Kelly's vision became blurry after he saw this. It didn't seem like this was any form of acting, Mr. Hart was genuinely frightened.

Kelly gulped with his heart ever throbbing on his chest. He was in a whole lot of trouble.

He brought out his cell phone from his pockets and looked at his time. It was thirty seconds past the time that he had given.

"Look at what your subordinate did to my friends and you still dare to come late?" Clinton was furious.

"I'm very sorry, young master. I didn't intend to. Please temper justice with Mercy." He said.

Without saying a word, one of the guards quickly ran to the boy who was on the floor and felt his temperature.

"Master, he is running cold. I think that we have to take him to the hospital as soon as possible." He announced.

The words seemed to calm Clinton down and he was more worried about their safety than any other things.

"Mr. Hart. I can't afford to lose any of them." Clinton said.

"Yes, young master. I would die instead in their place."

Clinton could see that he could not stand and he nodded his head. With his own hands, Mr. Hart took the child off before placing him into the car.

After everything that had happened, Sandra could no longer hold it anymore and she soon passed out right in the hands of the guards, Clinton on the other hand decided to join them.

Before leaving for the hospital that day, Mr. Hart stared right into the eyes of Kelly with so much disdain and he shivered right on the spot.

"Tell your parents to prepare any statement of ownership that they have with them to my office tomorrow or I am going to wipe out every single one of you." She sneered before walking away.

Kelly gulped still in a gaze. The throbbing of his heart in his chest at the moment increased even more and he gulped.

How was he going to deliver such news to his parents? He fell right to the floor and the rain that dripped from the sky drained his tears.

His family had spent all the years of their lives trying to build a good relationship with this person. They were just his workers in the first place but they had earned fortunes..

But all because of him, it was all gone. The hard work that they had built over the years all gone in a few seconds. More tears ran down his cheeks.

"What have I done?" He said not caring the moment people were stunned to see the Almighty heir of the Swindon family business group acting so weak at the moment.

....

"Sir Clinton." A voice rang in Clinton's head.

He had almost fallen asleep. After making sure that Clare and her brother were properly treated, he retired to his seat, his gaze still on them and he didn't even remember when he had slipped off into a sleep.

He opened his eyes to meet with the gaze of Mr. Hart who quickly jerked back in his steps seeing that his young master was Joe fully awake.

He had already gotten him angry once and it would be a death wish for him if such a thing dared to occur again.

"You seemed uncomfortable here so I booked a reservation." There was an awkward smile on his face.

"Oh. Thanks but you should not have gone through the stress Mr. Hart. I am sorry for earlier too. It wasn't your fault that someone under your wing was acting in such a manner." He said.

Hart was stunned that the young billionaire was apologizing to him but didn't dare to say anything.

"If you could get me a ride to my hostel, I would be more than happy," Clinton revealed.

Hart was stunned after hearing this awkward request. If Clinton had even requested that he be given all his car, he was willing to hand it over. He was more like the owner of all of these properties in the first place.

"I would be more than glad to give you a lift." Said to him.

Clinton stared at Lisa and her brother at the private room. She had already been cleaned up and placed into a better pair of clothes..

His heart jumped seeing her cute face at the moment and for the first time, he noticed what beautiful lady he had been keeping by his side all these while.

"You should be doing this." Clinton quickly pushed his red face away from her, hoping that Mr. Hart had not seen all of that..

"Take care of them." He said with a really soft voice.

"I make sure that they get the best treatment." He said with a bow..

He had already gotten his young master angry once and he was not going to allow that to repeat itself again.

With that, Clinton was led off to the car and was taken to his hostel. He was conscious and even though it was a thick night, his roommates were not at least. They were only pretending to.

Clinton lay on his bed like he didn't notice all of that. He could hear the sigh from almost every one of them. They were truly sorry for him after what had happened earlier but he was way past that already.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the other part of the city, there was someone who kept on pacing in the room. Jake Anderson, Present of the Cooper's family and the most powerful families in the city.

During the time that Mr. Hart had received a strange call, he was there and wanted to strike a business deal with him.

However, Hart didn't even spare him the slightest glance after he had received this call only to find out that it was all because of a student in Hawkins.

Someone powerful enough to move the Almighty Mr. Hart whom he saw as his savior like he was just nothing but a baby.

'I have to get this man no matter what I have to do. It's the solution to all our problems.'

"Dad, you sent it to me." A voice from behind suddenly interrupted the train of his thoughts.

He turned around as his gaze was now fixed on his beautiful daughter, Evelyn in a white dress.

