Denver rushed over to check on Sheryl.

She had a nasty wound on her gut. If not for her defending with aura, there’d have been a big hole in her abdomen now.

Or, in the worst case, her body would have been separated into two halves at the abdomen.

Denver took out a red pellet and put it in her mouth.

He gently electrocuted her throat so that her muscles moved, and she ended up swallowing the pill even though she wasn’t conscious.

“This should help speed up her recovery…” Denver thought.

Three of her limbs seemed to be broken, and there were many other bruises and cuts on her body. He hadn’t seen her like this before.

He removed his shirt and put it on top of her to cover her abdominal wound.

Denver was still wearing a tanktop.

“I-Is she okay?” Catherine nervously arrived there. She had seen blood before, but the way Sheryl crashed down from the ceiling shocked Catherine quite a bit.

She still couldn’t take that picture out of her mind.

“You stay here and guard her,” Denver said and lo

Catherine’s eyes kept moving fast, exercising more so than ever as the fight between Denver and the reptilian was just too fast and ridiculous. Both of them looked like Denver. However, the powers they used were completely different.Denver relied on aura, whereas the reptilian did mimic his lightning ability to an extent, but it relied more on its own abilities. The problem was that it was never running out of abilities to show.Everytime Catherine thought Denver cornered the beast, it used a new ability to get out of Denver’s firing zone.Using its fingers, it crawled on the walls like a lizard would and attacked at angles that weren’t thought were possible.Denver was kept full-busy as his opponent was pushing his reflexes to the max. What irked the reptilian was that Denver was not just able to see in this darkness, but he also seemed to like the challenge. The reptilian stopped at the ceiling and was panting audibly. “Why does it feel like you’re enjoying this fight? Is it becaus

In Hawk Park.On Mount First.Rob just finished sparring with Mickey, but Rob was the only one covered in many bruises. “Heh, I’m not weak when it comes to fighting, but I didn’t expect there to be such a big gap between you and me.”“You’re better than I expected,” Mickey faintly smiled. “As expected of someone who lived through the hellish times with a healing technique.”“Depending on how I use my hands, I can both heal as well as kill,” Rob said. “Of course, after becoming the head of the medicine and pharma halls, I improved a lot in terms of knowledge and experience, so I’m much stronger than I was before I became the fifth ranker.”“Mm…” Mickey looked eastward. “It seems that the worm took them underground.”“Underground?” Rob frowned. “If they go too deep, they will face the shapeshifters.”“You think Denver can make it to the surface?” Mickey asked casually.“I haven’t fought a reptilian, but I’m sure they’re not easy opponents,” Rob said. “However, Denver is a different beas

This creature was lethally fast, so fast Catherine completely lost its movements and its presence.Even though it jumped off the ceiling and plummeted toward her, she had no clue. Its claw-like hands swiped the air as it sought to cut Catherine into many pieces. But a bolt of lightning flew out of nowhere and struck its face.It somersaulted and landed on its feet comfortably. Its face melted half-way, but it glitched on and off.“I-Is it a hologram?” Catherine asked, her face full of anxiety and confusion. “Is that why I can’t feel its presence?”“No, it’s just malfunctioning because of the sudden surge of electricity flowing through its body,” Denver stepped past her, his fist releasing thick red lightning. “That thing’s a reptilian.”The creature before them grinned as its face and body shapeshifted so that it looked exactly like Denver.Catherine’s eyes bulged out very much as even the clothes were replicated. “H-How did it do that?”“It’s just an illusion,” Denver said. “You can’

  • CHAPTER 338

Denver and Catherine thought the worm would head straight over to Hawk Park, but instead, it went into the ocean and drilled its way into the underground of the continent.Denver and Catherine both found themselves in its cave which was full of bones of weird-looking creatures.“Take us to the surface!” Catherine shouted. “Or your boss will kill you!”However, the worm seemed tired, so it quickly curled its body and fell asleep.Denver didn’t have a shirt now, so he looked around the cave to see if he could find any clothes. However, he didn’t find any.“There’s no shirt here that I can use,” he said aloud. “Great.”“Huh?” Catherine was shocked. “You were just looking for a shirt? I thought you were looking for an exit!”“Exit?” Denver looked up. “I think we’re miles deep underground. Much deeper than when we were in the tunnels before.”Catherine frowned. “Is it possible for us to go to the surface quickly without relying on that damn worm?”“With your ability, I think it’s possible,

