Mr. Landon quickly recovered from the slap, he faced his men and roared.

“What are you still doing, release him!!”

Sir George doesn't like violence, and he is the Mayor, there is no way he will folds his hand and watch him brutally assault somebody.

Dammit!!

This bastard is lucky that the Mayor showed up.

Jason was released immediately, he was starting to break free anyway, his strength seemed to be increasing every minute.

He doesn't know what is happening to him, his body seems to be packed with so much energy, surely those men won't have been able to hold him any longer.

Jason walks to the exit without looking at anybody's face; however, he plans to show the Mayor his respect.

Mr. Landon couldn't hold it anymore, Jason wasn't walking fast enough, he was delaying the Mayor's time.

“Get the hell out of here already, Bastard!!!”

George's face darkened, he would've killed Mr. Landon already if these kids weren't here, he is lucky to still be alive, and he dares insult the master again.

He angrily stepped forward to Landon and slapped him on his face, the force sent Mr. Landon to the ground, the slap was heavier than the former, and it echoed through the room.

Mr. Landon was stupefied, what did he do now, his face was red like a tomato, but he dare not ask questions.

He quickly bows his head on the floor.

“Spare me, Sir George. Please pardon my mannerless behavior”

George felt like crushing Landon down with his feet, but that will look overboard to the people around, he was lucky that these kids were around.

He turned to face Jason, he would've knelt already, but he couldn't do it because of the people's presence, and the master doesn't know who he truly is.

“What happened”

He approached Jason. He must handle the situation fully, so the master can reward him later.

Jason was surprised the Mayor cared to listen, so he explained everything to him.

George's face darkened. He turned facing Natalie.

“Come here”

Natalie's legs turned jelly, the Mayor of Ocean Berry, the Winston family, one of the most powerful families in Ocean Berry, the head of the Winston family, George Winston, is calling her.

Her heart skipped, her family are crawling babies in front of the Winston family, what is she going to do now, even the Jackson won't dare to cough in their presence, let alone a commoner family like hers.

Natalie struggled moving her legs to George, she dare not lie, the cctv camera will prove everything.

“Sir, I am sorry!”

Natalie dropped to her knees with tears streaming down from her face.

George didn't pay attention to her words, he faced the men behind him, and they handed him a pen.

He throws the pen close to Natalie.

“Sign the documents”

Natalie's heart skipped, she can't sign the documents, she can't work for free for twenty years, and it's even overtime working, she will have to quit schooling.

“Sir…, I will pay the money. I have the money with me”

George didn't put ears to her words.

“You have five seconds to decide, or you will face prison immediately. Five years is what I would arrange for you, that is the minimum”

Natalie's heart jumped, she quickly rushed to the document, everybody knows that the Mayor doesn't joke with his words, and his men were already moving to seize her.

She opens the documents and starts signing the spaces that requires her signature, her eyes capture the fee of breaking the conduct of the contract.

One billion dollars.

Her hands started shaking, what had she done.

George sounded when she was done.

“I will put somebody here to monitor you”

Natalie collapsed to the ground feeling helpless, she is finished, Jason this ANIMAL!

Robert and Jade were shaking in their spot, they were afraid the Mayor would tag them into this case, even though Jason didn't say anything about them.

George faced Mr. Landon.

“Pardon me, Sir George, I didn't know anything about the whole situation, I didn't get to hear the whole story!!”

Mr. Landon was shivering uncontrollably, this is the Mayor they are talking about, one of Ocean Berry's most fearful men.

“Of course I will pardon you, but I have other things to address.

“You have been defrauding the government of your taxes, and the statue outside was constructed on the road. Your fine is a billion dollars, come to the courthouse tomorrow. Bring your lawyer along”

Mr. Landon's heart kicked violently, he felt like dying already, everything the Mayor said is true, he is finished!

“Sir George…”

“Get out!!!, All of you!!!”

George clapped, and his men brought out their guns and simultaneously shot all the cameras in the room.

Mr. Landon hurriedly rushed to the exit.

He dare not disobey the Mayor's orders.

Robert and Jade also hurried to the exit, including Natalie, the sound of the gunshots almost made them peed in their pants.

Jason waited because he wanted to thank the Mayor, however, all the men suddenly dropped to their knees when everybody left.

Jason was dumbfounded by their actions, he turned to the Mayor and the Mayor was also on his knees.

“You are the last surviving heir of the Spectre family.

“I, George Winston, is a disciple of the Spectre family. I have come to swear my loyalty to the Master”

George bows his head on the floor, he had to make sure nobody was watching, the master identity is very complicated.

Jason was completely flabbergasted by George's words, what is the Mayor saying, and why is he bowing his head on the floor.

How did the Mayor even know his family name.

Jason was confused.

“I don't know what you are talking about, Sir George. You got the wrong person”

George raised his head to face the master.

“That ring can't be fake. You are from the Spectre family, flesh and blood, and you looked exactly like your grandfather”

His voice vibrated the room again.

