The iron door swung open, and Armand stepped out of his cell before immediately glancing toward the corner where Ashake had been standing.

Nothing. The elf was gone, and there wasn’t even a footprint in the dust.

Armand frowned. "Where did he go?"

Colin glanced around. "Who?"

Armand hesitated. "Never mind."

Podric hurried forward and pulled a dark hooded cloak from beneath his own. "Put this on. It’s a disguise."
