All the cars drove off in that direction.

House of Majesty is a grand estate built in the most exclusive area of Glacia City, an area that is almost unreachable even for the big names of the city.

Roderick wasn't just a great War King; he had also acquired so much wealth that he could afford whatever he wished regardless of how costly they might be.

In a few moments, the cars were already close to the estate. Then, a large mansion was seen from afar, surrounded by lush gardens. Undoubtedly, the estate is a paradise on earth. From the modern architectural style to the ambience was all perfect.

As they drove closer, Roderick was surprised to see, in front of his estate, four elderly men kneeling before expensive cars with their heads bowed.

They all wore expensive suits, and their skin glowing and looking so rich. They all held heavy bowls of gifts in their hands as they bowed.

Roderick's face frowned as he wondered who they were.

The convoy of cars drove past them into the estate while the elderly men remained in the same position.

As soon as the car door was opened, Roderick stepped out. "Who are those people?" he asked sternly.

Paul knew the War King didn't welcome any visitors except those he personally approved. He was surprised at how these people were even able to find out about the War King's abode and arrival.

He quickly bowed respectfully before him. "My lord, they are the heads of the Big Four families of the city. They must have heard that you were on your way here; that was why they brought gifts to celebrate your birthday."

Roderick was silent for a moment. His mind had already escaped it that today was his birthday.

Without thinking about it too long, he ordered, "I'm not in the mood to receive any visitors. Send them away."

Instantly, the order was put into action.

As soon as Roderick's message was delivered to them, they quickly rushed into their cars and drove away. They were extremely afraid that they had offended the War King by visiting his estate uninvited.

Ace Company is at the top of the business world in Glacia City, followed by these Big Four.

These are the York family, the Houston family, the Taylor family, and the White family at the end of the list.

The Big Four had been aware of the War King's presence in Glacia City for a long time. Ever since then, they had been longing to meet him to impress him and secure future protection for themselves and their families.

Due to their strong connections in the city, information reached them that the War King was on his way to his estate. That was why they had hurriedly arrived at his estate to welcome him.

Unfortunately for them, things didn't turn out as they had expected.

Roderick's face remained frowning as he turned and headed into his grand mansion.

Stepping into the grand living room, he was welcomed by the attractive surroundings. The living room has high ceilings with beautiful carvings. The chandeliers hanging from the ceiling make it look even more majestic.

Roderick's gaze fell on a corner in the living room and saw a stunning decoration wishing him a happy birthday, with a birthday cake at the center.

He ignored it and left the living room for a very large and silent room inside the mansion—a memorial room.

As soon as Roderick entered, complicated emotions overwhelmed him, and he fell to his knees immediately.

Before him were four large pictures on the wall. It was a picture of his grandfather, followed by his elder sister, then his father, and next to him was his beautiful mother.

Roderick's mood darkened as the pain of long-term loss resurfaced in his heart.

"I'm sorry, Grandpa." These words slipped out of his mouth through gritted teeth.

"I'm sorry, Papa." He sniffed back the tears that nearly fell from his eyes as the memories flooded into his mind.

"Mama, Katie, I feel ashamed of myself for not being able to avenge your deaths until this present time."

Roderick swallowed. He was doing his best to stay less emotional, but the pain was beyond what he could bear.

"Soon, they shall all pay with their lives. I swear on your deaths!" His words dripped with terror and chaos.

Roderick got to his feet as he was able to suppress his emotions.

He walked closer to the pictures, gazing at the items before each of them. These were the only items he had been able to save on that fateful day.

In front of his grandfather's picture, there was a golden ring with ancestral intricacies in a small box called the dominion ring. The ring is known to possess uncountable abilities that could make the world tremble.

"Grandpa, you have helped many people with your incredible abilities. I promise to ensure your legacy never dies."

Roderick bowed and moved to the item before his sister's picture. It was a fashionable diamond necklace.

He gazed at the beautiful crystal necklace and said, "Katie, you are the most beautiful lady I know. You are not only good-looking, but you also have a pure heart. I wish you were here with me. My life would have been more fulfilling."

Then he moved to his father's picture. The item before him was a gigantic sword with a finely crafted hilt.

"Father, you are a great tycoon and an undefeated warrior, and you will forever be one. The whole city of Nexton mourns you and misses you. I promise not to let your legacy be forgotten."

He moved next to his mother's picture. Before her picture was a well-designed and beautiful crown. "Mother, you are the greatest woman in the world. You're a princess, but you were not blinded by your privilege. Instead, you promoted peace, love, and harmony with your influence. I shall fight to my last breath for your justice."

After Roderick was done, he bowed before all the pictures and left the room.

As soon as he stepped out, he met Paul and Tony waiting for him at the entrance of the memorial room.

They both had their heads bowed as Tony prayed, "May the spirits of the deceased members of the Holmes family be at perfect rest."

"Amen," Paul muttered.

Then, Roderick raised his head and saw an ambiguous look on Tony's face.

"Tell me," he said.

Tony bowed respectfully, "My lord, there is good news."

Roderick asked, "What's that?"

Then, he explained, "I received information that Miss Kate Bolton just arrived in Glacia City."

Roderick was taken aback. "Who is Miss Bolton and how does that have anything to do with me?"

Paul chimed in, "My lord, Miss Bolton is the heiress of the second-biggest family in the whole county. She came from Rivers City to see you."

Roderick stared at him. He wondered if he knew what he was saying. What business could he have with Kate Bolton?

The Bolton family could be the second-biggest family in the county, but he knew no family in Kentland County had one-eighth of the wealth of the Holmes family.

"Me? For what? Tell her I'm not interested," Roderick declined immediately and was about to leave.

"But..." Tony paused as he recognized the War King's frowning face. He had said earlier that he wasn't in the mood to receive any visitors.

It would be absolutely difficult to go against that.

"But what?" Roderick asked hurriedly.

"She is seriously looking for you, the miracle doctor. And she has a calestrus to spare."

Roderick's eyes lit up at the news. Calestrus was one of the nine rare roots he needed to treat Oliver Santos.

Roderick and Tony had been on a search for the rare roots for two years, but all their efforts had been in vain.

"Are you sure about this?" Roderick asked with curiosity.

"Yes, my lord." Tony bowed even more respectfully.

"Alright then, tell her to meet me at Lily Garden by 4 PM."
