The thought of having absolute control over such a place left him in awe.
May be he should have asked his father for one year not a month.
Zillow Jade was a Fourty -eight storey building which other medium sized enterprises are partnering with them and setting up their branch in their complex.
The waterfall at the entrance enticed Spence that he was tempted to drop by and take a snapshot.
To his joy and relief his blabber mouth boss Taylor Stone didn't show up with them.
About twenty of them himself included marched into the company all dressed in a blue custom made shirt with VV customer service engraved on it.
They were led by a security personnel to a corner on the ground floor which will be where they take customer service and complaints.
Seeing many smartly dressed permanent staffs of Zillow Jade, his companion Gale was almost drooling.
" Oh! My dream is to use one of those tags one-day" Gale said facing Spence and stretching forward his hands towards two ladies walking up towards the elevator by the west wing.
" Do they earn that well?" Spence asked cluelessly
Gale looked at him with amusing expression
" Dude! You seem really clueless for your cute face" Gale said teasingly
Spence smiled uncomfortably,he was used to people commending his looks but pitying his wretchedness.
" I am Gale Hart" the lanky man said stretching out his hand
" Spence Wellington" Spence reciprocated by shaking his outstretched hand
" You look handsome, your name sounds rich and you seem eloquent with your voice, you will be very famous with the ladies in no time" Gale said as a matter of fact
Spence didn't know how to respond to the compliment, he wasn't even sure he cared about his looks at the moment
" Thank you,how long have you been working for VV?" Spence asked changing the subject
" About four months I think " Gale said playfully
Spence was about to ask more questions when their supervisor turned to him
" I know you are new here,I will pair you with someone for the week,watch how others handle it first" the supervisor said
" Let me put him through ma'am " Gale volunteered joyfully
" Okay Mr Hart" the supervisor said and walked away
Spence smiled pleasantly,he knew he had just made a friend
" Dude,you are going to be my magnet today" Gale said excitedly
" Magnet?" Spence questioned as he was confused
" The ladies will swarm us like bees,they love cute face " Gale said playfully
Spence was about to tell him he wasn't looking bad either but he knew it would just be a flattery
Gale Hart didn't have the good looks but he at least maintained his lanky body which his girlfriend finds attractive.
" I met my girlfriend here three months ago" Gale said happily blushing furiously
"Good for you man" Spence said
" What about yours? I am sure you have a lot of girls dying over you" Gale asked curiously
"Lol....I got in a messy divorce recently " Spence said swallowing bitterly
" Dude! You were married! You strike me as a playboy " Gale said bluntly
Spence just kept smiling,Gale seem to be a free thinker, he kinda of like him already
" Why would she loose a diamond like you?" Gale asked curiously
" She jilted me for my boss, got pregnant,got engaged,I got fired,end of story" Spence said hastily
" Oh! Sorry about that dude" Gale said patting his shoulder
"Thank you " Spence said pleasantly
" Was she----" Gale started but was cut off by an approaching customer
" Good morning" a caramel skinned lady said facing Spence
" Good morning ma'am" Gale and Spence chorused
" I would like to lodge a complain about the hair shampoo I bought few weeks ago " the lady said softly trying hard to sound seductively appealing to Spence
" Meet one of those two customer services at the last end over there ma'am,they handle that" Gale said politely
" Are you new here? I haven't seen you before " the lady said addressing Spence ignoring Gale's directive
" I- I just resume w-work here today" Spence stuttered feeling uncomfortable by her intent stare
" I thought as much, you look handsome by the way" the lady said bluntly making Spence blush embarrassed
"T-thank you ma'am" Spence responded softly
" I will be off then, hope to see you again charming prince " the lady whispered which only Spence and Gale could hear,she left as Gale had directed her completely ignoring him
" Told you the girls will be swarming around you dude" Gale said mockingly
" She gave me goosebumps " Spence said and they both laughed wholeheartedly.
Before their lunch hours, both Gale and Spence were already exhausted, as Gale had proclaimed, ladies were swarming around them just to have Spence talk to them
He felt comfortable only because Gale doesn't look like a jealous type so that rather made jokes about it all
To his amazement the restaurant cafeteria chef gave him extra plate of food just for being goodlooking which he shared with nonchalant Gale.
The special treatment wasn't new to him, he had always gotten an ounce of it at Golden Fingers too
The same reason why the backlash of his wife 's betrayal seem to be known by almost everyone over there.
"The charming contract guy" was the topic of the gossip because he was a well known face.
" Can't we move beyond the first floor?" Spence asked Gale while munching on his sausage
" Dude! don't you get it,we are bottom feeders,we would need special authorization to walk into that elevator or climb the stairs" Gale said and Spence nodded in understanding.
" I heard the heir Ryan has returned,the stand in will soon step down" a blonde haired girl whispered to her friends
" I even heard a rumour that she is dying" another said
" Well for me I feel indifferent, I don't like her overall personality,it rubs me the wrong way but her policies favours the company and staffs,she has other's interst at heart " an African American lady said
" I agree with you " a petite brunette interjected.
Spence listened with rapt attention, he had figured out something
The best place in Zillow Jade to get your fill of gossips is in the cafeteria .