  • CHAPTER 337

On the ground floor, Catherine was still fighting the augmen and augbeasts.Despite suffering multiple wounds, she did her best to protect herself and Sheryl who was still unconscious. Two augmen used ropes to bind her, but the ropes snapped under the pressure put by her.The bullets they shot also exploded before they even reached her.Nothing they did was working as they wanted.Borg was watching everything through these augmen and augbeasts. And he wasn’t happy.“If I can get my hands on at least Green Fang, then I can make up for the losses I have suffered,” Borg thought. He then used the aubeasts to attack the giant worm, Wyrm, which was still there waiting for its master. The Wyrm, however, absorbed the attacks like they were snacks.Borg had to rely on laser beams. Only then, the worm was discomforted enough to move around. The gaps formed around its body was enough for the water to pour into the inner facility. It didn’t take more than half a minute for the flooding to cover t

  • CHAPTER 336

Denver was stuck in the midst of two monsters that were the grandmasters of aura. When would one be called a grandmaster? The ones who mastered any of the core techniques would be called aura masters.Denver had become a master when he was 11 years of age. By the time he was 14, he mastered multiple arts. The ones who mastered the core techniques and then created their own techniques or improved the existing techniques were considered to be grandmasters. The Second Son Philip, who had created multiple martial arts of his own, was also a grandmaster, but his experience was still lacking compared to Golden Falcon who had lived twice as long.Golden Falcon’s aura was much more refined, and so he was able to resist Elissa’s aura at least for the time being. But their auras clashed inside Denver’s body. His body literally blew off steam as it also shook very much.Minerva’s eyes widened in shock as it seemed like Denver was going through pain worse than she could imagine. His situation see

“How do you want me to punish him?” Elissa asked her daughter without any hesitation.“I was helping your daughter,” Denver stated aloud. “Why do you want to punish me?”Elissa glanced at Golden Falcon who was standing with focus, ready to act if necessary. If Minerva wasn’t around, Elissa wouldn’t have cared and attacked both Golden Falcon and Denver. But now, she had other thoughts.“I’m not sure how I should deal with you, Denver,” Elissa said. “You harmed my daughter but also helped her. With your ‘blood lightning’ ability, your ceiling may be high enough to rule Hawkers. You only bow to the king and not anyone else. I like that arrogant yet humble quality of yours. If it’s you, then you are somewhat qualified to marry my daughter.”“HUH?”Both Denver and Minerva were shell-shocked by it.Golden Falcon didn’t seem to dislike the idea so much. (Ho… I wasn’t expecting her to say that, but she’s a weasel, so her words can’t be trusted. She could just be trying to make Denver let his

  • CHAPTER 334

On the ground floor.Catherine had used her system to put pressure on the dozens of augmen and augbeasts. Some were stuck to the floor, walls, and the ceiling. However, as seconds passed, Catherine’s strength was weakening. This allowed the stronger opponents to break free from the pressure and attack her. Some attacked her from the front and some others from behind.Catherine remembered the time she fought the rat in the caves.Back then, Denver told her to feel the animal’s presence, which would allow her to retaliate even in the darkness.“If a car doesn’t have the rear-view mirrors, we can’t see the blindspots,” Denver said. “Aura also helps us like rear-view mirrors. But you can feel everything around you even with your eyes closed. With aura, you can eliminate all of your blindspots.”Thinking back on Denver’s words, Catherine closed her eyes and fought the augmen and augbeasts. She got punched and kicked in the process, but she didn’t lose her concentration. But suddenly, the a

The moment Denver moved the knife from Minerva’s throat, both Elissa and Borg moved forthwith.Elissa threw a straight punch at Denver, forcing him to defend himself. He thrust his knife at her fist. The knife shattered to pieces and Elissa’s fist struck Denver’s hand.Golden Falcon grabbed Elissa’s hair from behind and stopped her. Nevertheless, Denver got blown off his feet.Borg, on the other hand, didn’t go after Denver but pulled Minerva to his side and grinned.Elissa frowned, not liking the face Borg made. “Let go of her, Borg.”“I’m not going to harm her, but…” Borg released a needle from his finger and injected Minerva.“What are you doing to her?” Golden Falcon roared. If Golden Falcon hadn’t stopped Elissa, then Denver’s entire right arm would have shattered.“I’m just putting some insurance in her,” Borg said. “Now if any of Hawkers recklessly attack me, then the first one to die will be Minerva. No, she will experience something worse than death.”His words made Minerva c
