All the police officers looked at themselves, wondering why their superior was telling them this.

What were they going to do with the information? They were just a bunch of ordinary police officers who didn't know much.

They were not trained to combat armed criminals and would only be throwing away their lives if they thought of it.

"You don't have to be scared." Tim continued, narrowing his brows, knowing everyone was worried.

"What I'm trying to say is that the SWAT team is on their way and will be in Orange County anytime soon." He announced.

Hearing this, everyone breathed a sigh of relief, but still, they wondered why their superior was telling them all of this.

"We are expected to work together with them so they would be able to nab the criminals,"

"After all, their success also contributes to ours."

Everyone's expression changed upon hearing this, and they nodded, agreeing with Tim.

"Also, we would be given some credits this time as the criminals are already wanted, so it would be a good thing if we could lend a hand," Tim stated, his eyes scrutinizing everyone present.

"You should all get ready; they will be here at any second; we are going to lead them to Crestwood Bank and provide them with the minimum support they might need."

"We don't need your support; after all, you'll be nothing but a hindrance if we allow you to come with us." An arrogant feminine voice sounded at the moment forcing everyone to turn towards the voice.

Walking into the police station was a beautiful young woman dressed in a fitting uniform slightly different from the one worn by Tim and the others.

Besides her was a young man who wore a frown as though it was an attire, his eyes darting around.

"You're here already." Tim hurried forward, face filled with smiles.

"Keep that for later; we need to head to the Crestwood bank right now; we've wasted a lot of time," The woman scoffed, stopping Tim from approaching with just a raise of her hands.

"Officers, let's go. We'll lead the SWAT team to the Bank and provide them with the support they need." Tim's voice turned serious, commanding the others.

"Are you freaking deaf? Didn't you hear what I just said?" The woman sneered, eyes filled with disdain.

"I said we don't need your help. You all are just a bunch of flowers in a greenhouse and know nothing about the battlefield. All we need is for one of you to take us to Crestwood Bank."

"Or do you all think a bunch of fatsos would be of any help?" The lady added, glaring at the group of officers, refusing to mask the disgust in her eyes.

"Selena, there's no need for you to get annoyed over a bunch of trash." The man by the lady's side spoke, his voice calm.

"Justin, I know. But who would take the blame if one of those fatso is to die? Also, they would end up hindering us, and the criminals would escape." Selena scoffed, rolling her eyes at her colleague.

"In the end, the blame would fall on both of us, and you know well what would happen. Or do you want to take any blame because of these trash?"

The police officers' expressions changed upon hearing this, and they were all furious. But deep down, they knew Selena was right.

After all, most of them were out of shape, so what help would they be able to provide?

"What the heck are you all thinking? Do you think the criminals would wait for you all to wallow in your self-pity?" Selena snapped, seeing the officers silent.

"Let me tell you." She huffed, eyes spat daggers at the officers.

"If those criminals were to get away. You would have to take the blame. You would all be arrested for aiding the criminal's escape since you all refused to say anything."

The officers’ expressions changed upon hearing this. Though they wanted to refute it, it was the truth.

"I don't care what you all are feeling. Which one of you fatso is going to take us to the damn bank? We are running out of goddamn time for heaven's sake." Selena cursed, her eyes widened seeing how the officers cowered, refusing to say anything.

"Hurry up and say something, or else you would all take the blame if they were to escape," Justin scowled, his gaze also turning cold.

All of the officers glanced at each other, none dared to step forward. It was not that they were not brave enough, but the two in front of them were arrogant and they were going to lose it all if they wanted to volunteer.

Besides, their lives were precious, and they knew once they went to the place of the robbery, there was a high chance that they were not going to come back.

After all, the SWAT team was not going to take notice of them and since they would be going, they would be forcibly intertwined with the shooting and all others.

If any slight mistake, then they were going to be visiting the god of the Underworld.

They didn't want that as they wanted to live long. Besides, they were accustomed to the normal patrols and rounding of petty criminals and thugs who were disturbing the peace of the society.

