Eadric Rong stood still, caught in a dilemma of two difficult choices. He could choose to stay in that cave prison, waiting for a decision from the Sect Master until his pearl core was broken, his legs and arms were broken, and he became a cripple for life.

Or, he could choose to leave and become a fugitive of the Wudang Sect forever if he chose to follow the old man standing in front of him.

"I am not forcing you to follow me," the old man said in a soft yet firm voice. "However, I feel sorry for a talent like you. They will destroy your pearl core, which will make your future bleak. However, all decisions are in your hands."

Hearing the urging, Eadric Rong knelt down and worshiped the old man.

He banged his forehead against the cold, moss-strewn floor. "Senior, mighty old man. I have no purpose in leaving the Wudang Sect. Ever since I was a child, I've been a lone wolf, without a father and mother."
