The salt of the Pacific still clung to Jack Parker's skin as he stood in the customs terminal of Harmonfield Skyport. The glass walls shimmered with the reflections of a thousand flashing cameras, and outside, a crowd surged like a living tide.

Sarah adjusted her sunglasses. "We weren’t gone that long."

Emily gave her a look. "Jack literally turned underwater cities into a worldwide movement. They probably expected you to come back with gills."

Jack didn’t respond. His eyes lingered on the skyline of Harmonfield—different now, somehow smaller after months among deep-sea ecosystems and ancient island cultures. But home all the same.

As they stepped into the sunlight, cheers erupted. A sea of biologists, marine engineers, environmentalists, students, and media personnel stretched beyond the street barricades. Some held banners: Welcome Home, Abyss Builders, Dragon Breathes Beneath the Sea, Mālama Honua—Care for Our Earth.

Jack raised a hand in acknowledgment. The cheers doubled.

The celebration fire faded to a focused simmer. The cabin’s warmth settled into something almost sacred—a planning war room disguised as cozy wood and soft lamp glow.Sarah stretched her arms above her head. “To build something like this… we should analyze the competition.”Ryan perked. “You mean… the other cartoon networks? Like the Big Ones?” His eyes widened like he was saying the names of rival clans.Emily nodded. “It’s naïve not to benchmark. Their strengths, their flaws.”Jackson pulled the holo-screen closer, fingers dancing. “Competitor analysis mode: on.”He tapped a few icons.Three logos hovered above the table like floating runes—digital ghosts surrounded by decades of nostalgia.Matilda whispered, awestruck, “…The Holy Trinity.”Ryan gasped. “Cartoon Network. Nickelodeon. Disney Channel.”Jack folded his arms. “Let’s break them down.”The AI hummed, eager. “Proceeding with comparative emotional frameworks.”CARTOON NETWORK flashed first.Lena leaned forward, eyes bright.

The cheering eventually tapered into softer chatter, the kind that hummed through bones instead of eardrums. Everyone slumped into fresher positions, eyes still bright like kids staring at fireworks through sleepy lids.Ryan flopped upside-down across the beanbag, hair dangling. “Okay, honest question—how do we stack up? Like… against other cartoon networks?”Emily lifted a brow. “As in… comparisons?”Ryan pointed wildly. “Benchmarking! Industry evaluation! Creative warfare!”Sarah snorted. “You’re dramatic.”“COMPARATIVE ANALYTICS!” he yelled, then immediately coughed politely. “Please.”Jack sighed, but the corner of his mouth twitched. “…Fine. Benchmarking matters.”Jackson flicked open another holo-window. “Let’s talk competition.”Matilda clasped her hands dramatically. “Disney!”Ryan whispered like a monk before enlightenment. “The Mouse Kingdom.”Emily’s posture sharpened. “They have legacy power. Decades of narrative imprinting. Iconic branding.”Lena nodded. “Kids imprint on

The cabin was still vibrating with shared adrenaline when the applause finally died down. Breathless, energized, glowing with purpose, the team collapsed into seats, beanbags, stools, and floor cushions like soldiers after battle.Jackson flicked open a holo-board with a renewed fever. “Okay. DragonJunior is official. Now we need genre lanes. Content pillars. Emotional curricula.”Matilda blinked. “…Emotional what-now?”Emily snapped her fingers. “Curricula. Structured emotional education. Episodes tailored to feelings like anxiety, guilt, shame, self-worth.”Ryan tilted his head. “So like… therapy school but with cartoons?”Sarah smirked. “With cool visuals and plush merch to normalize coping skills.”Ryan gasped. “…Normalize. Plush. Coping. Skills.”He whispered it reverently as if reciting a spell.Jack rubbed his temple but smiled. “We can assign emotional focus codes. Blue episodes for calming content. Orange for problem-solving. Yellow for affirmation-based stories.”Lena’s eyes

The AI’s voice pulsed softly through the cabin.“Collective morale elevated. Purpose detected.”Ryan threw both fists in the air and spun like a malfunctioning satellite. “Purpose equals PROFITS!”Emily swatted him. “Purpose equals impact.”Matilda raised a finger. “Impact equals plushies.”Lena nodded sagely. “Thus, plushies equals healing.”Sarah blinked. “How… did we reach that conclusion?”Ryan jabbed at his chest proudly. “SCIENCE!”Emily groaned into her palms. “That is absolutely not science.”Jackson spread out a new banking analytics holo-sheet. “Based on current media projections? If the pitch lands, merchandising alone could generate anywhere between two hundred to four hundred million credits in the first five years.”Everyone froze.Matilda’s head snapped around so fast she nearly pirouetted. “FOUR HUNDRED MILLION?!”Ryan squealed. “COLLEGE DEBT TERMINATED!”Emily folded her arms. “Merchandising royalties vary. Disney takes 35% to 55% depending on the clause.”Jackson tap

The cabin dimmed, screens dissolving to black. Jackson exhaled, lowered the stylus, and leaned back like a warrior dropping his sword after victory. Then—Matilda’s tiny clap echoed into a thunderous applause.Ryan spun in mid-air thanks to partial gravity dampening. “WE SURVIVED! WE THRIVED! WE–”He smacked gently into the cabin ceiling.Sarah raised a hand. “Gravity is still a thing. Please respect it.”Ryan nodded upside-down. “As you wish, queen.”Emily massaged her temples, but she was smiling. “The adrenaline crash is real.”Jackson flicked his wrist, saving the masterpiece to a shimmering holo-drive shaped like a tiny dragon. “Okay… done for real.”Jack crossed his arms, half impressed, half exhausted. “That’s a lot of creative energy.”Jackson pointed dramatically. “Trauma alchemy.”The AI chimed helpfully, “Diagnostic: overwhelming creative catharsis detected.”Lena sagely nodded. “Scientifically accurate.”Jack chuckled. “Sure. Let’s call it that.”They settled into semi-circ

But he didn’t stop at one.Holographic windows multiplied like hungry ideas. Particle effects shimmered in mid-air, glittering against the dim cabin lights. Even the AI dimmed the overhead glow slightly—as if giving the creative chaos a stage.Matilda leaned forward with predatory anticipation. “Are we escalating?”Jackson nodded slowly. “Oh, we’re escalating.”He spun the stylus, digital glyphs trailing like comet tails. The cartoon suddenly zoomed out—revealing the mother asteroid.Ryan gasped. “IT HAS A MOUTH?”Sarah groaned, laughing. “Oh no…”On screen, the colossal asteroid opened jagged, stone-toothed jaws, roaring flames. Cartoon Jack braced himself, Dragon Dagger glowing brighter than ever.Emily slapped her forehead. “This is astrophysical slander.”Lena whispered reverently, “This is justice for all those times space tried to kill us.”Ryan grabbed both sides of his head. “I want posters of this in my room. Maybe a shrine. Maybe—”Matilda smacked him with a pillow before he
