Chapter 65 "Not in the Same League"

Gaston checked his phone. But there was no text from someone he expected to see here.

“Is he really not coming?”

Chairman Harold was invited to the party. But he couldn’t attend because he had to go to New York and attend a meeting. However, there was one more person who Gaston waited for.

It is his business partner, Griffti.

“He’s serious when he said that he would not come,” Gaston murmured then looked back at his partner, Jillian.

She looked so tired. Well, they walked around the party and met a lot of people.

They all asked the same question; ‘Is she your girlfriend?’

It was tiring to deny their relationship and receive flattering words at the same time.

“Are you fine?” Gaston asked Jillian.

“Me? Oh sure. I am. Just a bit awkward. Attending parties like this isn’t my forte.”

Gaston chuckled.

“Ahhh, I saw Jurgen before somewhere. But now he’s gone,” Jillian said.

Gaston narrowed his eyes to her. “You said you don’t like him?”

“It’s not like that! Hey.”
