Ryder glanced at the man rushing towards him and couldn't help but smirk.
His reflexes and reaction time were not ordinary anymore. After all the system had injected into him, even if there were fifty of the men, they wouldn't be able to beat him. What's more, they were only about fifteen, so he didn't put them in his eyes at all. Ryder stepped back a little the moment the man got closer to him, making the baton hit nothing but the air. At the same time, Ryder moved, grabbing the man’s outstretched hands. Using the momentum to his advantage, he pulled him closer, raised his legs and kicked the man's groin. "Argh!" A blood-curdling scream resounded throughout the room, but Ryder was not done yet. He grabbed the man's collar, raised him, his elbow connected straight with his jaws.. "Arghhhh!" The man screamed again, but this was just the beginning, Ryder was not ready to let go. Ryder released the man and he fell to the floor on his fours breathing heavily Before he could breathe properly, Ryder raised his legs and kicked his abdomen, sending him flying. "Bang!" The man flew, colliding with the glass table nearby by breaking it almost immediately. But Ryder was still not satisfied and walked over to the man, grabbed his collar, raised him, and punched his abdomen. "Splurt!" The man immediately coughed out blood. His eyes were swollen and there were shards of glass on his body. Ryder glanced at the man and punched him again before finally releasing him and turning around to observe the others. Everyone's eyes were wide open as they all stared at Ryder in disbelief. "Whose next?" Ryder grinned, scrutinizing the men who were covered in sweat "You can all come, but remember I'll not show mercy, " Ryder continued with a smile while motioning with a hand. Instantly, the men moved backward; none of them dared to move closer to Ryder. "Seems like you're all still having the thoughts of attacking." Ryder narrowed his eyes and took a step forward. "Clang!" The sound of metal dropping to the floor echoed throughout the Villa, and the men took a step backward again; none of them dared to face Ryder. A smug smile slowly crept into Ryder’s face and he turned to the three men who were still sitting on the sofa. Their expressions had changed. Sweat covered their foreheads, while the hands holding the cigarette shivered, their whole body trembled. "Are you going to get up, or should I come get you up?" Ryder scowled, moving towards them. Just as if there were needles on the couch, the three-shot up almost immediately. They had seen how cruel Ryder was. Their men were cowards and they had no skills whatsoever. They didn't want to end up like the first man, so they had to do all that Ryder was going to say. "Now, let's go," Ryder commanded, and the three men nodded. In the face of real power, they didn't dare make a sound and just nodded. After all, they were not hardened criminals and were just some miscreants who bullied the weak and feared the strong. ------ Thirty minutes later, a car pulled up before the police station. Alighting from it was Ryder and the three men following him with their heads down. Though Ryder didn't handcuff them, they didn't dare run away. Walking into the police station, Ryder's colleagues froze, gazing at Ryder, their mouths open wide unable to close anymore while they blinked as though they couldn't believe what they were seeing. Then they stared at the three criminals who were following him like they were his children.. They naturally knew what had happened and knew he had been punished. But what they didn't expect was that he was going to come back with criminals. "Ryder, you've done a good job." A familiar hoarse voice came just as Ryder locked the criminals in the cell. "Thank you, sir." Ryder turned around and bowed to the man, who happened to be his superior and was the one who had punished him. Ryder sighed in relief, knowing that there was no need for him to go and meet him in his office. "Next time, you have to be more careful, I won't ask how you managed to bring them back." The hoarse voice sounded and Ryder felt a hand pat his shoulder. Hearing this, Ryder was even more relieved, but just as he was about to say something, a mechanical voice rang in his head. "Mission Accomplished." "Reward is ready. Check your rewards icon to redeem." The mechanical voice continued and the light screen popped up in front of Ryder. Looking at the screen, Ryder noticed that the last mission to capture the three criminals that had escaped was full and soon it disappeared. The one to capture fifty criminals in a month read three out of fifty, while the one for ten criminals read three out of ten. This made Ryder satisfied and he wondered what was the reward he got. He wondered if it was going to be money or something else as it was what he needed the most. After all, he was broke. And once he left work, he would have no money on him. So he hoped it was going to be money. Just as he was about to click on the rewards panel, he heard a voice bringing him back to his senses. "But why aren't you in your uniform?" Tim, narrowed his brows looking at Ryder. "I..." "You don't have to explain, we have more crucial issues on ground." Tim waved his hands, interrupting Ryder who was about to explain himself. "Everyone, gather around." He ordered, his voice loud enough for everyone to hear. Immediately, the police officers gathered around Tim, wondering what he wanted to say. "There's a robbery going on at Crestwood Bank." Tim announced, his voice low, but serious, causing the expression of the police officers to change the moment they heard this.

