Chapter 33

The knock on the door was persistent and Greg who had ignored it earlier because it was coming from Jane was finally forced to speak.

"Who's there?" Greg called out amidst the interruptions, his voice echoing through the office and through the glass door at the entrance of his office.

"Maybe he ran away from the security men" Jose joked and everyone in the room laughed but suddenly, the office door swung open with a swift motion, and Miss Jane, Greg's secretary, rushed in, her face so pale as if she just saw a ghost.

Tiny beads of perspiration adorned her forehead as she panted heavily, struggling to catch her breath.

This sent everyone in the room on alert.

"Did armed robbers break into the office?" Greg thought his mind was racing and his heartbeat increased.

Then it should have been the security men running in the office to protect and not Jane.

He had always known Jane to be this dramatic person that is good at exaggerating situations.

Maybe the news she wanted to relay wasn
