Crescent Clinic had not been this busy in the last five years. News of the young man healing Bu Lastri's son had spread across the entire market, bringing a crowd lining up outside the dilapidated shophouse since dawn.

Yet, amid the hustle, Arkhan sat calmly on his bamboo chair. His face remained pale, but his eyes shone far sharper than yesterday.

He handled each patient swiftly. A single needle tap or a simple herbal recipe cleared ailments they had suffered for years as if scaring them away.

"Remember, no fatty meat for three days," Arkhan told an elderly man newly freed from chronic joint pain.

Just as the old man stepped out, the roar of luxury car engines shattered the quiet of Crescent Alley again. This time, there were even more. Waiting locals scrambled out of the way as three massive black SUVs pulled up right in front of Arkhan’s door.

A young man in a high-end designer suit stepped out of the lead vehicle. He was handsome, but his face twisted in utter disgust at the surrounding filth. He covered his nose with a silk handkerchief.

"Luna, are you serious? You want to bring Grandpa to a dump like this?" he asked loudly, dripping with contempt.

Luna Wijaya stepped out of the second car. Her face looked exhausted, her eyes swollen, yet her determination remained unshakeable.

"Shut up, Danu! You saw it yourself yesterday, didn't you? He's the only one who made Grandpa breathe again when every hospital doctor gave up!"

Danu, Luna's cousin and a director at the Wijaya family enterprise, scoffed.

"Pure luck, Luna. Or maybe Grandpa just passed out. Look at this place! This isn't a clinic; it's a rat's nest. Bringing Grandpa Wijaya here insults our family's dignity!"

Inside, Arkhan caught every word of insult. Yet he sat unbothered, not even turning toward the door. To him, a dog's bark could never disturb a lion's focus.

Luna stepped inside, followed by Danu and several burly bodyguards.

The moment he entered, Danu kicked an empty tin can on the floor.

"Hey, beggar! Where's this so-called miracle doctor?"

Arkhan slowly raised his gaze. He studied Danu for a moment, then shifted his eyes to Luna.

"I told you yesterday, if you want me to cure him, bring him here. But it seems you brought along noisy trash."

"What did you say?!" Danu snapped. He lunged forward, slamming his hand onto Arkhan's desk.

"Do you know who I am? I could buy this trashy shophouse and flatten it to the ground in an hour! How dare you call me trash!"

"Danu, enough!" Luna barked. She turned to Arkhan, her eyes pleading.

"Sir, please forgive my cousin. Grandpa's condition worsened an hour ago. His body turned icy cold, and his pulse became unstable again. Please... help us."

Arkhan rose slowly, completely ignoring Danu, who still glared at him.

"Bring him in. And only you may enter. The rest... wait outside."

"What?! Are you crazy?! I need to make sure you don't pull anything on Grandpa!" Danu shouted.

Arkhan fixed his gaze on Danu as his eyes flashed with a sudden golden glint. Heavy mental pressure crashed over Danu, choking his breath and forcing him back two steps until he hit the doorframe. Danu felt as though an ancient monster had locked eyes with him, ready to swallow him whole.

"I said... wait outside," Arkhan said softly, his voice carrying undeniable authority.

Luna quickly signaled the bodyguards to drag Danu out. Though reluctant, she abided by Arkhan's rules.

Grandpa Wijaya was carried in on a special stretcher and laid onto the examination bed Arkhan had just wiped down.

The old man's condition was indeed critical. Wisps of cold vapor rose from his pores—the second stage of the Soul-Freezing Poison. Two more hours left unchecked, and the blood in his body would turn to ice crystals.

Arkhan opened his needle case. This time, he didn't use a sewing needle. He had used his savings from yesterday's patients to buy seven pure silver needles of far better quality.

"Sir... can Grandpa be saved?" Luna asked, her voice trembling.

"In this world, there is no illness I cannot cure, provided his soul hasn't crossed the gates of hell," Arkhan replied with absolute confidence.

He set to work. His hands moved in a fluid rhythm, as if executing a dance or playing an instrument. He placed the seven needles along vital spots on the old man's spine. With each insertion, Arkhan whispered an ancient chant from the Heavenly Healing Sutra, channeling his soul essence.

Suddenly, Grandpa Wijaya's body shook violently. Thick black smoke billowed from the needle points, filling the room with a pungent, foul odor.

Outside, an enraged Danu peeked through a crack in the door.

"Look at that! He's using dark magic! Luna's being tricked! Grandpa's being tortured!" Danu tried to kick the door open, but an invisible force held it shut tight.

Inside, sweat poured off Arkhan. His face grew paler; his mortal body was reaching its limit. Yet he held on until the last wisp of black smoke drifted out.

BOOM!

A warm pulse of energy erupted from Grandpa Wijaya's body, sweeping across the room and instantly refreshing Luna.

Grandpa Wijaya's eyes snapped open. He took a deep breath and sat upright on the bed.

"So refreshing... where am I?" the old man's voice boomed strong, nothing like a man who had just been on the brink of death.

Luna cried out in joy, hugging him tightly. "Grandpa! You're cured!"

