At that crucial moment, when the tip of Malakai Yan's sword seemed about to split Eadric Rong's body in two, there was suddenly a loud noise.

KRAK!

With unbelievable speed, a pebble bounced off and struck his sword.

"Ouch!" Malakai Yan winced in pain.

When the stone touched his sword, he felt electricity sting his hand, jolting his heartbeat. His sword slipped out and fell, clinking to the ground.

A moment later, Malakai Yan raised his head and looked for who did that. "Who dares to stand in my way? Come out and show yourself! We'll fight to the finish!" His voice was full of arrogance.

Malakai Yan dared to act as he pleased all this time because he relied on his father, the deputy leader of the Wudang Sect. So, no one dared to challenge him.

The atmosphere became quiet, with only the wind rustling.

Not long after, a man around thirty-two years old emerged from behind a rock. His face was solemn, and he was wearing the clothes and robes commonly worn by elders in the Wudang Sect.

His name was Juric Teng. He was an elder in charge of the outer court disciples. Like most elders in the sect, he was a Taoist priest.

Behind Priest Juric Teng, a girl stood somewhat timidly. Her name was Millie Xiao. She was 9 years old and an outer court disciple. She was the niece of Priest Juric Teng and a close friend of Eadric Rong.

In fact, Millie Xiao reported this incident to Priest Juric Teng, the elder in the outer court.

Elder Juric Teng looked at Malakai Yan with bright eyes. "I did that. I deliberately used a pebble to stop you!" Priest Teng said in a cold voice.

Malakai Yan immediately lowered his head after hearing the elder's sharp words. Although Malakai Yan was a disciple of the deputy sect leader, he had to be obedient in the presence of an elder, especially since he had just almost killed Eadric Rong.

"Malakai Yan, inner court disciple! Listen to me!" said Elder Juric Teng sternly, sounding like a judge giving a verdict.

"As an outer court elder, according to my knowledge, disciples in this sect are not allowed to commit acts of murder when dueling between fellow disciples.

But just now, I saw that you used a first-rate technique to attack an outer court disciple who did not have the same ability level as you!" His voice was full of judgment.

"Moreover, you are an inner court disciple who is superior in skills and knowledge. Tell me, what is your reason for coming to the outer court disciples' place and even attempting to injure one of them?"

Malakai Yan's face paled; he was obviously struggling to control his anger. He felt that Elder Juric Teng's interference was excessive. "Isn't this a matter between fellow disciples? How could that old man interfere?"

Although Malakai Yan was about to refute, the last words of Elder Juric Teng made him restrain himself.

"I wonder how the Deputy Sect Leader, Mr. Caleb Yan, would react if he heard this report. His son almost caused harm to an outer court disciple..." The atmosphere became quiet.

Elder Juric Teng's sharp words eased the anger and resentment in Malakai Yan's heart. He was afraid of the threat conveyed by this elder. Malakai Yan often got into trouble, and the last incident when he bullied an outer court disciple made his father very angry, even threatening to expel him from the sect.
