"I'm not here to argue, Irwin. So, let's not drag this out." Isabella said, setting the papers down again.

Her facial expression was stern. It was an easy guess that she had made up her mind. Irwin had asked that she come because he wanted to see at least an iota of affection left in her, but this young woman was as icy as an icicle.

She brought out a cheque and scribbled on it for a moment before sliding it towards Irwin.

"That's a five million dollars cheque." Isabella said. "That's enough compensation for being a house husband."

"So, you think this is about money?" Irwin's first words to her were sharp and emotional.

"You don't have to gaslight me, Irwin." She replied coldly. "We are world's apart and you know that."

Her words cut into Irwin's heart like a dagger. He couldn't believe that he has slaved his life away for this woman for three years.

"This marriage has been nothing but a trouble." She continued. "I've never for once benefited anything from you. You have no value to my career path. You only want to clean and do the dishes while I want to climb the world. We don't align in ideologies." She paused.

"I tried to ignore all these for a while but now, I can't help it anymore." There was finality in her tone. "You are now a convict. Not only can you not help my career, but with your current status, you will only drag me down."

She heaved a sigh.

"It is better to part ways than be an inconvenience to each other." She added.

Irwin just couldn't come to stomach everything that she had said. He couldn't believe that the sacrifice that he had done for their marriage was ordinary 'cleaning duties' to her.

It was in that moment that for the first time he saw himself clearly through her eyes. To her, he was a useless janitor. How sad.

Earlier, he had asked to see her because he thought she was mistaking, but right now, he has seen enough. He pulled the papers closer and signed them.

"I don't need your money." He tossed the cheque back at her.

Isabella was surprised that he would refuse such a whooping sum of money.

"Return the pendant I gave to you. That's all I need." He added firmly. "It's my family heirloom and belongs to a family, not someone like you."

His eyes were cold as he stared into hers.

"From now on, we go our separate ways!" After that, he stood up and walked away.

"On my next visit, I'll bring back the pendant." She called at him.

Feeling slightly guilty that Irwin would not take any money from her,

"I am open to any other terms that you may add tomorrow." She added to ease her guilt. After this, she turned and left.

Outside the prison, she saw her secretary waiting by the car as she approached.

"Do you think I'm making the right decision by divorcing Irwin?" Isabella asked, still unable to totally get rid of the guilt.

"Of course, you are." Jessica snapped. "No one in their right mind will want to be associated with a deadbeat like Irwin. You were in fact too generous to keep him for this long. Henceforth, you will be a global phenomenon with no convict dragging you down."

Isabella nodded, finding reassurance in the words of her secretary.

Irwin had stopped in his tracks and watched her back as she walked away. He was still staring as though he could still see her. A bitter smile tugged at his lower lip.

In truth, he was in prison to carry out a secret mission. Bound by orders, he could not tell her the truth. He had thought that after all their years together, she would believe in his character. But clearly, he had overestimated his place in her heart.

Hardly had he taken a few steps when a stunning lady with enchanting features rushed up to him. Although warm and polite, there was an air of curiosity about her..

“It’s great to finally meet you, sir.” She had a warm smile, reaching out her palm.

"Who are you?" Irwin asked, ignoring the gesture.

"I’m here to pick you." The lady replied warmly. “My father sent me.”

She was Bethany Colwill, the only child of the renowned John Colwill, the wild rich eagle, and the subordinate of Irwin. She was also the current CEO of Rathclif Groups.

Her father had only told her that Irwin was an important person, but didn’t go into the details. Upon arrival, she had thought that she would meet an elderly man about the age of her father, but seeing how young Irwin, she was indeed moved.

This made her curiosity about him even more keen. The way her father had talked about him was elevating.

"Who is your father?." Irwin asked sternly, "And you haven’t answered my initial question.”

Seeing that Irwin was truly the person he was said to be, Bethany tightened up. She couldn’t afford to offend a man her father hold in high regard

"My name is Bethany Colwill. CEO of Rathclif." She answered.

"Colwill?" The name rang a note in Irwin's mind. "Do you mean John?"

"Yes, John is my father." She replied, glad that Irwin remembered her father. “And he sent me to come pick you.”

