Unknown Destination

I pumped my arms as fast as I could. I could hear the alarmed voices of the ladies. They were still scrambling on the floor, trying to stand up. Thankfully, there was no guards posted outside the room. I continued running and came to a standstill at a crossroads. 

"Which way to go?" As I contemplated on the way to go, I heard heavy footfalls coming behind me. Looks like the ladies had company with them. I went with the middle one and continued straight ahead in a semi dark tunnel that must be underground. The footfalls were getting closer, I looked back to see two big muscular guys along with the ladies who looked pissed running at full speed.

"My lady, stop!." One of them called out.

"It is not safe running around like this." The other supported. Like I care, do they think I enjoy being kidnapped, locked up, having no clue if I will live or die and no idea of my location. They can catch me if they can, I scoffed. I increased my speed, this place was big and endless. I haven't even seen any other signs of life except for the people pursuing me. Like saving grace, then I saw light coming from the end of the tunnel. 

I pumped my arms faster and lengthen my strides. I ran into a long hallway running smack into a hard chest. The force at which I collided into the person forced the air out of my stomach. Strong male hands held my arms to prevent me from falling back. I looked up from the ridiculously tight stomach, to a set of well-defined pecs and when I got to his face, I was stunned at the most intense eyes I've ever seen. His eyes were amber colour, they were so captivating .... and weirdly beautiful like that of a ..... lion. His face was set in a hard scowl, even at that he was so handsome almost beautiful in an otherworldly way. His skin was an attractive bronze colour. Weirdly, I felt no attraction to him but a kind of connection that made me feel as if I know him . Then it clicked, OMG  he was Yellow fog. I gasped, I wasn't expecting Yellow fog to look like this. I was expecting him to look like a hideous monster.

"Who let her out of the room ?" He growled angrily. Yep, it was definitely him, I could guess that the dude had anger issues. Looks like my pursuers had finally caught up to me.

"My Lord, she deceived us and attacked us." One of the ladies heaved as she breathed out heavily. The other one glared at me. 

"And you?" he scowled at the two guards.

"You couldn't catch a puny and weak human?" 

"Hey!" He silenced me with a glare. At that they hung their heads in defeat and embarrassment.

I felt a little sorry for them from the tongue lashing they were receiving. As for me, I wouldn't want to be under that kind of assault.

"My Lord, we promise it wouldn't happen again."

"It better not, you are dismissed." He nodded at all of them. 

"And you, are to come with me." He grabbed my hand and dragged me forcefully to follow him.
