Chapter Four
"Thanks for the offer, but I can handle it on my own," Marcus replied, turning down her request. He had never intended to bother anyone with his family problems again. "But don't worry. I'll come find you and treat you immediately after I'm done," he told her. Sophia shook her head. "I can help. Trust me," she insisted. Marcus simply smiled and shook his head again. Sophia quickly understood that he had made up his mind and knew better than to press the matter further. "Okay. I'll respect your decision," she finally said. Sophia thought about it for a moment and realized that she had other things to attend to. Today was the day the Wilson Group was supposed to finalize its list of investment partners, and as the CEO, she had to be there personally to oversee everything. Meeting Marcus afterward didn't seem like a bad idea. Sophia reached into her purse and pulled out a black card. "This is a VIP card that gives you free access to all properties under the Wilson Group," she explained as she handed it to him. Marcus stared at the card in disbelief. He couldn't believe she was giving him something that represented the highest level of access within the Wilson Group. "Why are you giving me this?" he asked. "Because you're my future husband-to-be, and you should have access to everything under the Wilson Group," Sophia replied. Marcus was about to reject it, but Sophia simply pushed the card into his hand before he could say anything. Then she brought out another private card and handed it to him. "This is my personal card. Make sure you call me, and don't forget to keep your word and come see me later. I'll be waiting for you." She gave him a sweet smile. Marcus nodded. "See you soon," Sophia said before turning around. Even the way she walked away was extraordinary. Her elegant figure moved gracefully as her entire entourage followed behind her. The luxury cars started their engines one after another and slowly pulled away. Sophia lowered the window and gave Marcus one last smile before the convoy disappeared. The moment they left, Marcus didn't waste another second. He immediately stopped a taxi and headed straight to Genevieve's house. When he arrived at the compound, he could hear weak familiar voice coming from the storage room before he even stepped into the main house. "Mother?" Marcus called out. He heard no response. Without waiting, he rushed toward the storage room. The moment he stepped inside, his heart shattered. His mother was lying helplessly on a tattered bed, surrounded by filthy rags and garbage. The entire room was covered in dirt, making it obvious that nobody had cleaned the place in a very long time. Marcus rushed toward her and held her tightly. "Mother, are you okay?" His body trembled when he felt her burning forehead. She was shaking violently from the fever, and her condition was far worse than he had ever imagined. Her legs were covered in severe bedsores, with rotten flesh surrounded by filth, showing that she had not received proper care for days. Marcus's eyes instantly turned red. He had left his mother in good health. How could she have become like this? Meanwhile, inside the living room closest to the storage room, Genevieve's mother, Anita, was leisurely consuming expensive health supplements while Desmond sat nearby playing video games. "That old hag is dirtying this luxurious villa. She disgusts me," Anita said coldly. Desmond smirked without taking his eyes away from the game. "There's no need to take her to the hospital. I can't wait for her to just die on her own. She disgusts me so much." He paused the game and laughed.."I'll throw her body into the street like garbage and let the birds and dogs feed on her." "Even dogs would be too irritated to feed on her body," Anita replied with a cruel laugh. "She's absolutely disgusting." The two of them laughed together. Inside the storage room, Marcus heard every single word. A terrifying killing intent instantly erupted from his body. His eyes turned ice-cold as he looked at his mother lying helplessly on the tattered bed. Marcus's heart tightened painfully as he carefully examined her condition. It wasn't a simple illness..They've allowed her condition to deteriorate this badly. Marcus's fingers slowly tightened. "Who did this to you?"His voice was extremely low. His mother could barely open her eyes. "Marcus..." Her weak voice made his heart ache even more. "Don't speak, Mother. I'm here now." Marcus immediately reached inside his clothing and pulled out a small acupuncture case Master Arthur had given him before he left the prison. He opened it and carefully selected several extremely thin silver needles..This was one of the supreme acupuncture techniques Master Arthur had personally taught him. The technique was so difficult that even some of the world's greatest physicians would struggle to understand it. But to Marcus, it was something he had practiced thousands of times. His fingers moved rapidly, Within seconds, several silver needles had been precisely placed along his mother's major pressure points. Marcus placed two fingers against her wrist and closed his eyes. His expression suddenly became extremely focused. A few seconds later, his mother's unstable breathing gradually became calmer. The terrifying fever began to subside. "Your life is no longer in danger.".His voice carried absolute confidence. He carefully removed the needles and took off his coat. He wrapped it around his mother, making sure her fragile body was completely covered before gently lifting her into his arms. "I'll take you somewhere safe." Marcus had just taken one step toward the door when a furious voice suddenly came from behind him. "Where do you think you're going?" Marcus halted.. Desmond had finally put down his game controller and was standing in the doorway. His eyes traveled from Marcus to the woman in his arms before a mocking smile appeared on his face. "You just got out of prison and you're already causing trouble?" Marcus looked at him coldly. "Move." Desmond laughed. "Move? Do you know how much money we've spent taking care of that old woman for the past three years?" Marcus's eyes became colder. "You call this taking care of her?" Desmond's expression changed slightly, but he quickly recovered. "Don't change the subject. If you want to take her away, you need to pay us compensation." Marcus stared at him for several seconds..Then he slowly handed his mother into his other arm. "You want compensation?" "Of course," Desmond sneered. "You think taking care of someone for three years is free?" Marcus's expression remained completely calm. Then he kicked him, the force of the kick sent Desmond flying across the room. His body slammed violently into the wall. Blood immediately sprayed from his mouth as he collapsed onto the floor, clutching his chest and coughing painfully. Marcus slowly lowered his leg, his eyes were cold enough to make the temperature in the room seem to drop. "You should be grateful I only kicked you, perhaps that should be enough compensation."Latest Chapter