Jasmine waved her hands as though it didn't matter. But deep inside, she was feeling complacent, at the same time, she was curious and wanted to know if she hadn't come, would he be able to buy the house. It seemed like this was going to wait till another day. "Ring! Ring!" Jasmine's phone rang just as she was about to reply."Grandfather, you wouldn't believe who I ran into today at the company." Jasmine began, not letting her grandfather, who had called, talk first."Who was that?" Bruce's old voice came from the other end of the phone."It's the policeman, Ryder, who saved us the other day," Jasmine replied, the excitement in her voice evident."Invite him over, I was not able to thank him personally for saving us the last time." Bruce's old voice came, and Jasmine turned to look at Ryder, who was standing just beside her.The phone was on loudspeaker, so Ryder heard w
Punishment
"We....." The sales girls stuttered, sweat covered all their foreheads as they looked at the figure standing right in front of them.Standing right in front of them was Jasmine. The real estate company was one of her family's numerous properties, and she decided that since she was in Orange County, she was going to come have a look. She had gone in with the managers and others, and also she was introduced to the sales girls, so they naturally knew who she was.She was just done with the meeting and was about to head back home when she ran into the sales girl insulting Ryder. This instantly made her furious, after all, Ryder saved her from being sexually assaulted. If it was not for him, she didn't know what would have happened to her. Though she was a spoilt brat, she still had some sense of appreciation and instantly stepped in to defend Ryder."And you." Jasmine finally broke the silence as she turned to look at Joyce, whose eyes were wide open, and it was as though her eyeballs wer
I Would Still Be A Hundred Times More Beautiful
"Huh?"Ryder froze, then turned around to see who it was as he felt that the voice sounded familiar.Turning around, Ryder smiled bitterly the moment he saw who the other party was, his mouth twitching slightly as he stared at her.Wasn't that Joyce, his ex-girlfriend? What the heck was she doing here and what the heck did she mean by trying to catch her attention?Looking closer, he saw Joyce clad in the same attire that the sales girl before was wearing, and instantly, something dawned on him, then he took a look at the brochure once again.Seeing the name, he suddenly realized why she thought he had come to impress her.He had forgotten that Joyce worked as a sales assistant in a real estate company, and that was how she was able to meet many rich scions.Which in the end caused their break up as she felt that he was not going to achieve anything again. After all, his rank in the police was quite low and it would take almost forever for him to be promoted. So she couldn't spend her
Nice Display
Ryder sighed as he stepped out of the station. Tim's words were still echoing in his head, and he still couldn't believe that Tim had such an idea. But then at the same time, he felt as though he was right. Scorpion and his underlings most probably had connections, and it was going to take a bit of work to be able to capture them. But then would they be punished just as Tim had said they would? He was right, at most, it was a life sentence. But if he were to follow Tim's idea, that would mean that he would become a cold-hearted killer, and that was not something that he wanted. He didn't want to become a cold-hearted killer. Not all criminals deserve to die. Some were not into killing, just like the small thugs who would steal bags and stuff.Though some were also deserving of death, like Scorpion and his underlings. All he had to do was just to make sure to draw a clear line and it was going to be fine.Ryder sighed and shook his head, putting the thought to the back of his mind. Th
Tim's World View
(The Next Day)Ryder walked into the station looking deadbeat and tired. The night before, he didn't get home early as he spent his time making sure the children were taken good care of.It was not until midnight he got home. As a result, he slept in and woke up late, resulting in his late coming. At the moment, Ryder had forgotten about his fatigue and just wanted to look for a way to get the higher-ups involved in the case.He didn't want the man to escape unpunished, he wasn't going to let it happen.Looking around the cell, Ryder froze as he couldn't find the man and his minions again. What the heck was happening? Didn't his colleague arrest and bring them back to the station?Where the heck were they? He couldn't understand what was happening."Hey, Ryder. What are you looking for?" Ryder's colleague walked up to him, wondering what the latter was looking for in the cell."Someone was arrested yesterday night, and I'm pretty sure he was brought here, now I can't find him." Ryder
Bet You, Nothing Would Happen To Me
"You bastard, how dare you treat children in such a way!" Ryder roared and rushed into the house without caring about anything."Who the heck are you?" The man narrowed his brows, observing Ryder, who had barged in."Your doom." Ryder sneered and rushed forward, not wanting to waste his time with the man."Beat him up." The man commanded, waving his hands at the two bulky men standing by the side.He had seen Ryder's attire and thus didn't give a damn. He was a little bit amused and wondered how a lowly police officer like Ryder had the guts to break into his den.The two men approached Ryder aggressively, they also looked down on him and thus didn't take him seriously. But at the moment, Ryder was pissed, so he charged directly at the two men, grabbed their incoming fists, using their momentum to pull them to himself; he suddenly released them and gave them an uppercut.Just as though they were hit by a moving truck, they were sent flying."Crash." They hit the table, crashing into i
