Something Happened

Perhaps Yohan should have listened to Ancel's words about the spear they had brought from the alchemist's house. When they reached the palace and were about to enter the hunters' barracks, Alastair Indark was already standing there, staring at them with a fierce glare in his eyes.

"Captain Indark!" Ancel bowed to the man immediately.

Yohan grimaced at him. "Hey, um... I was going out for a while and Ancel came with me because he was worried."

Alastair tugged at the collar of Yohan's clothes. The rough action made Yohan moan in pain. The black marks that suddenly appeared on his body still looked like burns.

Alastair noticed the change in Yohan's expression. "What's wrong?" he asked.

Yohan immediately shook his head. "Nothing. It's nothing."

"You're lying."

Alastair quickly pulled off Yohan's clothes and examined his body. He was shocked to see the black marks all over Yohan's body. His eyes were filled with horror. He immediately pulled Yohan's arm in the direction of his room.

"Wait, wait, hey, Alastair!"

Alastair shoved Yohan into his room. Ancel didn't want to get involved, so he immediately gave Yohan's twin spears back to him.

"What is this?"

"Huh?"

"The one on your body. You didn't have that black mark on your body before. You're hiding something from me, aren't you?"

Yohan stroked his neck. He could no longer be evasive. Alastair had indeed been assigned by the Crown Prince to keep an eye on Yohan, and as a respected knight, he could not afford to let a shred of important information slip through his fingers.

Alastair pulled on his clothes again. "Show me."

Yohan snorted. "Okay, okay, calm down."

Yohan's clothes were completely removed and Alastair saw all the black marks that were spread over Yohan's body. Alastair's face looked very shocked and Yohan understood.

"What is this? Why is it like this? What are you doing?"

"Calm down, calm down, I'll explain."

Yohan picked up the twin spears made of green dragon scales, still wrapped in cloth. He placed the weapons in front of Alastair. When Alastair started to open the cloth cover, Yohan immediately stopped his hand.

"No!"

Alastair frowned in surprise. "Why, what is this?"

"Twin spear."

"What spear?"

"Well, on the last expedition I brought back green dragon scales. It was said that the dragon scales in the Nox area could be used as a weapon alloy. I took the green dragon scales to an alchemist and asked him to make a weapon using the dragon scales as an ingredient. Ancel and I picked them up today, and... and..."

Alastair looked skeptical. "And?"

"Okay, so Ancel and I went to the alchemist. He gave me the twin spears. I was very curious and also interested, so I wanted to touch the spear. But suddenly my body was thrown off. It felt like an electric shock and suddenly this black mark appeared on my body.”

Alastair could not believe it. He did not even know what to say. How could someone from another world think of wearing dragon scales and making a weapon out of them?

Alastair had never seen anything like it. This black mark on Yohan's body was something new to him. It could be very dangerous or even have no effect.

"Hey, are you going to report this to the Crown Prince?"

Alastair looked at Yohan. "And if I do?"

"There's nothing I can do, but I hope you won't report it to His Highness the Crown Prince first."

"What are you going to do?" he asked.

"I thought I would find out about this black marks that suddenly appeared on my body. I need to find out if this black marks is dangerous or not," he explained.

"And what are you going to do with that green dragon spear?" Alastair pointed to the bundle of spears in front of him.

"I... well, I'm going to practice so I can use it."

Alastair was not convinced. "And how?"

Yohan shrugged. Actually, he was not sure either. "I don't know either." He chuckled softly.

Alastair shook his head in disbelief. "What if it endangers you?"

"But it's useless if you don't try, right?"

"You really are stubborn."

Yohan raised both hands. "Wow, relax man. Even if it gets dangerous, I'll make sure that I'm the only one in danger."

"That's not a solution, Yohan."

"I know."

Alastair no longer knew how to understand Yohan's way of thinking. Perhaps because they came from different worlds? Or because they never really understood each other.

As long as he had been a Knight of the Kingdom, Alastair had never met anyone who dared to disobey his words. Everyone was obedient, even those who were fellow knights from noble families. Those from the hunter division did not even dare to look at Alastair, let alone disagree with his advice. But Yohan? He always had his own opinion and felt completely unbound by Alastair's orders.

What kind of world does Yohan live in?

"Hey? What's up?"

Alastair blinked. "W-What?"

"I don't know, you look lost in thought. Is something bothering you?"

Alastair shook his head. Then he stood up quickly. "I will return to the knight's headquarters. Regarding your condition and the spear, I will not report it to the Crown Prince for the time being. I will also look for information about your condition. As long as that strange black mark is still on your body, don't misbehave."

Yohan was about to open his mouth, but Alastair glared at him. Finally, Yohan just gave up and nodded.

"Wow, how can someone younger than me exude such a strong air of intimidation?" Yohan muttered.

He looked back at his bundle of twin spears. For now, he still could not touch the weapons carelessly. Something was happening between the items from the Nox area and his body.

"Is it because I'm not from this world?"

This was tricky because Yohan himself did not even understand why he had been dragged into the summoning session. Well, he was trying to pull the arm of the girl who was wanted in this world, but the problem was... damn, Yohan was getting a headache just thinking about it.

"I have to meet with Ancel. He might have talked to Alastair."

Yohan hid his twin spears under the bed. Ancel left when he saw Alastair Indark coming, so Yohan looked for him.

"Where is he? He usually sits alone under that oak."

Yohan frowned in confusion. It was unusual for Ancel to leave Yohan like that. Yohan's steps continued. His search for Ancel brought him into contact with other hunters. Two hunters said that they did not know where Ancel was, and one said that Ancel should be with Yohan.

"What the hell? Where the hell is he?" Yohan was tired, but Ancel was nowhere to be found.

Yohan's footsteps slipped away. He hesitated to continue. There were borders where hunters were not allowed to go. A group of commoners like them was always restricted in some way. Yohan wanted to turn back, but his steps stopped when he heard a loud crash behind the railing.

"What happened?"
