There were many people watching the one-sided fight, yet none of them made a move to stop it or interfere on behalf of either side, even though some of them might have had cultivation levels above Han Tian.

Because they knew very well the consequences. Han Tian was a genius nurtured by the Han Clan. Unlike his younger brother, Han Nian, who was always ostracized, constantly compared to others, and endlessly humiliated—even by his own clan.

Han Tian said, “This is a warning. Do not repeat it again.” After feeling satisfied with his handiwork, he stepped away from the market under the gaze of many onlookers and headed back to the Han Clan.

Upon arriving at the Han Clan, Han Tian immediately searched for his younger brother.

“Little Brother, how are your injuries?” He examined the parts hidden beneath Han Nian’s clothes. Earlier, he had only noticed the swelling on his face. Now, seeing the bruises covering his younger brother’s body, he felt pity. He immediately handed him a healing pill.

“I’m fine, Brother!” Han Nian replied.

“What do you mean fine? Hurry and swallow that pill so your condition can improve quickly.”

The Han Clan had stopped providing resources to Han Nian, such as pills and other items that could support cultivation. They thought it would only be a waste. After all, Han Nian himself was incapable of reaching the Silver Level.

Because his Dantian was sealed, Han Nian could not absorb the essence of the pill. The medicinal properties remained trapped inside his Dantian, preventing them from flowing through his meridians. Ironic, wasn’t it?

This was also the reason he wanted to leave the clan. He did not want to continue depending on his older brother, which could eventually hinder his brother’s cultivation since part of the resources were given to him. He did not want his brother to suffer because of that.

After about two and a half days, Han Nian’s strength had fully recovered. The wounds, bruises, and swelling on his face were no longer visible. When he opened his eyes, his heart was already resolute about leaving the clan.

That afternoon, Han Nian approached his parents, who were in their modest living room working on something. He said, “Father, Mother. I will leave the clan. Please grant me your permission.”

His father’s name was Han Zheng, and his mother’s name was Qin An. Their family held an ordinary status within the Han Clan. If not for their eldest son, Han Tian, receiving special attention from the clan, they might have been pushed aside due to their low status. Even so, harsh whispers were often heard.

Qin An looked at her son, who had failed to meet the clan’s expectations. “How can you leave the clan? Who will protect you?”

“Mother, here I am only a burden. I want to find someone who can open the seal on my Dantian. Believe me, Mother—your son will become the number one person in the Sky Continent,” he said confidently.

Qin An knew those were merely words to comfort her. With heavy hearts, both parents finally allowed their son to leave. They understood that keeping Han Nian in the clan would not help him grow. Even though the outside world held greater dangers and the possibility of death, they still believed in him.

“Return safely!” Qin An embraced her grown son, while Han Zheng only stared at him.

Men rarely showed their emotions, but in his heart, he was the one who felt the deepest pain and sorrow.

Han Nian only brought a few sets of clothes wrapped in cloth and slung over his shoulder.

“Of course, Mother.” He looked at his father and said, “Father, take good care of Mother. I don’t want her to fall ill when I return. And one more thing—don’t tell Brother Tian that I left the clan. Just say I’m fishing by the river.”

And so, his journey began.

After saying goodbye, without turning back even once, Han Nian ran straight away from his home. He feared that if he looked back, his heart would grow heavy.

Han Nian kept running eastward until half an hour later, when the Han Clan and Arumanis City were no longer visible. He sat on a fallen tree trunk, his chest rising and falling rapidly. He truly felt overwhelming exhaustion. His spiritual energy had been drained extremely quickly.

At that moment, he noticed movement in a bush and saw long white ears. Han Nian smiled and touched his stomach, which growled with hunger. Swiftly, he leaped forward.

“Ah, damn it! Why are you running?” He was extremely annoyed that his catch escaped. The white rabbit kept running, and Han Nian continued chasing it. However, due to his earlier depletion of spiritual energy, he had no choice but to let the rabbit go.

“Heh, this must be its long destiny. Even when it was already in the grasp of death, it still managed to escape. I hope I can be like that too.” He sat on a large rock nearby and closed his eyes to recover his spiritual energy.

Before he realized it, two hours had passed quickly, and the sky had begun to darken. Han Nian had finally replenished his spiritual energy.

He continued his journey. His destination was Pandan Wangi City.

It was the nearest city.

The city was far larger than Arumanis City and was home to many medical experts known as physicians. There were also pill refiners commonly called alchemists.

This was the foundation of his decision to leave the Han Clan. He hoped to find a medical expert or a pill capable of breaking the seal on his Dantian so he could cultivate again.

The journey to Pandan Wangi City would take six months on foot. If he used a horse, it could be shortened by three months.

Around ten days passed. Every one hour of travel required two hours of replenishing his energy, making the journey far slower than expected.

When the sun was directly overhead, Han Nian discovered a small village. All the houses there were small wooden huts. But that was rural life—simplicity was what mattered most to them, not luxury.

As he entered the village, Han Nian saw a middle-aged man sitting on a porch, his gaze fixed on a towering mountain in the distance.

“Excuse me, Uncle!” he greeted politely, bowing slightly. The man looked at Han Nian. Han Nian continued, “I just want to ask, Uncle. Is there a faster to Pandan Wangi City?”