Arkhan took a few shaky steps back. He sat back down on his bamboo chair and let out a soft cough, suppressing the blood in his throat in front of his patient.

"Luna..." Grandpa Wijaya looked at his granddaughter, then turned his gaze to Arkhan. A sharp business veteran, he knew instantly that the young man before him was no ordinary soul.

"Young man... was it you who saved me?"

Arkhan gave a faint nod. "Eighty percent of the poison is cleared. The remaining twenty percent resides deep in your bone marrow. That requires rare herbs to flush out completely."

Grandpa Wijaya smiled broadly. He stepped off the bed with a steady stride, leaving Danu—who had just managed to burst inside—slack-jawed in disbelief.

"G-Grandpa? You can walk?" Danu stammered.

Grandpa Wijaya fixed a cold glare on Danu.

"Danu, I heard all your shouting outside earlier. You dared insult my savior?"

"Grandpa, I... I was just worried..."

"Silence!" Grandpa Wijaya barked. He then dropped to his knees before Arkhan—a sight that would shock all of Metropolis if anyone saw it.

"Young Master, from this day forth, you are the greatest benefactor of the Wijaya family. Whatever you desire—money, power, or the life of your enemy—just say the word, and the Wijaya family will make it happen!"

Arkhan looked down at him with an unreadable expression.

"I only need these ingredients. And one more thing... keep this noisy trash out of my sight." He pointed at Danu.

Luna turned to Danu with a sharp gaze. "Danu, get out right now! Tomorrow morning, your termination letter will be sitting on your desk!"

Danu went limp. He had lost everything in a matter of minutes to his own arrogance.

After Danu was kicked out in disgrace, Grandpa Wijaya glanced at Luna and gave a small nod. Understanding instantly, Luna pulled out a thin black card edged in gold—a limited-edition Black Card owned by only a select few in the nation.

"Mr. Arkhan," Luna stepped forward, offering the card with both hands in supreme respect.

"As our family promised in the media, whoever could offer Grandpa a chance at life would receive a reward of one billion rupiahs."

Arkhan glanced at the card with indifference. In his past world, gold and jewels were worthless colored stones, but here, he knew this tiny card was the key to convenience.

"One billion rupiahs has already been loaded onto this card as an initial token," Luna added softly.

"It also serves as a VVIP access card to all Wijaya family business networks. Whatever you purchase with this card will be covered by our family. Consider it the beginning of our friendship."

Grandpa Wijaya let out a hearty laugh.

"One billion is far too small for my life, Young Master. But I know you are a practical man. Use the money to renovate this place, or find a proper residence. A dragon shouldn't dwell in a worm's nest."

Arkhan took the card, slipping it into his faded shirt pocket without any dramatic flare.

"I will use this money to buy medicinal supplies. As for this place... a dragon remains a dragon, no matter where he sleeps. But I appreciate your gesture."

Luna was mesmerized. Any other man would tremble or bow in deep gratitude receiving such wealth, yet Arkhan accepted it as if it were pocket change to buy crackers.

“Lord Arkhan, please—” Luna’s voice was cut off by a sharp mechanical sound. BANG! A .45-caliber bullet tore through the quiet dawn, aimed directly at Luna’s head. She didn’t even have time to blink. For a brief moment, the world seemed to slow down, and death felt like a cold breeze brushing past her ear. But before the burning projectile could touch a single strand of her hair, a hand moved faster than the human eye could follow. CLING! Metal struck metal. Luna felt a powerful pull on her shoulder. Her petite body collided with Arkhan’s broad, rock-hard chest as he wrapped one arm around her waist and pulled her behind him. His other hand remained raised in front of them. Luna gasped, her heart pounding violently. She looked up and froze. Between Arkhan’s index and middle fingers was the smoking bullet. “L-Lord Arkhan… you caught it?” she whispered in disbelief. Arkhan said nothing. His cold eyes remained fixed on the limousine. He released the bullet, letting it fall

In his hand, the wooden box holding the Blood Dew Flower began to spark with flames."You think your marble-flicking can stop me?" Zarkos spat to the side. He released dark energy from his body, a forbidden breathing technique that swelled the muscles in his arms to twice their size."This flower will turn to ash, just like your life!"Zarkos lunged. That morning, Crescent Alley remained cloaked in thin mist and the distinct stench of the wet market, yet inside shophouse number 44, the atmosphere had transformed entirely. Arkhan stood before a cracked mirror above the sink, staring at his reflection. His hair was black with a faint reddish sheen—a residual trace of ancient energy beginning to fuse with his body's cells. His shirt was threadbare, faded into a yellowish-brown, and his trousers bore several patches at the knees."The world today is a shallow stage," Arkhan muttered in a low baritone. "They will not listen to a sage if he dresses like a beggar."Arkhan reached into his pocket and pulled out an object that starkly contrasted with his surroundings: the Wijaya Family Black Card. Cold, heavy, and trimmed with gold, it symbolized boundless power. To him, it was merely a piece of plastic, but to the outside world, it was the key to the gates of heaven. He stepped outside, locked the creaking wooden door, and walked toward t
