Edward was shot.

"Damn..."

He staggered forward a few more steps and finally fell on the main street.

At that moment, a stretch Lincoln with a imperial capital license plate came to a steady stop in front of Edward.

The window rolled down slowly, revealing a black-haired girl with delicate features and noble temperament, frowning as she looked at Edward lying on the ground.

"Miss, this man has been shot, there’s danger nearby!" The driver reminded.

After pondering for a few seconds, Jessica waved her hand and instructed her bodyguards beside her, "Take him in!"

"Yes, Miss!"

Several bodyguards quickly got out of the car and carried Edward inside.

Watching the man before her who seemed fragile, Jessica's brows furrowed even tighter.

Upon entering New Angelia City, she felt the crystal necklace given to her by her grandfather getting hotter and hotter in her chest, especially when near this unconscious man.

With a wave of his hand, Edward's body flew towards him uncontrollably.

Hearing this, Edward's heart felt like it had been pricked by a needle!

Although he had never seen this man before, Edward inexplicably felt a sense of familiarity.

From his young age, he had been mocked for not having a dad, considered as a fatherless bastard.

Even his mother never told him his father's name.

He longed for paternal love but also resented his father!

When this god-like man claimed to be his father, Edward was totally at a loss.

Edward shouted wildly as if he had gone mad, "Dad, don't go! Mom is still waiting for you! Don't leave..."