Jason's heart skipped when George mentioned the ring, this is the only thing his family left him with, they abandoned him and left him with a ring.

“This ring belongs to my family, they told me that at the orphanage home”

George's fist hardened, the earlier scenes flashed through his mind, the master must've suffered a lot of hardship.

“I am sorry, I failed to locate you master”

“How do you know, I am truly the person you are looking for”

Jason was curious now, he still believed the Mayor had mistaken him for somebody else, but he wished he was the right person.

George stands up to his feet.

“Haven't you be feeling strange, your body hasn't been the same since you got injured badly”

At that moment, Abigail could only shake her head, the weight of disappointment pressing heavily on her chest. Her perfectly styled hair barely moved, but her fingers twitched by her sides, curling slightly in silent frustration. This wasn’t how things were supposed to go—not at all. She had walked into this meeting with the confident belief that she held the upper hand. She thought all it would take was a bit of pressure, a few sharp words, and Summer would eventually fold. That she would give them what they wanted. That the girl would break under the tension of so many eyes watching her, judging her.But Summer didn’t.And now, Abigail stood there, silently swallowing the chaos that was erupting within her. Because this wasn’t just about authority or pride. No, it was far deeper than that. She had come here with a purpose—one purpose only. Not for politics. Not for status. She wasn’t here to punish or prove anything. What she truly wanted, the only reason she had sat through this st

At that moment, Soma folded her arms, her gaze firm and unwavering as she stood her ground before the panel. Her voice came out with a sharp edge, clear and unapologetic. “Let me make this very clear,” she began, her tone calm but cold, “the person I came with whoever he is, whatever he is that has nothing to do with any of you. It is not your business. Not one bit. So why are you all pressing so hard like I’ve committed a crime? Why are you trying to twist this into something it’s not?”The room went quiet again, but this time it wasn’t the shocked kind of silence it was the tense kind, the one that made people shift in their seats and look at one another, unsure whether to interrupt her or let her finish.Soma continued, her voice unwavering, “If you think I’ve done something wrong, then do what you need to do. Run your investigation. Check your footage. Call in your experts. But if you think I’m going to stand here and hand over that person’s identity to satisfy your curiosity, you

There was no warmth in her eyes now only the cold, calculated tone of someone who had made up her mind before the conversation even started. She said clearly, “So, for everything that has happened, and for the consequences we’re now dealing with, Soma you need to apologize. Not just any apology. A sincere one. And it has to be public. That means you’re going to record a video where you will clearly state that you overreacted, and you’ll admit that you should have followed due process instead of taking matters into your own hands. No excuses. No back and forth. Just a clean, public statement of remorse.”The room became uncomfortably still.Soma blinked in disbelief, trying to keep her expression composed, but anyone paying close attention could see the flicker of shock on her face. Still, she didn’t say a word. But Abigail wasn’t finished.

She had known she was coming for a meeting yes. But she didn’t expect this. She didn’t expect to be the reason the entire association gathered in this room full of respected dignitaries, top veterinary professionals, and people who barely even glanced at her the first time she walked through those heavy glass doors. She slowly turned her head toward Mr. Dave, her eyes searching his face, as if trying to find the catch behind his calm, serious tone. But there was none. He was serious. He meant every word.Mr. Dave, sensing her confusion, continued.“Well,” he began, folding his hands together on the table and leaning forward slightly, “we heard about what happened during the competition. At that moment, she didn't waste any time. She drove carefully, her hands tight on the steering wheel, her mind still swirling with mixed thoughts about Jason, Camilla, and everything happening around her. The city roads felt longer than usual, even though she knew exactly where she was going. She was headed to the Association of Veterinarians Headquarters, a place she had only seen a few times before, but today, she had been personally invited. They had called her earlier that morning for an urgent meeting, and even though her emotions were not fully settled, she had decided to honor the invitation. After all, the association had now become the talk of the town—every top vet clinic, pet hospital, and animal rescue center wanted to be affiliated with it. And she, being a rising star in the veterinary world, was finally being recognized. When she got there, the building itself looked more prestigious than she remembered. At that moment, Soma’s sister stood her ground, arms crossed tightly and her eyes burning with stubborn fire. She looked directly at Soma with a challenging stare, refusing to back down.“Well, that’s not my concern,” she said, her voice firm and full of defiance. “You’re only saying all this because you’re trying to be nice. Because you’re trying to be kind and proper and careful like you always are.”She scoffed lightly. “But let’s not act like there’s nothing there. There is something. Everyone can feel it, even Jason probably knows it, and you” she pointed at Soma, “you’re the only one pretending not to see it.”She took a sharp breath and tossed her hair over her shoulder. “Since you don’t want to go talk to Jason… since you don’t want to push yourself to say how you feel, then I will. I’m going to do it myself. Nobody is stopping me.”Her voice rose slightly. “Jason is my friend too. And if you’re too scared to be honest, then someone else has to say it for you, and that’s what
