A Spy

'What was that just now?' I asked myself as I thought back to the aura that I sensed outside a while ago, it seemed familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time, I needed to do a little investigation in this town.

"What was the trump card?" Mei Ling asked with a frown curious to know.

"Oh sorry something came up so I have to leave now, it's of utmost importance so please forgive me, I'll finish the story tonight" I said quickly as I stood up then deactivated the barrier before motioning for the rest to follow me as we each booked rooms for ourselves.

"What!" Mei Ling said with anger as the suspense ate at her mind.

"System I need you to do a full scan of the town now" James said to the system immediately after entering his room, he erected a soundproof barrier around the room as he sat on his bed awaiting the system's response.

[I can't do that]

"What do you mean, 'I can't do that', huh?" James asked in confusion.

[Me doing that would be considered as me helping you with the mission]

"Oh