"General, let's chase after him!!!" One of the one-star generals called. "We are going to lose him for good!"Brock Kohn first looked at his neck which had just stopped bleeding from the previous pain. Then his eyes trailed to the dagger on the floor. The silence of his General made the one-star general realize that he had spoken out of turn. "I said this because he had already left the hall, and the string couldn't be longer than ---"The one-star general suddenly choked on his breath, losing both his voice and his balance. He clasped his hand to his neck and felt the dagger sticking deeply into his neck. The only thing he could touch was just the handle of the dagger. The rest of the steel had stolen the way into his neck. He breathed his last as he dropped heavily on the floor. The rest of the soldiers and thugs instantly moved back. Neither of them could dare to make a comment nor take a step forward. It was quite unusual for the General to kill one of the soldiers, instead he

Everyone was watching religiously, waiting for the execution of the technique. All the one-star generals have lost focus in their weapons aimed at the young man. None of them have seen the technique being executed before. They've only heard of it. Watching it happen today will be a wish come true! All gaze was spent on the General as he pulled the string, his eyes shut and one of his legs pushed forward to attain the Dei stance which spreads balance across the core focal points in the body. Some of the generals were counting in their minds as the General increased the tempo of the pull until finally he released all the grit. An anti-climax. Instead of the young man to burst open, crediting the success of the technique, he dropped on his knees. The pull, pressure and force of the string on his body was too immense for him to hold back, which resulted in him dropping on his knees. "Impossible!!!!" Brock exclaimed as his eyes flipped open. After calculating the flow and increasing t

Even if the mysterious young man didn't have Isabella in his arms, dividing a human being into two equal halves with an axe was an impossible thing to do. But in this case, the mysterious young man had a lady in his arms when Thorne had swung the axe at him. How the hell then did he pull that off? This was the actual bone of contention as everyone watched in utter silence. Not even Brock, strong and ruthless, could choise the right reaction to make at the moment. The halves of Thorne had dropped on the stage, his mass filling the entire place while the pool of blood floated the remains. It was a gory and deadly scene. Yet the young man stood there as though nothing had just happened. He stood there like he wasn't the perpetrator of the ghastly and unthinkable event. "Boss!!!!" All the thugs of Thorne rushed towards the scene. The disbelief left them groundless. The twelve one-star generals backed away, watchful of what might be the next move of the mysterious young man. Right now

Tears filled Isabella's eyes when the mysterious man had offered five dollars for her. Five dollars? Did they know whom she was? She was the heiress of the fast growing Rolan Group that was worth hundreds of millions of dollars. How dare this crazy man offer to take her for five dollars? She thought she had seen worse with those pricing in thousand. Five dollars was the worst of it. But something else took her attention away from her misery. It was the strength and arms of the mysterious young man. They felt familiar. But she shook her head. The person whose voice and arms she mistook for this crazy man would never demean a human so low that he would pay five dollars for a human being. She could bet her life on it. "Thorne, what is the matter?" Brock asked, looking at his nephew who had roared the young man to a halt. Thorne Douglas approached the young man who had Isabella in his arms. At first, he thought that he could watch this happen and do nothing about it, but eventually,

"Here is the catch. For this, we bid downwards." Brock added. "What!" Almost all the guests exclaimed at the condition of the auction. When they were doing an auction for Rose Lily, the value had gone up from half a million to a hundred and fifty million dollars. But now, the host is saying that the auction will go downwards? What could this possibly mean? Doesn't this mean that this lady who was being auctioned was worth less than a luxury item?"Uncle." Thorne quickly approached his uncle. He had no idea what the General was doing. He had called the uncle to avenge his father and him over the impotence and lockup. The uncle had agreed that they would abduct Isabella in order to force Irwin out of the hole he's hiding. When his uncle had told him to bring Isabella down to Mei Dang, he had thought perhaps he wasn't hearing right. He saw no reason why she should be brought to such a popular art hall. Due to the massive trust he had in the man, he decided to follow through with the

The hall was bubbling as echoes of claps rained down on the young mysterious man who had willingly splurged almost two hundred million dollars over a classic painting. He would surely make the headlines. "Who do you think he is?" One of the guests asked his neighbor. "I'm not sure. And I don't think he wants us to find out either.""Who knows perhaps he is connected to Rathclif. Only people connected to John can spend so thoughtlessly.""It was a useless purchase." One of the guests chimed in. As though hell has been let loose, the rest of the guests spun around to look at the person who dared to down-talk the most esteemed and anticipated classic painting."The highest anyone should pay for an art is less than ten million. Anything above that is just an overhype." The fellow argued. A couple of the guests had something to say but they couldn't find their words yet. "The Rose Lily is great and beautiful. In fact, I've never seen anything like it in my life, yet that amount is ove
