Chapter Five

Seeing her son collapsed on the floor, Anita immediately screamed hysterically. "You bastard! How dare you hit my son?"

She rushed toward Desmond and helped him up, her face filled with rage.

"You will pay a terrible price for this! Do you really think you can just walk into my house after three years in prison and behave however you want?"

Marcus remained completely calm, holding his mother securely in his arms.

Anita pointed angrily at him. "Even if you manage to take that old hag away, she won't survive the night! Do you understand that? She will die before tomorrow morning!"

Marcus's eyes turned cold.

Anita sneered when she saw that he still wasn't responding. "Do you even know who my daughter is with right now?"

Marcus said nothing.

"Young Master Donald Lionel!"

Anita's voice was filled with pride. "In this city, the Lionel family controls the largest medical conglomerate. More than eighty percent of all the hospitals belong to them, and almost every top medical specialist works under their influence. Anyone who dares treat your mother would be openly opposing the Lionel family."

She laughed coldly. "Without Donald's permission, not a single hospital in this city will dare admit her. No doctor will dare prescribe her medicine. Even if you carry your mother all the way to a hospital entrance yourself, they will simply leave her to die on the street."

After hearing all this, Marcus showed no fear whatsoever.

Instead, a cold and almost cruel smile slowly formed on his face. It was the kind of smile someone gave when listening to complete idiots.

"You're laughing?" Anita stared at him in disbelief.

Marcus looked at her without saying anything.

His master was not only the greatest martial arts grandmaster alive, but also the most legendary divine physician in existence.

Countless world-renowned medical experts had once followed Master Arthur and studied under him. Even receiving the slightest bit of guidance from the old man was enough to turn an ordinary physician into a revered authority in the medical world.

To those experts, Master Arthur was practically a god. The moment they heard his name, they would bow without hesitation.

Years ago, Master Arthur's left his side, he had given him a special contact number. It was a number used exclusively to command his disciples and trusted associates.

As long as Marcus called it, the person on the other end would obey his orders unconditionally.

Marcus glanced at Anita. "So eighty percent of the hospitals belong to them?"

Anita froze slightly.

"Then what about the remaining twenty percent?"

Her expression changed for a moment before she arrogantly raised her chin. "The remaining twenty percent belongs to places like the Royal Hospital. Those are for real elites, government officials, and top tycoons. Trash like you wouldn't even know where the front entrance is"

Marcus couldn't be bothered listening any further.

He calmly pulled out his phone and dialed the special number. The call connected almost immediately.

On the other end was a world-famous medical authority, someone ordinary people could only ever see on television.

The moment the old man saw the special number, his entire body trembled. That number had not been activated for many years.

Now that it had suddenly appeared on his phone again, he didn't dare show even the slightest disrespect. "Master Marcus..."

His voice trembled with absolute reverence.

Marcus didn't waste any time. "Prepare the Royal Hospital's highest-level VIP ward immediately."

The old man's breathing became tense. "Yes, Master Marcus."

"Mobilize all the top medical specialists and every medical resource available. I want them ready as soon as possible."

"Understood!"

The old man's voice became even more respectful. "We will prepare everything immediately."

Marcus ended the call. He looked down at his mother, who was still weakly resting in his arms. "Don't worry, Mother. You'll be save"

After the call, Anita and Desmond stared at Marcus in shock for a moment before exchanging glances and bursting into laughter.

"Did he think we're fools?" Desmond asked mockingly. "How can someone live a fake life and still be proud of himself?"

Anita sneered and deliberately mimicked Marcus. "Prepare the Royal Hospital's highest-level VIP ward," she said before bursting into another laugh. "Does someone go from prison to living a fake life? This is so amusing."

"He actually expected us to be scared and start trembling," Desmond added mockingly. "Someone who was working just to make ends meet before going to prison. An ex-convict trying to act mighty."

"How can the Royal Hospital admit or even listen to an ex-convict?" Anita added with a sneer.

Marcus ignored them completely. His gaze became darker as his mind suddenly went to his younger sister.

He realized he hadn't seen her since he arrived. "Where's my sister?" he asked.

The room suddenly became silent. Anita and Desmond exchanged a quick glance, and their expressions suddenly became stiff.

"I asked where my sister is." Marcus's voice became colder. "I said, where's Jenny?"

His hoarse voice made both of them flinch for a moment before they quickly regained their composure.

"Why are you asking us about your sister?" Desmond sneered. "That slut didn't even think twice before running after a wealthy man. Your entire family are nothing but gold diggers."

"Maybe he thought that blind girl was useful to us," Anita added coldly. "They're nothing but a useless and ungrateful family."

The moment Marcus heard the word ‘blind’ his expression changed instantly.

A terrifying coldness flashed through his eyes.

He carefully placed his mother on the nearby chair before slowly turning toward Desmond. The atmosphere around him suddenly became frighteningly silent.

Desmond's mocking expression slowly disappeared as Marcus began walking toward him..

He stopped directly in front of him. "Don't mess with me."

Marcus's voice was frighteningly calm. "I'll ask you one more time. Where is my sister?"

Desmond stared at him for a moment despite showing some sign of fear he still managed to compose himself and burst into laughter.

"Your sister?" he sneered. "You just walked out of prison, and the first thing you're doing is acting like some great man. Do you really think anyone here is afraid of you?"

Marcus's expression remained completely unchanged.

Desmond deliberately poked a finger against Marcus's chest. "Three years in prison clearly didn't teach you anything. You're still the same useless man who couldn't protect his own family."

A cold smile slowly appeared on Desmond's face. “Yet you're still standing thinking you could intimidate us"

Anita laughed coldly from behind him. "He's always been like this. Even when he had nothing, he still carried himself like he was someone important. Poor man with ego"

Desmond looked at Marcus with complete disdain. "So tell me, Marcus, what exactly are you going to do? Beat me again? Send me to the hospital? You just got out of prison. Do you really want to go back?"

Marcus remained silent while they throw tantrums.

His eyes slowly became colder.

Desmond continued laughing. "You should be worrying about yourself instead of asking about that useless sister of yours."

That was the moment Marcus finally moved. Without wasting another second, he grabbed Desmond by the throat and lifted him completely off the ground.

The laughter instantly disappeared from Desmond's face. His eyes widened in terror as his feet kicked helplessly in the air.

Marcus's grip was like iron.

Desmond desperately grabbed his wrist, trying to pull himself free, but he couldn't move Marcus's hand even slightly.

"I'll said where's she?." Marcus's voice was cold..

"I... I don't know..." Desmond choked out.

Marcus tightened his grip more.. Desmond's face quickly turned red as he struggled desperately for air. "I... really don't know..."

Anita's expression finally changed, seeing her son hanging helplessly in Marcus's grip made her realize that Marcus didn't seems to be joking..

"Marcus, let him go!"

Marcus didn't even look at her. Anita's voice became more desperate. "Your sister is fine!"

Marcus's eyes immediately shifted toward her without letting go of Desmond. "Then tell me where she is."

Anita swallowed nervously. "She..." She hesitated for a moment before finally speaking. "Genevieve and Donald took her away."

Marcus's expression turned cold. "To where?"

Anita lowered her eyes.. "They delivered her as a gift to the executive in charge of the Wilson Group's investment project!"

Marcus suddenly went completely still. His eyes became terrifyingly cold. "What did you just say?”
