.

<Ding!>

Damian’s steps immediately stopped.

The transparent blue screen flickered in front of him before suddenly glowing brighter.

<The Good Deed System has detected new developments.>

<The individual rescued by the Host possesses an extremely high level of gratitude and loyalty toward the Host.>

<Good Deed Points: +100.>

Damian’s eyes widened. What the F*ck?!

One hundred points?

That was a huge amount!

Just because the girl had said she was willing to risk her life for him?

Damian read the next notification.

<The evaluation is based on the sincerity of the Host’s actions, the impact of those actions, and the changes brought to the life of the individual who was saved.>

Damian stared at the screen for quite some time.

So the system really did evaluate the consequences of his good deeds.

He did not receive points simply because he had paid money. What mattered was the fact that he had changed the fate of someone who had nearly lost her future.

Then what were these points for?

Damian slowly clenched his fists.

Then a realization came to him.

If that was the case…

Maybe this wasn't a hallucination.

Maybe this system really could change his life.

And if this system truly granted him power through good deeds, there was one thing Damian needed to understand first.

What exactly were the limits of this system?

He stared at the blue screen with a serious expression.

“If that’s the case, let’s see how far you can help me. Go with Marcus. He’ll find you a place to stay. You can come back after you’ve taken a shower. You look... horrible.”

The girl nodded quickly, and Marcus immediately led her away.

“Marcus, don’t forget to take care of hospital payments. I’m leaving today as well!”

However, Damian was unaware of one thing.

Behind the system screen that only he could see, a new line of information slowly appeared.

<A new Quest is being prepared.>

<Target: 50 Good Deed Points.>

<Reward: Random Skill.>

Damian still had no idea.

But his new life had just begun.

“New Quest?”

Damian stared at the transparent blue screen floating in front of him.

The words were still clearly visible.

Damian raised his hand and tried to touch the screen.

His finger passed straight through it.

“Hmm?”

He tried again.

This time, he used his index finger to press the words in the middle of the screen, but nothing happened. The blue screen did not even move slightly.

Damian frowned.

“So how am I supposed to use it?”

He tried touching another part of the screen.

There was still no response.

He moved his hand from left to right as if he were operating a transparent tablet, then tried tapping the screen several times.

Still nothing happened.

“Don’t tell me a system this advanced doesn’t even have a button.”

Damian sighed.

He then sat on the edge of the bed while staring at the transparent screen.

“How do I summon you?”

Several seconds passed.

There was no answer.

Damian clicked his tongue.

“System?”

The screen remained silent.

“Good Deed System?”

There was still no response.

Damian ran a hand through his hair in frustration.

“So every time you want to appear, you show up on your own. But when I need you, you suddenly go silent?”

He stared at the screen again.

“And what are these points for?”

This time, the blue screen suddenly changed.

<Ding!>

Damian immediately sat upright.

<Good Deed Points are reward energy obtained by the Host through acts of kindness that meet the system’s requirements.>

<Good Deed Points can be used to obtain various rewards.>

Damian’s eyes followed the words as they appeared one after another.

<Rewards may include abilities, attribute enhancements, special knowledge, items, and various other benefits.>

Damian fell silent.

“Yes, you already told me about that last night. I received healing, didn’t I?”

<Correct.>

“So these points are like currency?”

<Correct.>

Damian nodded slowly.

“Then how do I know how many points I need to obtain something?”

The screen changed again.

<Each reward has a different value.>

<The higher the level of the reward, the more Good Deed Points are required.>

Damian began to grow interested.

“So the one hundred points I just received can be used to obtain something other than the healing I received last night?”

<Good Deed Points cannot be freely used to purchase rewards.>

Damian frowned and clicked his tongue softly.

“Then what else can they be used for?”

<Rewards will be determined based on the Host’s development, the level of kindness performed, and certain requirements.>

Damian leaned back against the headboard.

“So I can’t choose whatever I want?”

<Correct.>

“Then what kind of system is this? It’s useless!”

There was no answer.

Damian sighed.

He was beginning to understand one thing. This system was not a shop that would give him anything he wanted simply because he had enough points.

Every reward seemed to have its own requirements.

He then remembered what had happened earlier.

When he gave his blood to the old man, the system had given him one hundred points.

When he saved the little girl earlier, he had received another one hundred points.

Yet the two actions had happened under completely different circumstances.

The first had required him to risk his own life.

The second had required him to spend money he did not even actually have.

Damian rubbed his chin.

“So the value of a good deed isn’t simply based on how much money is spent.”

The screen did not answer.

But Damian felt that his guess was correct.

He then pointed at the screen.

“Then show me my status.”

Ding!

The screen changed.

<Host: Damian Blackwood>

<Good Deed Points: 200>

<Physical Enhancement: Basic>

<Active Quest: Perform one good deed worth at least 50 Good Deed Points.>

<Progress: 0/50>

Damian read everything carefully.

Two hundred points.

One basic ability and one unfinished quest.

“The reward for this quest is a Random Skill?”

<Correct.>

Damian smiled faintly.

“Then I only need to perform one good deed worth fifty points.”

However, his smile quickly disappeared.

He suddenly remembered something.

“What if I deliberately do good deeds just to earn points?”

The blue screen suddenly flickered.

<If the Host performs a good deed solely to obtain a reward, the value of the action may be reduced or the action may not be counted.>

Damian fell silent.

Then he let out a quiet laugh.

“So you can read my intentions?”

<The System evaluates the Host’s intentions based on his actions and the circumstances surrounding them.>

Damian nodded slowly.

“Interesting.”

He looked at the transparent screen again.

Damian smiled.

“All right.”

He leaned back against the bed.

“Then I’ll see for myself what I can get from you.”

The blue screen slowly disappeared from his view.

However, just before it completely vanished, one final message appeared.

<Quest Active.>

<Time Limit: None.>

<Reward will be granted once the requirements are fulfilled.>

Damian stared at the words.

Then he sighed.

“At least give me a hint about where I should look for my next good deed.”

The system remained silent.

Damian massaged his temples.

“Fine. I know you’re deliberately trying to annoy me. Damn system!”

Ding!

<Points deducted: -50 for insulting the System.>

“Damn system. At least give me a company so I can crush Celine and make them pay for everything they’ve done to me!” Damian growled.

<Does the Host want to use the remaining 150 points to purchase shares in a company?>

"Can you?" Damian’s interest and excitement began to grow.

Based on its current condition, most investors would consider buying its shares a terrible decision.Damian, however, smiled.“I want this one.”“Why?”