His expression darkened immediately."If you don't crawl out and serve me right now," he said coldly, "I can guarantee your ex-convict brother won't live to see tomorrow."Those words shattered Jenny completely. Chapter EightMarcus arrived outside the Whitaker Clubhouse. The moment he tried to enter, two security guards immediately stepped in front of him and blocked his path. Their eyes traveled over his clothes, and their expressions quickly became filled with disdain."Where do you think you're going?" one of them asked.Marcus simply smirked. "Inside, of course," he replied. He didn't raise his voice despite being in a hurry."And why do you think you belong here?" the other guard asked rudely.Marcus looked at him calmly. "And how did you know I don't belong here?"The guard sneered. "You could never belong in a place like this. Look at what you're wearing. The people allowed inside this clubhouse are business executives and people of extremely important status. You don't fit into any of those categories."Marcus took a deep breath. He wasn't here to argue with a couple of security guards. Without saying another word, he pulled out the Supreme Black Card Sophia had given him earlier."T

Chapter Six"She's at the Whitaker Clubhouse. Let me go!" Desmond screamed.Marcus slowly released him, making sure to control himself. He couldn't believe they had the nerve to take his sister to a club and leave her there. He had initially thought Genevieve divorced him simply because she believed they were no longer on the same level. But after seeing what they had done to his mother and now learning that they had dragged his younger sister into their mess, he realized Genevieve had gone too far.Anita sneered despite the anger on Marcus's face.."You think acting tough will help you just because you spent three years in prison?" she mocked. "There's no way you're going to get your sister back. Someone like you can't even walk through the door of that place without being thrown out."Desmond, despite struggling to breathe properly, still couldn't stop himself from speaking arrogantly."You don't know who the people from the Wilson Group are. They're beyond someone you could ever pro

Chapter FiveSeeing her son collapsed on the floor, Anita immediately screamed hysterically. "You bastard! How dare you hit my son?"She rushed toward Desmond and helped him up, her face filled with rage."You will pay a terrible price for this! Do you really think you can just walk into my house after three years in prison and behave however you want?"Marcus remained completely calm, holding his mother securely in his arms.Anita pointed angrily at him. "Even if you manage to take that old hag away, she won't survive the night! Do you understand that? She will die before tomorrow morning!"Marcus's eyes turned cold.Anita sneered when she saw that he still wasn't responding. "Do you even know who my daughter is with right now?"Marcus said nothing."Young Master Donald Lionel!"Anita's voice was filled with pride. "In this city, the Lionel family controls the largest medical conglomerate. More than eighty percent of all the hospitals belong to them, and almost every top medical spec
