Chapter 1
“I-I … I didn’t mean to do it … Brother J, please forgive me….”
Tyson knelt until his head hit the cold floor. He was so nervous that he accidentally dropped a glass of wine and spilled it on the man called Brother J.
His hands trembled, and his entire body was weak, but he still begged for forgiveness.
“Tsk, this coward,” someone scolded him. “Who cares if it was an accident or not? You still dirtied Brother J’s clothes!”
After hearing those words, others shouted in agreement, making the atmosphere even denser and hotter.
Although he had no particular background in the outside world, Brother K was the strongest in Prison No. 73. He was greatly feared because of his bad temper, his case, and there were many inmates who loyally served him.
Tyson was no exception, he was very afraid of that big man. During his two years of life in prison, Tyson had experienced so much bullying, which had gotten worse after Brother K came in a year ago.
“Brother J, let us handle this coward,” the same person said obsequiously.
“Whatever,” Brother J’s harsh voice echoed as he glanced at Tyson with a furrowed, annoyed brow, rose from his exclusive chair in that hidden room, and walked away.
Tyson tried to grab the man’s leg and plead, “No, no, Brother J, I … ah!”
Someone stomped on his hand hard, mocking him, and grabbed his collar.
They laughed at the sight of Tyson’s terrified expression, his red eyes, and his trembling body.
"Hey, seeing how cowardly you are, I suspect you didn't end up in prison for attempted murder on a human, but on a sewer rat."
Laughter erupted from the group, followed by a discussion.
“Hey, what should we do to him this time?”
“Why don't we just hang him upside down?”
“Tsk, that's not interesting at all! Think of something else.”
At this moment, Tyson's mind was no longer on what they were talking about. His body was tense and felt cold, a feeling of dread gnawing at him. Flashbacks of days when he endured various kinds of bullying replayed in his head.
Every feeling of pain, shortness of breath, helplessness, all seemed to hit him one by one.
The screeching sound of a chair being dragged was deafening, snapping Tyson back to reality. The chair was placed right under a noose.
A voice filled with malicious intent echoed in his ears, “Stand on the backrest of the chair and hang your head in the noose.”
Tyson’s eyes widened, he tried to say something, “Forgive-”
“Yo, no forgiveness! Just do it, don’t be scared, we won’t actually let you die!”
Tyson felt a pain in his cheek, someone had slapped him hard enough to hurt but not to knock him over.
“Come on, help him!”
After the order from that person, who was Brother J’s right-hand man, two people came and grabbed Tyson’s arms.
Tyson was forced to stand on the edge of the chair’s backrest while his neck hung in the noose.
“... please, please help me ….” His voice was hoarse and full of desperate pleading, but the people there laughed and talked to each other, mocking and insulting him.
Tyson tried to tiptoe, stabilizing his body so the tilted chair wouldn't fall, forcing him to hang fully by the noose.
Even if those people didn’t let him die, it didn’t mean they would save him immediately. He didn't want to feel the suffocation.
After some time, those people grew tired and left, leaving two inmates to keep watch and help Tyson down before morning.
One of the inmates asked his companion to rest and let him watch Tyson alone.
Now it was just the two of them. The inmate stepped closer, a mocking smile on his lips.
“You are the youngest son of the De Leon family, aren’t you?” the inmate asked.
Without waiting for Tyson’s answer, he continued with a sigh of pity, “It’s a shame you couldn’t use your family’s wealth to live a decent life here.”
Tyson looked at the man, struggling. For some reason, he didn’t want to beg this inmate to release him. The other’s expression was strange, his eyes unlike those of an ordinary prisoner.
Seeing him struggle so hard, the inmate instead kicked the chair that was Tyson’s last support. The inmate’s gleeful laughter was terrifying.
“I’m helping you escape this torment,” the inmate said again, as if he were truly offering assistance.
The pain in his neck made his eyes bulge, his breath caught, and his dangling legs kicked. His hands frantically tried to loosen the rope around his neck.
In his fading consciousness, he heard the man’s final words, “If you manage to survive again this time… Big Boss.”
Big Boss...
Tyson felt pain all over his body, as if he were being skinned alive. He knew this was the end of everything, but he felt dissatisfied.
Even in the most desperate moment of his life, he still hoped to die in a dignified manner, in glory instead of disgrace.
He whispered silently, “... please, one more chance.”
His red eyes welled with tears, and in an instant, a bright light enveloped his entire body.

