The six-year-old Denver was walking down the street while chewing on dried meat.

Sheryl was keeping her distance from him and traced his footsteps.

Denver got annoyed and asked her. “Why are you following me?”

“I-I don’t want to die. You saved me,” she said, frowning in pain because of her wounds, “so take responsibility for me.”

“Responsibility? What’s that?” Denver snorted. “Can I sell it and buy meat or exchange it with gold?”

Sheryl’s frown deepened. “I’m just seven years old.”

“So? I’m only six.”

Sheryl’s jaw dropped. “Y-You’re just six years old? You’re lying!”

“Lying isn’t in my dictionary!”

“It must be a liar’s dictionary then.”

Denver, annoyed by her, turned around and just kept walking.

“You can take these cherries if you want,” Sheryl said, showing her bag. “I was attacked for this bag just now.”

But Denver didn’t stop let alone look back.

“I was the one who stabbed you,” Sheryl added, stopping Denver in his tracks.