She was the bloom of a new flower and every guy would want her for themselves. However, Evelyn had always chased away every single one of them, they were never her type.

"Yes. I called. I want you to become a tutor at Hawkins Special University." He said.

Evelyn was stunned after he heard these words. She just graduated and was supposed to be working by his side and the heir of their family yet he wanted her to become some sort of teacher in a law that she would never have accepted to be a student. Was life suddenly playing a joke on her?

"Don't worry. I will make sure that no one knows about your identity." He said.

Mr. Cooper went ahead to explain to her everything that he had witnessed. Their family was currently number ten in the city.

But wire the way that the market was going, it was only a matter of time before they eventually fell to the bottom of the ladder.

For this reason, they needed someone who was going to help them raise their company beyond reach.

Mr. Hart was the only person that he could think of that he would be able to reach out to in the first instance.

But that was until he encountered this person that he didn't even know their name.

"Dad, are you showing me about this!" Evelyn still had her uncertainty.

"Yeah, I am sure that you will at least be married before this year's end to a powerful husband." He responded.

After the Qingming Festival, a continuous drizzle turned the streets and alleys of Qingzhou into muddy quagmires.Having spent these days traveling outside, Xiao Ming was thoroughly fed up with trudging through ankle-deep mud. He thought to himself that if they could hold Cangzhou, he would definitely build several cement roads crisscrossing Qingzhou upon his return, while also revamping the city’s drainage system. After all, infrastructure was one of the essential projects for developing his fiefdom. Moreover, creating a superior living environment could attract merchants from across the Great Yu Empire to settle in Qingzhou.By then, selling land—ah, the legendary land finance—would become a reality.Rainy days were inevitably dull. With the Armaments Department having completed Luo Xin’s plate armor, Xiao Ming summoned him over, intending to ask him a few things while he was at it.“Your Highness, the plate armor is ready so soon?”This set of armor was naturally meant to placate L

The tea on the table exuded a faint fragrance, and the room was silent.Luo Quan stared at Fei Ji for a long time before speaking. “With His Majesty’s wisdom, how could he not see the current state of the empire? If so, why not send the imperial guards to Qingzhou?”“General Luo, if it were that simple, His Majesty wouldn’t be so furious. The King of Zhao wants nothing more than to divert disaster eastward. If the imperial guards mobilize, the barbarians will surely attack the fiefdoms of the Kings of Yong, Zhao, and Liang to contain them. Do you think they would agree? If His Majesty insists and provokes the barbarians, those kings need only deliberately let the barbarians through to threaten Chang’an directly. Thus, the imperial guards cannot move. The best outcome now is for the King of Wei to assist the Prince of Qi in holding Qingzhou. After all, the King of Wei is powerful among the vassal kings. If he commits fully, defending Cangzhou shouldn’t be a problem.”“But the King of W

Chang’an City, Qiushan District. This was a well-known commoner district in Chang’an, for it was home to the illustrious Fei family—renowned for producing “three dukes in four generations,” with disciples and former subordinates spread across the empire. On any given day, the Fei residence bustled with visitors—high-ranking officials, scholars, and even military generals. The reason was simple: the Fei family’s prestige was unparalleled. Unlike other powerful clans that dominated regions, the Fei family had maintained an unbroken presence in the imperial court through multiple dynasties, their cultural heritage far surpassing ordinary noble houses. As a result, the noble families of the Great Yu Empire considered it an honor to marry a Fei daughter. Such a union elevated their status, allowing their descendants to hold their heads higher in official circles. In a realm where aristocratic influence ran deep, bloodlines mattered immensely. A cool breeze rustled through the treetops.Luo Xin glanced at Lu Fei, who showed no reaction to the poem he had just recited. Luo Xin sighed inwardly. Born into a military family for generations, yet I’m no match for a man of humble origins, he thought with some bitterness.Lu Fei, on the other hand, was confused by Luo Xin’s intense gaze. He had only understood the general meaning of the poem and hadn’t felt the same deep emotion as Luo Xin.“You’re not leaving?” Xiao Ming asked with a smile. These days, he’d been training military scribes to boost morale in the army and found himself speaking more like a political instructor than a prince.“I only wish to be a general defending the borders,” Luo Xin said seriously. “But as for Captain Lu, I can’t forgive him.”Lu Fei rolled his eyes.Luo Xin added, “Unless Your Highness gives me a full set of plate armor so I can fight him fairly.”Xiao Ming sighed in frustration. So the two of you want to settle your grudge, and I’m the one who ha