The Rejected Son’s Road to Retribution Chapter 90
Valenbourg greeted him with cold, clean air, the kind of cold that didn’t sting, but gently turned breath into thin white mist. The airport lights in the small city were dimmer, quieter than the chaos of his homeland. No cameras turning to search for him, no suspicious whispers from security. Here, Tyson was not a fugitive, not a traitor, not the De Leon heir. He was simply a man with a black suitcase and steady footsteps. The automatic glass doors slid open, and for a moment Tyson paused. Among the clusters of people greeting their families, a woman stood tall holding a small sign with only one name, no surname.TYSON.Her eyes widened slightly when he appeared from the crowd, as if she still couldn’t believe he truly came. Her smile grew slowly, careful, but warm like a single lamp lit in the dark.“I’m glad to see you again,” she said, voice calm, yet unable to hide the tremor of relief beneath it.Tyson walked closer and set his suitcase down. He didn’t embrace her, didn’t touch h

The Rejected Son’s Road to Retribution Chapter 89
The events that followed unfolded exactly as Tyson had predicted from the beginning, calm on the surface, yet chaotic, loud, and mutually destructive beneath it.With precise, patient hands, he seeped into the communication channels between the De Leon and Mendes families, cutting threads, scrambling reports, replacing fragments of truth with something that sounded logical but was designed to mislead. The Mendes family still believed the De Leons were on their side, ready to push harder in cornering Tyson until he could no longer move.Meanwhile, the De Leon family saw the opposite, they believed the Mendes were the ones trying to bury them, using Tyson as a match to ignite the downfall of their corporate reputation. Two great houses walking forward with confident steps, each convinced they had an ally.Neither realizing they were aiming at each other from afar, guns already raised, waiting only for the first trigger to be pulled. One side held onto a false alliance, the other wrapped

The Rejected Son’s Road to Retribution Chapter 88
The interrogation room lights cast a cold reflection over the iron table, dripping like time intentionally slowed. Tyson sat at ease with his arms folded, as if this room were merely a hotel lobby he once owned, not an interrogation chamber with cameras watching him from every angle. The investigator across from him tapped his pen repeatedly, trying to create psychological pressure, but Tyson didn’t flinch.“Don’t play games. You’re involved in the embezzlement case—”Tyson tilted his head slightly, a half-smile tugging at his lips.“Which hasn’t been proven,” he cut in without raising his voice.“So allow me to ask instead… do you have evidence? Or are you detaining me based solely on office rumors and speculation?”The investigator’s pen struck the table harder. Silence. Even the camera seemed to hum like it was holding its breath.Tyson leaned forward, his dark eyes sharp, slicing into the investigator’s.“Funny. You rushed to detain me, yet I don’t see a single valid document laid

The knocking on the door didn’t stop until Tyson opened it. Three uniformed officers entered, while two more waited in the hallway with alert postures. Anna almost stepped forward, but Tyson stopped her with one calm look. He had written the script for this ending long before the knock arrived. They were separated from the start.Anna was taken to a different vehicle, while Tyson entered another with handcuffs glinting under the corridor lights. He neither resisted nor protested.Central Police Headquarters – Interrogation RoomThe officer, a man with a stern, chiselled face, studied Anna for a long moment. He pressed the recorder button and began questioning every detail of her disappearance.“You were gone for nearly a week. The Mendes family reported that you were kidnapped. That Tyson was the perpetrator.”Anna straightened her back, scoffing coldly as she returned the officer’s gaze with visible irritation. The fact that her family fabricated such a story stung, especially after

Red and purple neon lights drifted lazily through the haze of cigarette smoke, reflecting off the expensive crystal chandeliers overhead. The bass from the music vibrated like the heartbeat of the night, making the dance floor pulse in time with its rhythm. In the corner of the VIP room, curtains of velvet drawn shut, guarded by two broad-shouldered security men, a man sat with his legs propped up along the edge of a leather sofa.Leonardo Frederick. He lounged back casually, one hand holding a half-filled glass of whiskey while young women beside him let out soft laughter, clinging to his arms like accessories. His smile was thin, arrogant, dripping with satisfaction.A few days earlier, his uncle, Gio Frederick, had ordered him to break off the engagement with the Mendes family, especially with Anna. Leonardo had simply nodded at the time, indifferent. He had never cared much for Anni, let alone Anna, whom he hadn’t even met in person. The engagement was more of a family transaction

The Rejected Son’s Road to Retribution Chapter 85
Tyson answered the call on the third ring.“Tyson.”Commissioner General Rodriguez’s voice came through the speaker, deep, steady, yet threaded with urgency.“I’ve seen the news. Do you need help? I can pressure the media, or send people to calm things down until everything is clarified.”If a police commissioner of his level stepped in, the matter could go one of two ways, die down or explode even larger. Letting it explode was part of Tyson’s desire, but he didn’t want to drag in people who shouldn’t be pulled into this vortex. He didn’t want debts, because even if he wasn’t a good man, he was not petty.Tyson stared at the blank screen for a moment before answering in a low, steady voice:“No need.”A short silence followed. Rodriguez exhaled, the sound tinged with dissatisfaction.“This boy is being chewed by the public like meat in a grinder,” the Commissioner muttered, likely rubbing his face. “You understand that, right? If this continues, things could flip. They might start wa
