Affair?

The woman's forehead was full of sweat as she looked at the slimy thing that Hearthe just spat on the ground.

'No way. This can't be. Please someone wake me up.'

For the first time since she entered this house, the woman pulled herself together and took a step forward to take a closer look at the 'object'.

There lay a severed hand on the ground, covered with Hearthe's saliva since she just brought it using her mouth.

There were of course traces of soil all over the hand since it was buried in the ground.

'Wait! Buried? Does this mean his whole body is buried here under the ground?' She raised her head to look at the spot from where Hearthe just brought the hand out.

She brought her hand to place it over her widened mouth. A stream of tears gushed out of both her eyes.

She wanted to shout at them- Caesar and Hearthe- to stop joking with her already.

But one look at the severed hand and she knew that the hand really belonged to her husband.

They had been married to each other for many years after all. She knows each and every part of her husband's body and she can easily find them even if they were placed among a bunch of other parts.

'Wait! What am I thinking? Why am I thinking of my husband's body parts being mixed up with other's body parts?' She can't believe that she just got an image of a gruesome scene in her mind which made her puke instantly.

'When did my mind become so twisted?' She asked herself. She then looked around to see Caesar who looked as calm and cool as ever as if her puking in his garden was nothing to care about.

Then she looked at Hearthe and then at Monkero who were looking at her just as calmly as Caesar was.

'These people- no, wait. Not people. These creatures are twisted. Don't tell me, their twistedness is contagious? Did their twisted personality passed to me just because I stayed in this house with them for what- less than an hour?'

The woman's eyes widened in shock.

She wants to run away from this man and his weird creatures.

She wants to run far away from this twisted house.

But, what about her husband?

The ring with a ruby studded at the center that lay on the ring finger definitely belongs to her husband.

There is no way they would have removed her husband's ring and wore it to another hand.

Because she knew that the ring was not removable from his hand. They had tried so many times to remove that stupid ring but maybe because the man had turned fat after wearing the ring for a couple of years, the ring no longer came out of his finger.

Hence she was so sure that the hand that was now helplessly lying on the ground covered with saliva of an unknown creature definitely belongs- or rather belonged- to her husband.

She wants to take the hand into hers. But how would she dare to do that when she saw that it was cruelly severed?

Her mind is not that twisted yet.

Even if she dared to hold the severed hand, she didn't like to touch the saliva of the snake-like creature which was totally coated all around the hand.

Being with a clean freak husband for so many years, she herself too turned into a clean freak making it unable to allow her mindset to hold a hand that was coated with someone's saliva.

Too disgusting.

She then turned her head to look at Caesar and asked him despite already knowing the answer to her question, "Is that hand really my husband's?"

Caesar lazily raised both his hands and placed them over the back of his head, giving off the vibes of a rogue as he replied, "Do you really not recognize your own husband's hand? Are you both really a couple? Don't tell me even after being together for so many years, you both do not have any feelings for each other? Your relationship is that bad?"

Then he even acted as if he just realized something shocking as he continued, "No wonder you both do not have kids after being married for so many years. Tsk tsk, poor you. You could have divorced him and married someone you love if that was the case, right? Why do you have to waste so many years of your life with a man whom you never loved?

"Or is it that you already have someone you love and even have a relationship with him behind your husband's back? Oh my! Oh my! You really are courageous, huh? Does your husband know about your affair?

"I don't think so, right? If he knew about your affair, would he have the time to think about a stupid wall behind his garden?" As he continued speaking, his words turned even more outrageous than the ones before.
