"Second trial?" Christian stood with renewed confidence after shattering the illusions of the first trial.

His legs were still unsteady, but his spirit sparkled brighter than ever.

He could feel it, the determined fire inside him, finally no longer flickering in doubt.

Liliana helped him steady himself with a gentle hand on his arm, her eyes glittering with pride and lingering worry.

"You good?" She asked quietly, "Is everything okay? You're not injured anywhere, are you?"

Christian nodded, brushing dust from his pants. "I think I'm okay aunt."

She fussed over his dusty hair. "Ugh, look at you completely messy!"

"It's okay, aunt," he smiled at her as she is wiping off dust from his face.

Charles didn’t say anything but gave him a short nod of acknowledgment.

Lord Sargent, as always, was composed, but Christian saw something shift in his eyes, pride.

Then, with no warning, the chamber changed once again keeping all of them anxious for a couple of minutes.
