Chapter 03: In the other World
last update2026-07-11 23:29:42

Wednesday's morning

It was just dream " i said with a voice of soulagement when finally i woke up and realised that was just a nightmare

i went to work as always and thinking about that dream kept  me stressed. I was in the OR as a surgery resident and like always i prepare the patient to start the operation. When the surgery is about to finish i heard a voice, in the begening i thought it was a voice of another worker in the OR but it was’t , actually it was so close and i couldn’t witness the source i was truly terrified and couldn’t be sure and assured but it looks like the woman’s voice that i have seen in my dream. I glanced over the door and i saw her shadow, yes it was her.

«soufiane ! are you okay!» my colleague and my friend asked when he realised that something happend to me.

«i’m okay , i just had a fainting feeling.» i replied.

«you can scarcely breath very well soufiane!» he said.

«it’s okay the operation is about to finish i will take some rest after» i replied but in my deep inside i know that the dream wasn’t just a dream, it’s far away from that.

After the surgery was done i went swiftly to home, and when i reached the room’s door, i felt something weird, like an energy inside in the room, i hesitated then i remebered what all happened and said to my self « if it is supposed to happen it will happen»

«long time no see soufiane» centinella’s appearance, i could know her because i’m the one who created this charater before in my first novel written when i had 16 years old.

«what are you doing here? Is this real» i asked and i was barely able to believe what my eyes can see in that moment.

«true and real more than you can imagine» centinella’s replied, and the elf that came before to me was with her.

«as i said my lady ! a stupid surgeon!» the elf with gritted teeth yelled, and his big eyes gazing on me.

«never mind my dear soufiane, he is so stressed about what’s happening there.» centinella said and laughed, she knew that i’m more stressed than him, after all i never thought that one day i will meet the more powerful legendary witch that i have created many years ago in my first novel.

"i’d like to hear from you lady centinella! I already know from your elf that Eris is destroying the world of magic and"  i said when centinella interrupted me and said «and soon he will destroy your world too. His plan is the darkest one i have ever seen, he is sending his servants and slaves everywhere, and i think you already have seen one of them» when centinella told me this, i noticed that she is attempting to give me a sign or allume for somthing"

" what are you talking about?" i asked when swiftly i realised that she is talking about that dream," oh are you talking about that dream of yesterday"

«you have met ELARIA that demon who belongs to the dark light, she was prisoned by the old wizard in his castle many years ago, we still can’t understand who helped her to escape.

«i don’t know her! How? Wasn’t me the creator of that world?» i asked.

«soufiane my dear that world had far changed, it’s not like you have imagined any more, it’s out of control, now what i suggest and it’s only the solution you had left.» centinella asked.

«tell me what can i do?» i asked with fears.

« you have to come with me, you need to drink this potion, it will take your corpse to the eternal world and you will be forgotten in this world, and you will go with your spirit to the world of magic.

«do you mean i will die» i yelled i’m not able to accept this solution.

«you will not die soufiane, you will one day return to your world , i don’t know how much it will take, but the moment you drink this potion everyone and even your parents will forget you, you will be wipped.

«Potion of obliviation made from moonwater, dust of dream crystals, and tears of my dragon, my little fairies can only produce it once a year,» Centinella stated, insisting that this is the last chance I have to preserve the realm of magic and our planet from the darkness of the black wizard ERIS.

The moment I drank the Potion of Obliviation, everything went quiet.

Not silent quiet, like the world itself had stepped back and was watching.

A few seconds passed, or maybe an eternity. Then it began, It felt as if something inside me loosened, unraveled. My breath slowed, my limbs grew distant, and suddenly I was no longer inside my body.

I was above it, Floating, and watching, and below me, suspended in a trembling sphere of water, lay my body. Lifeless, Pale and Empty. Like a discarded shell or let's say like a corpse.

A strange calm wrapped around me, but beneath it, something colder lurked something that whispered that this wasn’t a dream. Then the world shifted.

I was pulled, no, but taken, drawn into a place where light did not belong.

Darkness stretched endlessly in every direction, thick and suffocating. Shapes moved within it figures, shadows, people. Some faces felt familiar, like memories I couldn’t fully grasp. Others were strangers, their presence heavy, watching.

That’s when it hit me.

centinella’s words.

Her warning about the potion.

“You won’t just forget,” she had said. “You’ll cross.”

My thoughts sharpened with sudden clarity, this was the other world. A place between something or after everything, And then A glow, soft at first, like a flicker against the void, and It grew brighter, pushing back the darkness just enough for me to see her.

A fairy, Delicate, luminous, and  unreal, she hovered before me, her wings shimmering like fragments of light in a dying sky. Her eyes held something ancient, something that knew far more than I ever could.

She smiled gently, “Hello,” she said.

I looked at her, still suspended in that strange darkness, and found my voice.

“Hello!" The word felt fragile, like it didn’t belong here.

She was so beautiful. Not in the ordinary way, but in something deeper, almost unreal. Her presence glowed softly, and her features seemed shaped by light itself. Her ears curved delicately, luminous, and from her eyes spilled threads of pale radiance that drifted into the darkness like quiet stars, and then A memory stirred, faint, distant, like ink bleeding through water.

The Book of the age stone

I had written something long ago. Words I couldn’t fully recall, but I knew they were important. And suddenly, I understood what she was before she even said it.

The island, the glominous island or the Island of Fairies.

“You have to come with me, Soufiane,” she said, her voice soft, almost musical.

The way she said my name made something inside me tremble like she knew me better than I knew myself.

I hesitated, looking around at the endless dark, at the drifting figures, at the pieces of a world I couldn’t recognize.

“What should I do?” I asked, my voice unsteady. “Where should I go? I can’t remember.”

She smiled, and there was something gentle in it, something almost sad.

“You are still innocent,” she said. “As you have always been.”

Her words echoed strangely, as if they carried more meaning than I could understand.

“Don’t worry,” she continued, lifting her hand and pointing into the distance.

At first, I saw nothing.

Then , A glow, Faint, blue, flickering far away in the darkness. Not one light, but many. They pulsed softly, like distant stars calling to me.

“Go there,” she said. “Follow the blue light.”

I stared at it, unsure, a quiet fear rising inside me.

“And then?” I asked.

Her expression changed just slightly.

“You will find a witch,” she said. “She is waiting for you.”

Waiting! For me?

The word settled heavily in my chest. I turned back to her, but something told me she wouldn’t follow. And somehow That frightened me more than the darkness.
