Chapter 1
“I-I … I didn’t mean to do it … Brother J, please forgive me….”
Tyson knelt until his head hit the cold floor. He was so nervous that he accidentally dropped a glass of wine and spilled it on the man called Brother J.
His hands trembled, and his entire body was weak, but he still begged for forgiveness.
“Tsk, this coward,” someone scolded him. “Who cares if it was an accident or not? You still dirtied Brother J’s clothes!”
After hearing those words, others shouted in agreement, making the atmosphere even denser and hotter.
Although he had no particular background in the outside world, Brother K was the strongest in Prison No. 73. He was greatly feared because of his bad temper, his case, and there were many inmates who loyally served him.
Tyson was no exception, he was very afraid of that big man. During his two years of life in prison, Tyson had experienced so much bullying, which had gotten worse after Brother K came in a year ago.
“Brother J, let us handle this coward,” the same person said obsequiously.
“Whatever,” Brother J’s harsh voice echoed as he glanced at Tyson with a furrowed, annoyed brow, rose from his exclusive chair in that hidden room, and walked away.
Tyson tried to grab the man’s leg and plead, “No, no, Brother J, I … ah!”
Someone stomped on his hand hard, mocking him, and grabbed his collar.
They laughed at the sight of Tyson’s terrified expression, his red eyes, and his trembling body.
"Hey, seeing how cowardly you are, I suspect you didn't end up in prison for attempted murder on a human, but on a sewer rat."
Laughter erupted from the group, followed by a discussion.
“Hey, what should we do to him this time?”
“Why don't we just hang him upside down?”
“Tsk, that's not interesting at all! Think of something else.”
At this moment, Tyson's mind was no longer on what they were talking about. His body was tense and felt cold, a feeling of dread gnawing at him. Flashbacks of days when he endured various kinds of bullying replayed in his head.
Every feeling of pain, shortness of breath, helplessness, all seemed to hit him one by one.
The screeching sound of a chair being dragged was deafening, snapping Tyson back to reality. The chair was placed right under a noose.
A voice filled with malicious intent echoed in his ears, “Stand on the backrest of the chair and hang your head in the noose.”
Tyson’s eyes widened, he tried to say something, “Forgive-”
“Yo, no forgiveness! Just do it, don’t be scared, we won’t actually let you die!”
Tyson felt a pain in his cheek, someone had slapped him hard enough to hurt but not to knock him over.
“Come on, help him!”
After the order from that person, who was Brother J’s right-hand man, two people came and grabbed Tyson’s arms.
Tyson was forced to stand on the edge of the chair’s backrest while his neck hung in the noose.
“... please, please help me ….” His voice was hoarse and full of desperate pleading, but the people there laughed and talked to each other, mocking and insulting him.
Tyson tried to tiptoe, stabilizing his body so the tilted chair wouldn't fall, forcing him to hang fully by the noose.
Even if those people didn’t let him die, it didn’t mean they would save him immediately. He didn't want to feel the suffocation.
After some time, those people grew tired and left, leaving two inmates to keep watch and help Tyson down before morning.
One of the inmates asked his companion to rest and let him watch Tyson alone.
Now it was just the two of them. The inmate stepped closer, a mocking smile on his lips.
“You are the youngest son of the De Leon family, aren’t you?” the inmate asked.
Without waiting for Tyson’s answer, he continued with a sigh of pity, “It’s a shame you couldn’t use your family’s wealth to live a decent life here.”
Tyson looked at the man, struggling. For some reason, he didn’t want to beg this inmate to release him. The other’s expression was strange, his eyes unlike those of an ordinary prisoner.
Seeing him struggle so hard, the inmate instead kicked the chair that was Tyson’s last support. The inmate’s gleeful laughter was terrifying.
“I’m helping you escape this torment,” the inmate said again, as if he were truly offering assistance.
The pain in his neck made his eyes bulge, his breath caught, and his dangling legs kicked. His hands frantically tried to loosen the rope around his neck.
In his fading consciousness, he heard the man’s final words, “If you manage to survive again this time… Big Boss.”
Big Boss...
Tyson felt pain all over his body, as if he were being skinned alive. He knew this was the end of everything, but he felt dissatisfied.
Even in the most desperate moment of his life, he still hoped to die in a dignified manner, in glory instead of disgrace.
He whispered silently, “... please, one more chance.”
His red eyes welled with tears, and in an instant, a bright light enveloped his entire body.

