ABRAHAM'S POV

I grab her wrist sharply and pull her toward me, she crashes straight into my chest.

“What are you doing here?” I ask, anger lacing my voice.

She looks at me, startled, her breathing uneven, “T-there in that room someone is there… I heard a voice ”

I hold her gaze, my tone turning cold, “There’s no one. Go downstairs.”

She shakes her head quickly, “No… I swear, someone is there… please, just check once…”

My patience starts to wear thin, “I said there’s no one. Go downstairs.”

She doesn’t move… just stands there, staring at me. Then suddenly her voice rises, “You’ve locked someone in there, haven’t you?”

For a second… I freeze.

She steps back, fear and anger mixing in her eyes, “You can stoop this low? Seriously? You..you’re a disgusting person!”

Something dark flashes in my eyes.

In an instant, I grab her hair tightly and slam her against the wall. She cries out in pain, “Ahhh… let me go!”

I lean in close, my voice low and dangerous, each word pressed with force, “Lower your voice… and don’t forget… you’re talking to the Mafia King.”

Her breath stutters, but she still gathers the courage to speak, “So what? Just because you’re a Mafia King, you can do anything? Lock people up?”

I tighten my grip on her hair, “You see only what you’re told to see… thinking too much isn’t good for you.”

Tears fill her eyes, but she keeps staring back at me, “I’m not blind… or deaf… I heard it… someone was asking for help…”

I go silent for a moment… then say slowly, “Believing every voice you hear… will cost you.”

She shakes her head stubbornly, “No… I need to know the truth… what are you hiding?”

I release her. She quickly steps back, fixing her hair with trembling hands.

Straightening up, I look at her, my voice now colder than before, “You think you can judge me?”

She answers quietly, “I only know one thing weak people are the ones who lock others away.”

My fists clench.

I step toward her slowly, “Do I look weak to you?”

She takes a step back… then stops, “You’re powerful… but you’re not human.”

A faint, dark laugh escapes me, “Humanity… I left that behind a long time ago.”

She looks at me and asks softly, “Then what are you?”

I meet her eyes and reply, “The thing people see in their nightmares.”

Silence falls… heavy and suffocating.

Then I lean closer to her and whisper, “This is the last time I’m telling you… go downstairs… or I’ll do something you won’t be able to bear.”

She stares at me for a few seconds, Then without saying a word, she turns and slowly walks down the stairs.

I watch her as she walks toward the stairs, “Stop.”

She freezes, then slowly turns back to look at me, “What do you want now…?”

I start walking toward her, slow and deliberate.

I grab her hand and pull her toward me she ends up standing right against me again.

“You argued with me…” I say quietly,

“You should be punished for that.”

She immediately tries to pull her hand free.

“Don’t touch me! Who do you think you are?”

I lean closer, my voice low.

“Someone you can’t even begin to understand…”

Her eyes fill with anger, “I’m not afraid of you!”

A faint smirk appears on my lips, “You should be.”

She pushes me hard, “Stay away from me!”

But before she can step back, I grab her face and kiss her. For a moment… everything freezes.

She shoves me away, breathing hard, her eyes full of shock and fury, “You… you really are a monster!”

She turns and starts walking quickly toward the stairs, “I.. I hate you!”

As she begins to go down Her foot suddenly slips.

“Ahhhhhhhhhh!”

She starts falling but in the process, she grabs my collar.

I lose my balance too and the next moment We both tumble down the stairs together.

Instinctively, I pull her tightly into my arms, trying to protect her head.

She clutches my shirt in fear, holding onto me tightly. We keep falling step by step… every impact forcing a cry out of her, “Aahh…!”

Finally, with a hard jolt We both land at the bottom on the floor, Everything goes still.

For a few seconds, neither of us moves. Only the sound of our heavy breathing fills the silence.

She suddenly pushes herself up, wincing in pain, “Are you out of your mind?!”

She snaps, glaring at me. “This happened because of you!”

I sit up slowly, my jaw tightening, “Because of me? You’re the one who slipped.”

She lets out a sharp, disbelieving laugh, “Wow… seriously? You dragged me, forced me and now it’s my fault?”

I get to my feet, brushing the dust off my shirt, my voice turning cold, “Watch your tone.”

She stands up too, holding her arm, her eyes burning with anger, “No, you watch yours! This happened because of you, understand? If you hadn’t forced me.”

“Enough!” I cut her off sharply.

But she doesn’t stop, “No! Not today! You think you can control everything? Pull people around, threaten them, hurt them.”

I step closer, my gaze darkening, “And you think you can scream at me without consequences?”

She lifts her chin stubbornly, “Yes! Because you’re wrong!”

For a moment, we just stare at each other, anger clashing with anger. Then she points at me, her voice shaking but firm, “This didn’t happen because of me… it happened because of you. Do you understand?”

My fists clench.

“Don’t twist things,” I say through gritted teeth.

“You lost your balance… and now you’re blaming me.”

She scoffs, “Lost my balance? You grabbed my hand, pulled me, unsettled me— and now you’re saying I slipped?”

Then she says more softly, but with pain, “You hurt people… and then you blame them for it.”

I shout in anger, “SHUT UP!”