So handing armed robbers was not something they knew how to do.

"Are you all going to shut up like turds and refuse to lead us to the bank?!" Selena finally lost it all, breaking the silence.

She was so angry that the veins on her forehead popped out looking like they were about to burst out of her head.

But still, none of the police officers dared to move. Even Tim was covered in sweat, and he could feel his heart pounding against his chest, and it was like it was going to burst out at any time.

"Fine, since you...."

"I'll take you to Crestwood Bank," A low voice cut off Selena, who was about to insult the officers once again.

  • No Law

"Brother, you've got a big house," Jasmine marvelled, staring at the Villa the moment they pulled up right before it."Don't give me that, weren't you the one who gave it to me?" Ryder rolled his eyes at Jasmine alighting from the car with her."I didn't know the house you wanted to buy was this beautiful," Jasmine pouted walking towards the door with Ryder who pulled out his keys and unlocked the door."Home sweet home," Ryder muttered, walking into the Villa with a smile. He wondered how Fiona was doing. He hoped the little girl had just starved herself to death. He knew she might be shy, but he hoped she just got something to eat. He had some foodstuffs, as he had bought them after moving into the house."Arghhhh!"Jasmine's terrified scream came causing Ryder to turn around sharply."Brother, look, there's an intruder!" Jasmine screamed, pointing at Olivia who was sitting at the dining room, eating noddles."She's not an intruder," Ryder chuckled, walking over to Olivia who sat st

  • Not Good

Walking into the seemingly uncompleted building on the surface, the three were taken aback by what they saw inside the building. The building, which looked rather incomplete on the outside, was actually well furnished on the inside. There were a lot of waiting chairs, and about five elevators going down into the underground. At the side was a large table and chair and sitting on it were about five hefty men heavily armed. Ryder, Selena, and Henry frowned slightly seeing this. It seemed like the Brown family really took their business rather seriously. If this set of five men were armed, then what about the rest? They were sure there were other guards around, just in case someone wanted to try something. "Please, your tickets," A feminine voice came, pulling the three out of their thoughts. Looking up, they came face to face with a young lady in high heels and skimpy clothes, chewing gum as she stretched out her hands. Without any delay, Ryder gave the lady his ticket. Selena an

  • Alright, I'll Leave

Everyone watched as the taxi drove along the road, all holding their breaths. The group had already arrived at the store Ryder stated and were checking out its surveillance footage with the help of the staff. Soon, the vehicle drove past the limits of the camera and disappeared. "Esteemed sirs, I don't think there's a security camera down the lane the taxi drove to," The attendant helping the group spoke, looking over at them. "Yeah, I know about that," Ryder nodded. He was very familiar with Orange County and as a police man would parade most of the places. So he knew about almost all the security cameras. "Thanks for your cooperation, we'll leave now," Henry thanked the man and then the group turned around, leaving the store. "What's the next thing we do?" Selena inquired the moment they stepped out of the store. If there were no security Cameras anymore, then the next thing was to find the cab and interrogate whoever was driving it. But that was going to take a wh

  • Get Lost

"Can you pass the phone to Henry?" Ryder requested the instant Selena answered the call. "Sure," Selena agreed, though she was shocked as she didn't understand what was wrong.. "Hello," Came Henry's voice from the other end of the phone. "I'm not sure, but I think I could use your help for something critical," Ryder stated, going straight to the point. He didn't have much time any more. He needed to know what was wrong with Fiona. If she has run off on her own, then it was fine. But if she was abducted, then there was a need to rush. Those men would have done some stuff to her and he wouldn't be able to take it. "What do you need my help for?" Henry frowned slightly, feeling the urgency in Rdyer's voice. "I think someone has been abducted, I need to trace her before it's too late," Ryder revealed, then told Henry what had happened. "If that's the case, we need to hurry up," Henry replied, his tone was also serious. "Meet us at the mall, we'll start right away. This can't be d
