Inside an opulent conference room were gathered men of distinguished caliber. There was a holographic display outlined on the wall facing the group.
Amongst these men was the President. He was stoic and had a solemn face. Around him were his senior officials. Everyone of them seemed to be eagerly awaiting the arrival of someone very important. The door of the conference hall opened eventually as Irwin Buckham walked in, escorted by some refined men dressed in black suits. "Attention!" An order shot amongst the senior officials at the presence of Irwin. All the distinguished men of incredible status saluted Irwin, stomping their feet in a heartfelt honor. The President leading the salute. "We are grateful for your service to this nation, Sir Irwin!" They all chorused. "Your faithful years of service will forever be remembered and honored." Then they eased themselves as Irwin nodded back at them. The President immediately stepped forward with a handshake, "Words cannot describe how grateful we are for your service, Sir Irwin." The President sounded very humble as he addressed him. "That is why we are awarding you with this token of appreciation." The President beckoned. At the beckon, a reputable officer presented a tray of badge to the President. "This badge is the rank of a Five-Star General." The President bestowed it on Irwin. "It fails in rewarding your loyal service to this country for years." Irwin took a glance at the badge and smiled. At last, he has completed his duty and could now live freely. "Thank you, Mr President." Irwin shook hands with the President. "It was an honor." "The honor is ours." The President smiled back. After this, the President signaled the officials and they left. Irwin was left alone with the President. "There is one more mission that I want to entrust to you." The President stated. "Wasn't that the last mission?" Irwin felt cornered in a way. "I promise you, Sir Irwin. This is the last mission." The President assured. "There is no one that can do the job as perfectly as you can." The President was right. Except Irwin, there was no one else in the continent that could seamlessly carry out delicate and top-tier missions. "I want you to investigate a certain person." The President started. "The details of this person can be found in this file." Irwin collected the file and opened it. As he took a glance through its content, his eyes squinted. "And due to the nature of the mission, I hereby grant you the S-class clearance." "S-class? That's the highest clearance." Irwin was surprised. "Doesn't that make me almost equal with you?" "This is to ensure the success of the mission. You can mobilize any resources you want. All is at your disposal." The President added. "Very well, then." Irwin saluted,"I won’t fail my mission!" — He pushed open the door, and a young, beautiful woman had long been waiting inside. "Sign this, Irvin." She pushed some papers towards Irwin Buckham. Her name was Jessica Nolan and she was the personal secretary of the young and rising heiress of the Rolan Group, Isabella Rolan. "What is this?" Irwin asked barely moving. "You are not blind, Irwin. Check it out." Jessica retorted coldly. Checking the papers, he saw that it was a divorce agreement. "Did Isabella send you with this? Where is she?" Irwin asked, surprised and stunned. "Miss Isabella is a very busy woman. Her time shouldn’t be wasted on a nobody like you." Jessica said sharply. "Now sign this and don't drag it out." "If Isabella wants divorce, she should say it to my face, instead of sending you." His gaze was sharp, and his voice firm, “I won’t sign a single word until she arrives.” “Don’t get so worked up. Maybe you should read the agreement first. Ms. Isabella has promised you a $5 million settlement. With that money, you won’t have to lift a finger—you can live your life comfortably,” Jessica advised softly. “So why fight against money?” “Five million? That’s certainly generous, but I don’t need it.” Irwin tore up the agreement and threw it on the floor without even glancing at it. “I’m sticking to what I said—unless she comes herself, I won’t sign a single word!” “You! You’re impossible!” Jessica’s eyes blazed with anger. “Who do you think you are? After following our boss for years, you’ve gotten completely full of yourself? You’re a worthless parasite, a stain on Ms. Isabella!” “Our boss must have been blind to—” Just as Jessica was about to lose her temper completely, a stunningly elegant beauty appeared. Her steps were measured, her presence regal, exuding an untouchable coldness. She was Isabella Rolan, Irwin’s wife. “I’ll handle this,” Isabella said with finality, then sat down in front of Irwin, her expression icy. “As you wished. You may sign now.” In that instant, Irwin’s heart shattered.Latest Chapter
Chapter 280
