This wasn't Tyson's first experience like this, during his time in prison, he had faced near-death situations several times.

If not for the prisoner's last words or the intervention of the system, he wouldn't suspect that everything happening to him was attempted murder instead of just bad luck.

He sighed deeply. The remnants of his physical discomfort had healed, and he felt much better now.

Tyson rose from the bed and walked into the secret room usually used by 'certain individuals' for their own enjoyment.

The system's voice echoed in his mind.

"Going empty-handed?"

"Yeah," Tyson replied nonchalantly. "I've died once with regrets, this time, I don't want to regret again."

His posture couldn't be changed overnight, still slightly hunched, his face still looking timid.

In front of the special room, several guards stood tall, but Tyson didn't care, he attempted to break through only to be firmly restrained.

"I want to see Big Boss," he said without glancing at them.

One of the guards shoved him.

"Tsk, go at your own risk."

His back hit the wall, but he stood firm, stubbornly insisting, "I want to meet Big Boss, even if it costs me my life."

"This kid, you want a beating, huh?!"

The man struck once, his hand grabbed by a pair of thin, ugly hands. Tyson then kicked his left leg, causing the man to fall and groan in pain.

The commotion was heard even in the bustling room, Big Boss's right-hand man came to assess the situation and report back to Big Boss. After seeking Big Boss's opinion, he returned to bring Tyson inside.

Inside the room, Big Boss raised his hand, and a few out-of-place individuals exited the room, leaving only a select few who were specifically following him.

His sharp eyes stared at Tyson with undisguised mockery, yet there was also admiration.

"Coming to see me at this hour, what do you want?" he asked hoarsely after drinking too much alcohol.

Without beating around the bush, Tyson asked directly, "Why do you want to kill me?"

Hearing his question, Big Boss burst into laughter.

Tyson frowned and said again, "Don't tell me you didn't do it. It's clear... it's clear the prisoner mentioned your name."

"Son, you're very naive," Big Boss sighed. "Haven't you considered the possibility that there are others who want your life badly?"

Tyson fell silent, he truly didn't know who could want his life so desperately. Though he had guesses, it seemed implausible because his death wouldn't benefit them.

But if it was Big Boss, what could his motive be?

Tyson was truly puzzled.

"Seeing you like this, it seems you really don't know anything."

Big Boss placed the wine glass in his hand down and stood up, walking closer to Tyson. He lightly tapped Tyson's cheek twice and said, "It's someone from your family. They're the ones paying people to kill you, even pleading with me."

Tyson remained stunned, lifting his head slightly to glance at Big Boss.

"No... that can't be, why would they do that?"

"You're asking me, then who should I ask? They're your family, you should know what matters most to them."

Tyson bowed his head, he knew none of his family members liked him. They didn't even consider his existence meaningful... well, except for his sister.

But there was no reason for them to kill him because he had nothing. Why would they go so far as to eliminate him?

His mind continued to spin, searching for the truth, reasons, and causes, but he found none.

Meanwhile, in front of him, Big Boss instructed his men, "You must finish it in front of me."

Big Boss was disgusted by the repeated failures of his men over the past few months. So, he wanted to witness Tyson's death firsthand.

"Is that person And- uhuk…?" Tyson felt a dull ache in his stomach.

"It should have been finished tonight."

Big Boss's hoarse voice reverberated, bringing him back to reality. Tyson gritted his teeth hard, feeling the familiar pain he had endured. But this time, he used his hands to occasionally touch their skin and find their weaknesses.

Just as everyone thought he was dying and about to give up, Tyson opened his eyes.

Unlike before, which were dull and foolish, madness glinted deep within his eyes.

He had restrained himself for too long to forget that he had the ruthless blood of the De Leon family. If his own family could plot against him, then why couldn't he?

Tyson laughed as he faced them, even though he suffered great losses himself. He didn't stop. He took them down one by one, leaving Big Boss staring in stunned silence, clearly shocked to see him unleash his madness.

There was laughter from Big Boss's mouth as he said mockingly, "I didn't expect you to not only have great luck but also hide your madness so well."

Tyson paid no attention to what the man said, he only knew one thing—he needed answers.

He charged at Big Boss and demanded, "Who? Who paid them to kill me?"

"I don't know," Big Boss clearly sensed danger, so he explained, "I don't know who that person is, they contacted me through an intermediary."

That intermediary was none other than a group of mafia where Big Boss operated.

The door burst open from outside, and several prison guards arrived, including the warden. They quickly captured Tyson and restrained both of his hands.

"Do you have nine lives? How dare you act like this," the warden complained beside him. He couldn't hassle Big Boss for certain reasons, but Tyson was a different case.

"Take him to solitary confinement and don't let him out until tomorrow morning!"