She immediately flinches her breathing turns uneven fear and anger both visible in her eyes. Without thinking, I lift her into my arms.

“Let me go! What are you doing?!” she struggles, grabbing my shirt, trying to free herself.

I clench my jaw, “Stay quiet… say one more word and it won’t end well for you.”

She glares at me, “Have you lost your mind?! Put me down!”

I ignore her completely and walk straight toward the room, I push the door open forcefully and step inside, throwing her onto the bed.

She instantly tries to get up, “Don’t you dare touch me! Do you understand?!”

I move closer to her anger burning in my eyes.

“You think you can challenge me?” I say in a low, dangerous voice.

She moves back, reaching the edge of the bed, “I’m not afraid of you… do you understand?!”

I lean closer, “You should be.”

She shakes her head, “No. You can only scare people… you can’t earn respect!”

My fists clench tightly. I’m just about to grab her face, When suddenly, KNOCK! KNOCK!

I freeze. My anger rises even more.

“Who is it?!” I shout.

A voice comes from outside, “Sir… the meeting is about to start…”

I close my eyes for a second frustration is clearly visible.

“Damn it…” I mutter.

Then I straighten up, pick up my jacket, and start putting it on.

She slowly gets up too, glaring at me, and mutters under her breath, “Beast…”

I stand in front of the mirror, adjusting my sleeves, a faint smirk forming on my lips.

“I can hear everything…” I say coldly.

She goes silent for a moment.

Without looking at her, I say, “Be ready in five minutes.”

She immediately responds, “I’m not going anywhere.”

I slowly turn toward her… my eyes are locking onto hers, “That’s an order.”

She keeps staring at me… but this time, she says nothing.

I add one last line, “And no more questions.”

Then, without looking back, I open the door… and walk out. A few minutes later, I step outside the guard immediately opens the car door.

“Come.” I say.

She hesitates for a moment then, unwillingly, walks with me. I grab her hand this time my grip is even tighter.

“Let go of my hand…” she says softly.

Without looking at her, I reply, “Don’t create a scene in public.”

The car starts… after a few minutes of silent driving, it stops in front of a grand Royal Palace.

She looks outside, stunned, “Why… why have you brought me here?”

I lean slightly toward her and say in a low voice,

“Now you’ll understand what your place is.”

She glares at me, “I don’t want to be a part of anything that belongs to you!”

A faint smirk appears on my lips, “You already are.”

I step out of the car… then pull her out with me, still holding her hand, “Let’s go.”

She resists, “I won’t..”

I cut her off coldly, “Say one more word and I’ll send you somewhere far worse than this world.”

She falls silent and we walk inside, A large hall… filled with people already seated at a long table… a high-class meeting atmosphere.

The moment I enter everyone stands up.

“Good evening, sir.”

I give a slight nod… then my gaze lands straight ahead, Peter.

He’s sitting there… the moment he sees me, his face goes pale. Eva is sitting beside him… equally shocked.

Annie whispers softly, “What… what are they doing here?”

I lean closer to her and murmur, “Their presence here is exactly my real purpose.”

I walk to the main chair and sit down gesturing for Annie to sit beside me.

She hesitates, “I won’t sit here.”

I look straight into her eyes and say, “Sit.”

Slowly, she sits down.

The meeting begins. The chief guest stands up and says, “Sir, as you know for the new diamond designs project, we have shortlisted multiple companies but we are unable to finalize the owner.”

I listen casually… but my eyes keep drifting toward Peter.

He is clearly nervous.

“Sir… the final decision will be yours,” the man adds.

I tap my fingers lightly on the table… then say, “Then let’s make the final announcement today.”

Everyone becomes serious. Eva leans toward Peter and whispers, “Relax… the contract will go to you.”

I glance at them with a faint smirk then lean back in my chair.

“We’ll see…”

Silence fills the room. I sit straight… and say clearly, “The new owner of the diamond designs company… is Mrs. Annie Fernandez.”

For a second… time seems to stop.

“W-what?!” Annie looks at me in complete shock.

Peter suddenly rises from his chair, his voice filled with anger and frustration.

“This.. This is wrong! I invested money in this project! I deserve this right!”

A wave of murmurs spreads across the room.

I remain completely calm, just watching him.

“This is injustice! You.. You can’t just give it to anyone.” Before he can finish..

My bodyguards immediately point their guns at him. The entire hall freezes.

Some people stand up in fear… others’ hands begin to tremble, Peter’s voice falters for a moment… his gaze slowly shifts toward the guns aimed at him.

“W.. what are you doing…?” he stammers. Just then, Eva suddenly stands up.

“Enough! This has gone too far!” Her voice echoes through the entire hall.

She looks straight at me, anger blazing in her eyes and sys, “A.. Abraham! You’ve forgotten your place!”

My eyes begin to darken anger slowly rising to the surface. But Eva doesn’t stop.

“You.. You are nothing! Not even worth a penny!” she says.

The hall falls into complete silence. People begin stepping back in fear some are literally shaking.

I look at Eva again and say slowly, “You were the one who started talking about ‘status.”

I lean closer to her and whisper, “Now I’ll be the one to finish it.”
