Desperate preparations

“I still want to blame you for his death. You failed as someone who claimed to love him. Besides, if he did not save you, he would never have gotten entangled with such vicious people.” Annabelle whispered, looking at her resentfully.

“I know, I'm sorry.” Aria whispered, wiping her tears.

“Your tears won't bring him back. Your actions would. Let's move him to the bed and clean him up. So that we can see if the process works. Hurry up, remember we have just twenty four hours to attempt all possible magic and processes to wake him up. So we need to move as fast as possible.” Mo Lan whispered, speaking up from the corner where he sat mixing up the elixirs.

“That's right, please, help me make the bed. Let's try the scriptures he came with and see if it indeed has the power to raise the dead. Can you also get me a bowl of warm water, his soap, a face towel, his towel, stockings and a clean set of clothes? Hurry up.” Annabelle ordered, trying to carry him up to no avail.
