"Yes uncle, I'm here only with grandma," Christian responded, stepping forward.

Charles placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Everyone’s waiting for you Chris, let’s go."

Christian glanced at Amelia, as their conversation was paused in the middle itself, but she smiled softly, and he noticed something unreadable in her eyes before she gave him a gentle nod, "We can talk later," she assured him, "For now, let’s go."

Knowing it wasn’t the right time to insist on knowing more, Christian merely hummed in response and walked along with Amelia and Charles.

As they stepped into the party area, a sight of pure extravagance appeared infront of him.

"Why is even normal sleep became hard for me to afford?" Christian hadn’t slept at all. "Arghhh, why are these nightmares haunting me, why couldn't I even get some proper sleep?" After the dream, or illusion, or whatever it was, he’d stayed curled beneath the blankets, eyes wide open, listening to the tick of the old wall clock and the distant creaks of the manor settling in the cold night. "At this moment with lack of sleep, I might even turn into a zombie," He sighed within himself, "Turning into a zombie with no sleep and stress must be just a matter of time, I can really feel it."
