The Moonlight Restaurant was a quiet, elegant place with no bright signs or banners outside. Its entrance had two tall bronze doors, a small plaque on the wall, and a doorman dressed in a dark coat.

The expensive cars parked outside made it clear that the restaurant was a favorite among wealthy people.

Ethan eased his car to a stop beneath the awning and shifted into park.

"Go on in," he said. "I'll find a space in the garage. Five minutes."

Natalie nodded and stepped out into the drizzle, the

She hadn’t expected him to question her relationship with Jenny. She had assumed Ethan would be pleased to discover that someone had admired him for years, especially now that he was free from his failed marriage. Instead, he looked at her as though she were some kind of disgrace.Elena’s expression hardened for a moment, but she quickly forced a smile.“Ethan, you’re misunderstanding me.”“Am I?”“Yes.” She took another step toward him. “Jenny simply couldn’t see your worth. That’s the truth. She had everything, yet she never understood how fortunate she was to have a man like you.”Ethan said nothing.“But I did,” Elena continued passionately. “I’ve always known what kind of man you are. I’ve seen your determination, your success, and the way you treat the people you care about. Even when you were married to Jenny, I knew you deserved someone who would truly appreciate you.”“Someone like you, I suppose?”“Exactly!”Elena answered without hesitation.“I would never take you for gra

Ethan’s firm stance, however, only made Elena more ecstatic. The corners of her lips lifted uncontrollably, and a bright smile spread across her face. “That’s wonderful!” The words escaped her before she could stop herself. Ethan paused, his hand hovering over the document he had just picked up. “What did you say?” Elena quickly covered her mouth, but it was too late. Her excitement was written all over her face. “I mean…” She cleared her throat, trying to compose herself. “I’m glad you’ve finally decided to move on.” Ethan stared at her suspiciously. There was something strange about her reaction. He had just told her that his marriage was over and that he would never reconcile with Jenny. Any ordinary person might have expressed sympathy or tried to comfort him. But Elena looked as though he had just given her the best news of her life. “Are you happy that my marriage failed?” he asked bluntly. Elena blinked. For a moment, she considered denying it. However, after year

He repeated the name, his brows drawing together slightly. Then, after a brief pause, recognition flickered in his eyes. “Jenny’s older sister?” A bright smile immediately returned to Elena’s face. “I’m glad you remember me.” Ethan gave a noncommittal hum. Truthfully, he had never paid much attention to Elena. They had met only a handful of times in the past, usually when she was around Jenny or attending some family gathering. Even then, he had barely exchanged a few words with her. He had never considered her someone worth remembering, nor had he ever made an effort to get to know her. Besides, Elena and Jenny looked nothing alike. Jenny had a completely different appearance and temperament. There was little resemblance between the two sisters, and if Elena hadn’t introduced herself, Ethan might have struggled to connect her to Jenny at all. “What brings you here?” he asked flatly. Elena’s smile faltered at his indifferent tone, but she quickly recovered. “Is that how yo

Meanwhile, at the amusement park, Ethan and Natalie were sitting across from the park’s management team, discussing a potential collaboration. “We’re planning to shoot a new promotional commercial to attract more visitors,” the manager explained. “After reviewing several candidates, we’ve decided that Kris would be the perfect choice for the lead role.” Kris, who was sitting beside Natalie, blinked in surprise. “Me?” The manager smiled. “Yes, you. We believe you have the right look and personality for the commercial. If you’re interested, we’d be happy to discuss the details.” Kris glanced nervously at Ethan and Natalie. Since everything that had happened to her, she had struggled to regain her confidence. The thought of standing in front of cameras again filled her with both excitement and apprehension. Ethan noticed her hesitation. “What do you think?” he asked gently. Kris bit her lip. “I’m not sure I’m good enough for something like this anymore.” “Why wouldn’t

Jenny finally raised her head. “Today?” “Yes, today!” Elena snapped. “Or do you intend to sit here and watch the entire company collapse while you wallow in self-pity?” “I never said I wouldn’t hand it over!” Jenny retorted weakly. “But you can’t expect me to give up everything I’ve worked for just because you’ve decided to come back!” Elena let out a mocking laugh. “Everything you’ve worked for? Look around you, Jenny! The company is drowning in debt, employees are losing their jobs, and suppliers are threatening to sue us. What exactly are you so determined to hold on to?” Jenny’s face paled, but she forced herself to meet her sister’s eyes. “I’ve been trying to save this company! You have no idea what I’ve been going through!” “Oh, spare me the excuses!” Elena shot back. “You’ve had every opportunity to prove yourself, and look where we are now. Do you honestly expect me to stand by and watch you destroy what’s left?” Jenny clenched her fists. “You think takin
