Meanwhile, a black SUV pulled up at the Rhoades mansion, and three hefty guys dressed in black got out and headed to the building.

These were the guys Chris had texted earlier, and they belonged to the most dangerous gang in Hamsville.

Bang! Bang!! Bang!!! They knocked heavily on the door without bothering to use the doorbell.

Chris got up to welcome them and shook hands with them.

"Where is he?" One of them who seemed like their leader asked Chris.

“Over there!” Chris replied, pointing at Jack on the floor.

"Get up!" One of them yelled at Jack, delivering a hard kick to Jack's ribs.

Jack hesitated to stand up, but the men in black quickly bundled and carried him out of the living room, and loaded him into their SUV.

In a split second, the black SUV drove off into the night.

When they got far off, they alighted from the SUV and began walking towards a secluded area.

"Strangle him already!" one of them said.

"Please, I'm innocent… please don't kill me… please," Jack cried out.

"Shut the fuck up, or I'll make it a slow death," the guy threatened without showing any sign of regret.

Finally, they reached a quiet spot, "Any last words?" they asked, but Jack was too shocked to speak.

Suddenly, the roar of a Powerbike approached them at full speed, its bright headlight shining on them. They paused and thought it will drive pass, but it stopped right in their front, making a sharp C curve.

"No last words. Move away from him," the rider, a woman, said while revving the bike.

VROOM! VROOM!! VROOM!!!

The three guys were shocked, wondering who she was and how she knew about their plan.

Quickly, they pulled out their guns and shot at her, but she dodged like a pro, swerving the bike and kicking up dust.

The air became hazy as dust filled the air.

"Cough! Cough!" They coughed in panic.

"Hop on if you want to save yourself!" she told Jack and offering her hand.

Jack grabbed her hand, and they sped away with gunshots firing behind them.

——————————

They drove through the city, and Jack didn't even bother to ask her where she was taking him. Perhaps for safety. He doesn't care where, as long as she drives him far from the Rhoades and the hired killers who tried to kill him.

She turned towards Reynolds Villa, a fancy automated estate in the middle of Hamsville.

When they got there, the gate opened by itself, and they went inside.

Reynolds Villa! Jack was amazed. He couldn't believe he was at the famous Reynolds Villa.

He admired the beautiful buildings. It was the most stunning place he had ever seen. The villa is enormous, like a whole town with hundreds of mansions and thousands of rooms.

The Reynolds family is the richest globally, with over a hundred trillion dollars in total wealth.

Harry Reynolds is the patriarch of the Reynolds family. Despite his huge wealth, he likes to keep things private. He owns many businesses, but don't show off.

Jack had lots of questions but didn't know how to ask them.

She stopped the bike at the garage of one of the mansions called the Reynolds HQ, and they both alighted.

"Follow me," she said and began walking towards the mansion.

"Follow you? Why?" Jack questioned.

She didn't respond. Instead, she kept walking towards the mansion.

"Who are you, and how did you know I was in trouble?" Jack asked while running up and following behind her.

"You ask a lot of questions, Mr. Reynolds," she said and kept walking.

'Mr. Reynolds?!' Jack stopped immediately, realizing that this was the same lady who had been calling him since last week.

"You!" Jack said in a harsh tone and halted. "You're the person who has been calling me since last week."

"Yes," she turned and said, folding her hands across her chest.

"You made me lose my phone!" Jack yelled at her while pointing an accusatory finger at her. "How do you expect me to follow you?"

"I'm sorry about that, but you need to come with me," she replied, stepping closer to Jack.

"No, not until I know why I'm following you," Jack retorted and turned to walk away from her.

"Because your presence is worth more than a trillion dollars, Mr. Reynolds."

Jack rolled his eyes, not believing what she just said. Worth more than a trillion dollars as in?

He turned and faced her, putting both his hands in his pocket. "Wait wait wait, let me get this straight. Do you want my service for a job or something? Why don't you just say it and stop beating around the bush."

A new job was all he could think of. Maybe working for the Reynolds could fetch him a good amount of money, and he could finally start life all over again without the Rhoades.

"Is it a job that you want, Mr. Reynolds?" she asked.

"Yes," Jack replied, going back to meet her hurriedly. "For the last time, I'm Jack Turner, not a Reynold."

"Come with me, then," she replied, gesturing with her hands for Jack to follow her, and he did.

The door to the mansion opened automatically with an AI saying 'Welcome.' to them

Inside, Jack was amazed by how computerized the place looked.

They passed by well-dressed servants, they greeted Jack with respect, and he nervously greeted them back. It surprised him because he's never been treated this way.

Jack Wondered what kind of job the lady needed him for, and started asking questions.

"So, what kind of jobs are you offering me? You know I can clean, cook, wash, drive, read, write," he listed, clicking his fingers on another but she didn't respond.

They got into an elevator, when the doors opened, there was a corridor leading to a spacious room upstairs.

In the room, a man lay on the large bed, looking severely sick. Jack began to wonder if his job was to take care of the man and clean him up whenever he poops or urinates on himself. "Well, I'm up for whatever as long as it fetches me money." he said to her.

"Please sit, sir," the girl said to him.

When he was seated, the girl turned to the old man on the bed. "Hello, Sir! Your son is here." She bowed and walked out of the room.
