Chapter 07: The Deception
last update2026-07-11 23:32:37

After the Serene Man left my room, I suddenly heard footsteps approaching my door.

Without thinking, I quickly closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep. By the time the footsteps reached my room, the Serene Man had already disappeared.

A strange feeling came over me.

It felt as though someone was watching me. I couldn't explain it, but I could sense a powerful presence nearby, silently observing me.

At first, I didn't dare open my eyes.

After a few moments, I slowly opened them.

There was no one.

The room was completely empty.

"Strange" I whispered to myself.

That night, I didn't try to investigate or leave my room. Instead, I lay awake, replaying every word the Serene Man had told me. His warning echoed through my mind until exhaustion finally overcame me, and I fell asleep.

The castle was unusually quiet, so i got out of bed and walked into the castle's garden, hoping to find centinella, Fosin, or the old wizard, but there was no sign of any of them.

With nothing else to do, I wandered through the garden. I looked up at the clear sky, admired the vibrant green grass, and watched the countless flowers blooming in every color imaginable. The garden was peaceful almost too peaceful, then something caught my eye, a dark red stain marked the ground so I stepped closer, and It was blood.

Someone had been bleeding in the castle's garden, I froze, and I didn't know what to do. I had no idea who had been injured or whether someone had already died. My heart began to race as countless questions filled my mind. I was nervous, confused, and unable to understand what had happened.

Yet the garden remained strangely peaceful. The flowers swayed gently in the breeze, and everything around me looked calm, as if nothing had happened.

Then I heard a soft voice behind me.

"Hello, Soufiane."

It was centinella. She had spoken so quietly that it was almost a whisper.

I slowly turned around.

"Good afternoon, lady centinella," I replied.

Deep inside, I chose to hide what I had seen. I pretended not to know anything about the blood on the ground, acting as though everything was perfectly normal.

I believe you still have doubts and fears about us, the Three Legendary Wizards."

centinella's voice was calm as she looked directly into my eyes. I could feel the overwhelming power surrounding her. There was something cold and unreadable in her gaze, as though she could see every thought hidden inside my mind.

I met her eyes without looking away, "Lady centinella I thought, I am the creator of this world. I created you. I wrote this legend" I said, but those words remained trapped inside my mind.

"I don't have any doubts," I said. "Of course not. I'm here because I chose to stay. I accepted this path so I could fight and bring down the Dark Wizard Eris."

I kept my eyes fixed on hers, carefully watching her reaction, after all, everything had changed.

Even if I was the creator the writer who had imagined this world, its legends, and every one of its characters I was no longer outside the story, but living inside it, and no longer just the writer, but I had become part of the legend itself.

I had the unsettling feeling that centinella didn't believe a single word I had said.

Without another word, she turned around and walked back toward her castle, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

The garden fell silent once again.

I stood there, speaking quietly to myself.

"I am Soufiane the creator of this world of magic." Should I try to escape? Should I fight? Or should I find the Serene Man, who had mysteriously disappeared after warning me that I was in grave danger? But what should I do right now? " As I struggled to find an answer, a tiny golden light appeared in the distance, a glow worm.

It hovered at the edge of the forest, its soft yellow light shining through the darkness. It didn't move randomly. It was waiting for me, and that  was a sign from the Serene Man.

Without hesitation, I followed it.

The glow worm guided me deeper and deeper into the dark forest, far beyond the castle and into a place where no light could reach.

Finally, it stopped. At the foot of an ancient tree lay a folded piece of paper.

I slowly picked it up and unfolded it.

The letter read:

"Dear Soufiane,

This will probably be the last letter I ever write to you.

I believe in you, because in only a few minutes... I will be dead.

I am in great danger. Santinella, the Old Wizard, and Fosin all know that I have discovered the truth. They also know how they intend to use you for their own benefit.

That is why I must tell you the truth before it is too late.

You are far more powerful than you realize.

Your true power is revealed in this letter. After you finish reading it, burn this paper immediately.

Your power is unlike any other magic.

If an enemy wounds you and makes you bleed, that enemy will be marked by your spell.

You will write the Ten Chapters of Death.

Each chapter becomes part of your enemy's fate. Once the ten chapters are written, death itself will claim them, this is your spell.

You are not merely a writer. You write the story of death for every enemy who dares to shed your blood.

Dear Soufiane, they are coming and i can feel death."

That was the letter of the serene man to me, and I believe that was before his death, and probably he was been killed by centinella unfortunately. i didn't had any proof to explain what happend to him or even to convince my self that he was saying the truth but my intuition can feels that a bad thing is a about to happen.

Silver veins twisted around black wood, while a pale blue crystal rested at its tip, pulsing faintly like a living heart.“I give you this wand of magic,” she said. “It will help you face the dark wizards and witches that wander through the forgotten realms.”I hesitat