Hardly had Robert zoomed through the space than he was immediately caught by the shoulder. He was so shocked and stunned that this was happening. He should be embarrassed and devastated that he had been caught and would soon be identified. Instead, he was bewildered. Never in his life has anyone been able to match the speed of his movement. He wasn't using the ordinary man speed. He had tapped into a hidden dimension of the Artic order. This was why his body could ride the wave of the wind in the matter of a moment. Whoever had caught must be someone superior to him. Not even a Grand Mage could catch up with him. He was using a speed a little faster than that of a Grand Mage. Although he wasn't quite a big fan of being called that title, he loved to ridicule their skills and all. This was the origin and sustenance of his bewildered expression. He didn't know when he willingly turned to look at the person. He wanted to accord a kind of respect to the person. Being caught wasn't the
Chapter 279
The solitary figure used the shadow as a cover just as Gamaliel had done in the past. His frame was yielded and safe for his masculine voice, nothing else could be made out of him. "It's him." Jared said, trying to move towards the bed again, seeking a means to hide himself behind Gamaliel. Gamaliel didn't need to seek any further. Judging by the reaction of Jared, whatever this stranger had done to him had something to do with the psychological state of mind of Jared. Gamaliel didn't think this stranger would have ever hit Jared. Jared didn't look like someone who had suffered any visible injury safe for the one caused by the medical condition. Gamaliel recalled the argument of Jared as soon as he stepped in earlier. Jared had claimed that he was never related to the Ferry Twin, having thought that Gamaliel was the stranger who had just intruded them right now. Gamaliel could take the initiative that this stranger was none other than the person that Jared had directed the initia

Chapter 278
Hearing the reply of Jared, Gamaliel could not proceed with the conversation. He held still, still using the darkness as a cover. The statement that Jared had just mentioned was something that he couldn't push aside. "I do not have the secret you are looking for." Jared continued. "I have told you a countless number of times. I know nothing about the Ferry Twin."Gamaliel was further plunged into a mud of shock. At first, it sounded as though Jared was speaking directly to him. Indeed, he had come here for the Ferry Twin. But Jared had added some other information that Gamaliel couldn't quite explain. "Has someone else come to you, Jared?" Gamaliel advanced at once. He didn't need to use the darkness as a cover anymore. He has heard enough. He could have continued in disguise for a moment but he would wearing the old man out. It would be cruel to do such a thing. "Who are you?" Jared turned sharply this time. When he turned, there was a sharp cry of pain that followed the urgent c
Chapter 277
Being the fact that both Revana and Mark had left the main building, Isabella thought it quite unreasonable to be the only one left in a stranger's house. Aside from this, she was quite interested in finding out what Irwin was going to do. But beyond all of this, she still couldn't believe everything that was happening to her at that moment. "You can't go in alone, Great One." Revena said, scared out of her mind.Gamaliel stopped in his tracks for a moment and turned to look at her. When their gaze met, she dropped her head for a moment. It wasn't for the lack of proof or backup response but instead for reverence. "Although it's poison, it's been said that it's contagious. Also, the smell in there is quite..." She trailed off for a moment. She choked on the words. She couldn't bear such words about her own husband, but for the sake of protecting the mental health of Gamaliel, she had no choice. What would happen if there was a situation and everyone in the noble family finds out th
Chapter 276
The opposition and loud cry of the security guard caught the attention of everyone inside the massive living room. But they didn't get the chance to even react before the young man walked into the living room. Everyone jumped to their feet at once. It would seem as though they had all rehearsed the action and were waiting for the right time on track to hit the action. "Great One!""Supreme Commander!""Irwin!"Each of the three called the name by which they knew this young man. Everyone of them knew who he was but they had different knowledge of whom he was. Mark had always seen the Supreme Commander on the TV. On most of the occasions, the Supreme Court never revealed his face. He was either wearing a mask or using something would disguise his true identity. In fact most people have argued that he used to wear a different skin on his face. If it wasn't for the skills and talents of Dora, he wouldn't have been able to see his real face. It was Dora that helped him find his real fac
