02. Help, I'm Being Kidnapped!

"I have to go home soon, Blaire will be waiting for me. I have to tell Blaire about this no matter what;" Javier said, he was about to walk home because he didn't have the money to take a taxi.

"It's not that far anyway, I can walk." However, his cell phone rang again and someone called him again. Javier had to check it again and thought that the strange number was calling him again.

"Oh, it's not that strange number..." His sister-in-law's name appeared on his phone screen, Blaire's older sister Bella. Javier was a little confused because Blaire's family never contacted him. He kind of hoped that they would bring good news when they called him.

"Did mom tell Bella and this time she's going to give me a job?" Javier wondered with excitement. He quickly picked up the phone for fear that his sister-in-law would be waiting a long time.

"Hello, how are you, Bella? I'm surprised that you called me!" Javier said as he picked up the phone.

"Did mom tell you I was coming?" Javier asked again. There was a sigh from Bella, as she seemed reluctant to respond to Javier's words.

"Yes, she told me that you came and bothered her. He also said that you begged him for more work, like a beggar." Bella insulted him and laughed, while Javier, who was hoping for something good and smiling, slowly realized that his brother-in-law didn't call him to help him.

"Aren't you embarrassed to keep asking my family for help?" Bella asked. Javier took a deep breath, again he had to hold back his anger for his wife's sake.

"This is Blaire's request and I'm doing this because she's pregnant..."

"I know that, what a fool my sister is. She got married and is now pregnant by a man like you, living together is hard like that, how can you have a child?" Bella's words are true, Javier has not been able to make a comfortable life for himself and Blaire, and now he will have a child.

"Of course I'll keep trying, Blaire's pregnancy is a beautiful gift for both of us so I'll do everything I can to give our child the best." Again, Bella laughed as if Javier's words were nonsense.

"Don't get your hopes up! No matter how hard you try, you'll still be a poor man, that's just bad luck, Javier."

"You'll never get a job anywhere..." Javier furrowed his brow in confusion, he felt that Bella's words were not true. He could definitely get a job.

"That's wrong! I'll get a job." Javier argued.

"You’re so stupid, why do you think you can't get a job until now?" Bella asked. Javier thinks that he hasn't gotten a job yet because he hasn't worked hard enough and there isn't a company that feels like a good fit for Javier.

"You'll never get a job in this town because mom told all the companies in this town to refuse to hire you," Bella explained.

"N-no way she would do that..." Javier tried to refute his sister-in-law's words and chose not to believe her.

Of course Javier was shocked to hear that, he couldn't believe that his mother-in-law hated him so much that she would do such an evil thing to him.

"She really wants you to divorce Blaire, so if you want your life to be easier, leave Blaire and let her live happily with someone else."

"Because you don't deserve Blaire." Javier's chest tightened at Bella's words, he didn't deserve Blaire but he was always trying to be worthy of his wife, he would keep trying for Blaire because only Blaire could make him happy.

"But is Blaire happy with me? Would she be happier with another man?" Javier wondered to himself, because of Bella's words, he began to doubt.

"Javier," Bella asked as Javier didn't reply to her earlier:

"Yes." Javier replied briefly.

"I'm warning you once again to leave Blaire right now! As for the pregnancy, we'll take care of that. If you haven't divorced her by tomorrow, you and your child will not be welcome in our family. We will also disown your child and make your lives miserable forever. Remember that!" Bella threatened him.

"You've suffered enough and now you're going to make your child suffer too? Think this through."

After saying that, Bella hung up the phone. Javier was pensive again as he stood with his cell phone in his hand.

"Leaving Blaire so soon? I can't do it," Javier muttered. He loved Blaire and his unborn child very much, but if he didn't leave Blaire and divorce her, their lives would be very difficult and they would never be happy.

In the midst of his confusion, a Lincoln limousine suddenly stopped a few meters in front of Javier. Javier didn't pay attention to it at first and thought it was just a coincidental stop, until two men got out of it and walked towards him.

"Who are they? Why do they seem to be walking towards me?" Javier looked around and didn't see anyone else.

"Are they bad people? But what do they want from me? I'm even dressed like this." Before he could think anymore, a black bag was placed over his head and the two men dragged him away.

"Who are you two? Why are you taking me? Let me go!" screamed Javier in fear as he tried to free himself. Though his body was muscular and he was strong enough, the two men were so big that Javier couldn't move and ended up getting into the car.

"Let go of me damn it! I don't have anything to steal, you guys have nothing to gain by kidnapping me!" Javier was still shouting, thinking that he was kidnapped by the two men.

"How is this? I can't escape, I can't even see anything." Javier began to worry, thinking about Blaire who was probably waiting for him at home.

"Why is my life like this? I can't find a job, I'm hated by my wife's family, and now I've been kidnapped? Would it be better if I died?" Javier muttered, he was starting to feel that he was very unlucky. He was the bearer of bad luck for everyone.

"But I have to survive for Blaire and my son..."

"Let me go, please let me go!" Javier shouted again and just then the car stopped somewhere.

"Am I being released now?" Javier furrowed his brow in confusion but suddenly his body was pulled violently out of the car. He was still trying to break free but the two men were too strong.

He walked for a while until he was placed on a stand. Javier couldn't see but he knew he was being stared at by the people around him.

"Why are they silent now? And where am I?" Javier's question was answered when the bag from his head was opened and he could see around him, he was in a luxurious house with several men in black standing around him.

But his gaze was immediately drawn to an old man walking towards him with an unhappy expression, he looked angry.

"Who is that old man? Did he tell them to kidnap me?" But the old man didn't seem angry with him, he stared at the man in black behind Javier.

"Who let you treat our young master like this!" he shouted angrily making everyone look down in fear.
