The lieutenant froze. He tried to run, but it felt like an unimaginable force was pinning him down to the floor by perhaps restraining his limbs from moving so he could get away.

Slowly, as August placed his hand on him, he felt a gush of his Qi not just flooding into his system but wrenching his meridians and at the same time corrupting his Qi. Before, he could feel every flow of his Qi from his energy core down to his meridian, but all of that was cut off.

He became weak. Unable to withstand the surge of effect that dawned on him at once, his eyes blurred, and he collapsed to the floor.
