Sinas walked past Luther expressionlessly. However, in reality, his heart was beating so fast. Despite the approval of the other Nightrose crewmembers, Luther was still the man in charge.
If Luther got crazy and believe that Sinas was a threat, either he plots a plan to dispose of him silently or just mainly kill him like how he did effortlessly with Dylan.
Sinas already passed by him when Luther snorted and then said to him coldly, “You tried to dig some dirt on me. That's quite bold of you, Sinas. It's your day one, and you're already up and about.”
After turning around, Sinas realized that Luther was not even looking at him. Sinas mocks him by feigning ignorance, just as Luther did earlier.
“I didn't. The crew didn't seem to see it either. Are you sure you're not paranoid, Luther?” Sinas asked, with arms crossed over his chest.
Luther conceals his fury with a malicious smile as he chuckles, “You asked for this
In Taflen house…“Luther? Luther took my place? That kid? Who even voted for him?” Arwin kept asking unhappily. She kept protesting Taflen as if she had heard the most unbelievable joke in her life. Before Taflen could even speak, Arwin continued to ask once more, “How could you let that man run Night Rose? He’s selfish and vile.”Taflen sighs as he sits down on the huge rock outside his house. He was sweating profusely now.Arwin was no longer his captain, but somehow he still felt terrified of Arwin when she was scolding him. Taflen had the urge to laugh, but Arwin would grind him further if she realized she was not being treated seriously."Oy! Taflen! Are you listening to me? Answer me!" Arwin called out with unmasked frustration.Taflen released a heavy sigh before answering, “No one had to. There's no one else eligible apart from him and me."Arwin glared at him.Taflen shrugged
She could hear his voice uttering her name every time. Ultimately, she remembers him and the day they wrote that letter. By just remembering, Arwin felt suffocated. There was a lump on her throat that felt like someone was choking her. Her eyes burned, and she knew that she was about to cry.Arwin refused to cry. There was only a handful of times when she did cry, and it was not something she wanted to do often. This annoying person… Already dead, but still causing me to cry… Arwin could not help but complain to herself.Taflen curiously asks, “What’s the matter? Do you know who wrote it?”“Yes,” She said softly as she nods. Arwin was still holding back her tears, but she was having a hard time doing so.Taflen noticed how she was acting differently, and he got worried. "Who is it?" He asked softly. And with a smile, Arwin replies, “It’s from Mosse. A friend of mine.&rdqu
Timothy stiffened, before he nodded reluctantly.Pi then smiled knowingly, before responding, “There’s a reason why Luther, the acting captain of Night Rose could not kill him.”“Killing the former member might cause a rebellion.” Timothy finally realizes, “Meaning that former member may be significant.”Pi nodded this time. She was silent for a moment, before looking at Timothy seriously, and then asked, “So, what are you suggesting I do?" With Luther around, Night Rose might continue causing havoc anywhere.Timothy and Rosa exchanged glances. Rosa then shook her head, resigned. That only means that she was also unsure on what to do.Pi was patient. She waited for them to process their thoughts, and only took a sip from her drink from time to time. After a few more minutes of silence, Timothy spoke, “We need to think this through first,” he said honestly.Pi nodded, “I
What did Pi said earlier? He knew damn well that it's a threat, if it’s not a curse.Timothy knew that if he fails on his mission to take out the former member and bring the captain back or if the prisoner escapes, one of them would not be making it out back to the town of Six. Rosa cleared her throat, before she reached out and help Timothy’s hand. She then asked with concern, “What are you thinking about? You always seem to be thinking about a lot these days.”Timothy brushes the thoughts off and tried to smile. He knew it was not convincing, but he still wanted to assure her that he was fine. He then replied, “It’s nothing much… just thinking about life if we didn’t leave Shadowcoast. Do you think it would have been better?”Before she could answer he added, "Life was tough there, but given all that we went through… isn't it better to just stay?"Rosa stared at him, fo
“Arwin?” A familiar voice echoes throughout the river stream.Arwin immediately covers her mouth as she asked, “What are you doing here, Nexus?”Nexus removed Arwin’s hands and says, “I followed you.”"Oh wow, you followed me. I didn't know that." Arwin sarcastically replies, trying to be as cautious as possible,"Yeah, I followed you through the- Oh… you were sarcastic." Nexus remarks as she continues, "Wow, Arwin, your sarcasm is so fluent." Arwin looks around to make sure they are not being followed by anyone. She says to Nexus in a softer voice, "Look, you can't be with me. Why did you even follow me? I'm barely a stranger. "“You’re not. You seem awfully close with my dad.”“That just sounds wrong.” Arwin sighs, “Ah geez, I need to take you back home.”Nexus protests, “You can’t.”"What do you me
"Come here!" Taflen squabbles with Cain quite disorderly, which makes Rosa, remember when Timothy used to do that with Mark and his fellow close friends. Now, she can barely recognize him.Timothy seems distant and untrusting lately.Arwin’s death affected him so much because partly, he double-crosses Arwin to get out of Sinas’ grip.“You need to get out of this village. My husband- Timothy, he’s coming to kill you.” Rosa looks away, “I told Pi that you fit the description of the captain’s image that I extracted from Cain.”"Pi?" Taflen switches to a serious voice as he continues, "She can tell immediately if you're lying. They modified their senses similar to the animals with good instincts using technology. If your husband returns to them empty–handed and without you, Pi's people will come after you. Even your husband."“I know.” Rosa stands firm as she clenches her fist, “Bu
Taflen leaves, making sure that Rosa and Cain does not see his worried face,Meanwhile, as Rosa and Cain are on the way to the builder’s village, their paths start to emerge. Rosa, Cain, Arwin, Nexus, Gloin, Mark and John are going to meet soon.Time is the essence. With different goals, all of them set out on their journey that will ultimately lead them to each other.A great journey, once again, they step forward to tomorrow.Unbeknownst to them, Sinas is inside Night Rose already. Sinas is thinking of a plan to going to city Two in pursuit of Taflen. Where Timothy aims to kill him, Sinas aims to save him and get- manipulate rather- him to stand against Luther.Sinas observes Luther's actions in the past days, but there is nothing unusual or worthy of taking notes. It makes him impatient.Suddenly, a commotion rises at the main deck. Most of the crewmembers stop working as they form a crowd at the notification
She cuts her hand and watches it bleed without healing. With a chuckle, she remarks under her breathe, “I guess I’m not immortal either.”Arwin is back right where she started. She's just a normal human being right now, and once again, she will have to rely on her instincts to survive. Pretending to be a man saved her back then and now, being a woman will. The next day comes, and Arwin is up early, clothing herself similarly to Nexus'. All-white clothing with an accent of bright orange glasses covering her eyes. Arwin lets her hair down as well, as she adds an orange scarf.Nexus remarks as she tiredly gets up from her bed, rubbing her eyes and still yawning. She says to Arwin, "Isn't the goal not to get any attention?""Well, you see, Night Rose won't recognize me. They all believed that their captain was a sturdy male figure, and my friends from the forest knew I'd be the type to hide in and blend with the crowd." Arwin remarks,