Tyson held his gaze on the woman, but part of his awareness had already turned inward.“System,” he called in his mind, his tone low and controlled, though there was tension he didn’t fully conceal.“Identify her. Last night, there had been nothing he could think of that would dull the frustration gnawing at him.“Get to the point,” he thought sharply. The system seemed to register that.[Answering user queries.][Female subject identification: Anni Mendes.][Relationship: biological twin sister of Anna.]A brief pause followed.[No intimate contact or significant physical activity occurred last night

The Rejected Son’s Road to Retribution Chapter 150
The night swallowed Tyson whole. Glass after glass was emptied in front of him, the bitter liquid going down without pause, as if he were trying to drown out something loud and restless inside his head. The music thumped violently, the laughter of strangers overlapped, the bar lights flickered harshly, but all of it felt distant, as though separated by a thick pane of glass. He drank again. And again. Until the line between consciousness and oblivion began to blur.Even the system’s voice in his head, usually sharp and cold, now sounded strange. Broken, fragmented, like an echo coming from the wrong place, or perhaps nothing more than an illusion.[…warning… mental condition…]Tyson leaned against the bar counter, his breathing heavy. His vision swam. In the midst of that chaos, he sensed someone approaching. A presence that stopped beside him.A faint scent, warm and familiar. With great effort, Tyson lifted his head. The silhouette before him was blurred, but a name slipped from his

The Rejected Son’s Road to Retribution Chapter 149
Martin fell silent for a moment. Strangely, his expression loosened instead. The anger that had flared moments ago did not return. When he finally spoke, his voice was calm, almost flat.“Oh… so you know.”He lifted his gaze to Tyson, studying him with an expression that was hard to read, somewhere between awareness, exhaustion, and bitterness.“So you’re not that clueless after all,” he continued, as if arriving at a realization far too late. “I thought you’d been completely blind all this time.”Tyson didn’t answer. His face remained composed. But the silence alone was enough.Martin stared at him a few seconds longer, then asked, as if testing what little calm remained, “Then you know too, don’t you… that Grandpa transferred all of his shares to you?”There was no immediate reaction. Tyson stayed silent. And yet, that was exactly where Martin got his answer. The corner of his lips lifted—not into a smile, but into a short, hollow laugh. He laughed once, then again, softer each time

Martin froze for a split second, then his anger exploded.“What did you just say?” His voice cracked, his body moving before his mind could catch up.He lunged forward and grabbed Tyson by the collar, yanking him roughly. The fabric went taut between his fingers.“So you’re saying you didn’t come here to take it?” Martin accused sharply, his breath coming fast. “Do you think I’m an idiot?”Since childhood, Martin had been raised with one absolute truth: the De Leon family belonged to him. The company, the name, the power, everything was handed to him not merely as a right, but as an obligation. He was taught to memorize it, protect it, expand it, even sacrifice himself for it. His identity was forged from it.De Leon was not just a family. De Leon was everything. That was why he could never accept Tyson’s existence.Back then, Tyson was a useless shadow—a child who didn’t matter, didn’t contribute, didn’t deserve consideration. And even now, in Martin’s eyes, Tyson was still the same:

Tyson was sitting in his study, his laptop open on the desk, several digital files neatly arranged on the screen. He had just ended a call with one of the local legal consultants handling Ravenhart’s initial registration and licensing in Pueblo. Several names and schedules had been noted; the workflow was beginning to take shape.Everything was proceeding according to plan.Just as he was about to dial the next number, the house phone suddenly rang.Tyson glanced at the small display at the corner of his desk. An internal line.He picked it up.“Hello,” he said briefly.“Good afternoon, Mr. Tyson,” came the voice of a middle-aged man on the other end. It was the residential security center.“Sorry to disturb you. We’ve received an unscheduled visitor.”Tyson leaned back slightly in his chair. The area where he lived was a gated residential complex with a closed security system. Every vehicle and visitor had to be registered in advance. Without the resident’s permission or official not

The Rejected Son’s Road to Retribution Chapter 146
Kaylee let out a small snort, her lips curving into a thin, mocking smile.“Relax,” she said lightly, though her words were sharp. “I’m not so bored with my life that I’d want to steal your seat.”Her tone sounded casual, but her eyes didn’t smile. She folded her arms across her chest, meeting Martin’s gaze without the slightest hint of fear.Their relationship hadn’t always been like this.Once, Martin had been the older brother who always stood in front of her. Every question carried suspicion. As if Kaylee, his own sister, had suddenly become a variable that needed to be watched. At first, Kaylee thought it was exhaustion. Martin barely ever rested. Meeting