“My Lovely Family, I’m Back!”“You got an invitation to Lady De Leon’s birthday party, didn’t you?” Tyson asked, his tone serious. He had already prepared all kinds of explanations in case Anna questioned him about anything. More than anyone, he understood how difficult it was to get into an event hosted by the De Leon family. In this city, the De Leons stood at the very top. Countless people tried to curry favor with them, doing whatever they could to attend their gatherings, of course, all for the sake of building connections. None of those people would ever be foolish enough to bring some random stranger along. However, Anna’s reaction was surprisingly calm. She simply nodded and said, “Okay.”Faced with that nonchalant attitude, Tyson felt… unsettled. He studied the girl in front of him carefully.Sensing his gaze, Anna continued, “It’s just a birthday party. Bringing you along isn’t a big deal.”Honestly, her lack of suspicion made Tyson feel a little guilty. After all, he was u

The AgreementThe moment that voice rang out, everyone who heard it showed a look of surprise. After all, ex-convicts always carried a certain air of intimidation to ordinary people.Fortunately, no one seemed to recognize the name the undercover officer had mentioned.“Causing a scene and getting into a fight just days after being released, seems like you missed prison life,” the officer sneered.Tyson glanced at him indifferently and replied with a half-smile that wasn’t really a smile. “If you’d done your job properly, I wouldn’t have had to step in and save a woman from being assaulted.”“Tsk.” The officer clicked his tongue in irritation. He didn’t want to argue further with Tyson. Despite everything, he still had enough sense to know right from wrong, and besides, Tyson’s current status was rather… complicated.Indeed, ever since his release a few days ago, Tyson had been quietly helping the police uncover several hidden plots related to items found in their investigations.Just

Miss Anna MendesAnna Mendes?Muttering the name repeatedly in his mind, Tyson grew more certain that he had never heard of anyone by that name before. So he asked the system, “Who is she? I don’t know her.”[It’s natural that you don’t. Less than two years ago, Anna Mendes had just returned to this country after living in Urdanica since she was ten years old.]Tyson nodded in understanding.[I’ll send you Anna Mendes’s data details. Don’t forget to review them.]“Okay, thanks. I’ll sleep first.”Before the system could respond, Tyson had already closed his eyes and fallen asleep. In his dreams, he saw that this world wasn’t truly made for him , that he had merely been found by the system by coincidence and given a second chance. That, in truth, he had died on that gallows, and not a single member of his family had come to claim his body, so he was buried in some random graveyard. The dream was terrifying enough to wake him drenched in sweat.“Thankfully, it was only a dream,” he mut

The Storm Within the Calm“Mr. Frederick, why do you think I would accept your offer? After all, I’m still in prison.”Kindness without reason , even if the other party offered a condition , was something Tyson could not accept. Not to mention, this was someone who had once wanted him dead, someone connected to his own family, the De Leons.Although Tyson had no intention of keeping his eventual release from this place a secret, that didn’t mean he wanted outsiders to know too early and prepare for it.Indeed, Tyson wasn’t sure what his family would do if they found out he was being aided by the commissioner general and would soon be freed , which meant slipping out of their grasp.Big Boss clearly understood his mindset, so he explained, “I’m just trying my luck. Don’t worry, I have nothing to do with your family.”Tyson merely responded with a mocking smile. “I don’t care whether you’re connected to them or not. But let me make one thing clear , even if the warden’s downfall is rela

Not long after Tyson was sent back to his cell, the warden came to see the commissioner general. At this moment, the commissioner general still hadn’t gotten over his earlier conversation with Tyson. Although he had made a promise, he needed to weigh the pros and cons before taking any action.Coincidentally, the warden arrived right then. The commissioner general looked at him without revealing anything. He only responded to the greeting with indifference.“Commissioner General, how did your conversation with Tyson go? Was what he said true?”Instead of answering directly, the commissioner general replied with a hint of sarcasm, “If it wasn’t, why would I have bothered to see him?”“Ah, right… of course,” the warden replied awkwardly. Not wanting to linger any longer, the commissioner general stood up and walked out. Before leaving, he glanced at the warden with a faint warning and said, “This is classified. Don’t let any outsiders find out. As for Tyson, he’s crucial for the ongoing

A few days later, the Commissioner General of Police finally came to meet Tyson. It seemed that this case was indeed very serious.Tyson smiled satisfactorily, he hadn't taken on the wrong case. The chief warden personally came to fetch him, happiness radiating from his expression. He said to Tyson, "Come on, the Commissioner General has been waiting for you."Tyson followed without saying a word."Remember to mention my name and involve me in it," the chief warden added.Only then did Tyson speak up, "Of course."He wondered how he could not involve this corrupt chief warden. As for how it would end, Tyson could only smirk. No wonder his career ended here, this person was quite foolish. In the closed and secretive room where not even a mosquito dared to enter, the Commissioner General of Police sat upright, awaiting his arrival.Upon seeing Tyson walking behind the chief warden, a slight crack appeared in the Commissioner's composed and stern expression. He certainly doubted the man,
