“Don’t listen to him, Boss! He’s trying to trick us. This is just another scheme—he must have some evil plan up his sleeve,” Baron said, cocking his pistol and aiming it straight at Marvin. “Right, asshole?”
Marvin shot Baron a cold, piercing glare. “I’m not talking to you. You’d better shut your mouth before I lose my patience. You wouldn’t want me to break every bone in your arms and legs, would you?”
“You!”
Baron remembered how he had found Marvin beating his men just moments before. He had pulled his gun then and had the perfect chance to shoot, but the second Marvin looked at him, his entire body had gone rigid.
There was something unnatural about Marvin. Every instinct in Baron’s mind screamed that if Marvin decided to attack, he would be dead before he could even pull the trigger.
“Put the gun down, Baron. Stay out of this,” Walter ordered sharply.
With a look of pure frustration, Baron lowered his weapon. He and Marvin stared each other down for another second before Marvin shifted his full attention back to Walter.
“So you really plan to pay the debt in cash, just like you boasted last night?” Walter mocked.
“That’s exactly what I’m doing. Now take your money and our business is finished,” Marvin replied without hesitation.
Just like the night before, Marvin stood his ground and challenged Walter without a trace of fear. It infuriated Walter, yet at the same time he found himself strangely drawn to this bold, unyielding attitude.
“Very well then. I’ll open this bag. Let’s see if it’s actually filled with thirty million in cash as you claim… or just a pile of dirty rags,” Walter said, still wearing his mocking smile.
He picked up the bag and lifted it, testing its weight while keeping that same sneering expression on his face.
But the moment he unzipped the top of the bag, his smile vanished instantly. Baron’s eyes went wide in shock at what he saw.
“Is this… is this real money?”
Walter reached in and pulled out a thick stack of bills, inspecting them closely. He tossed it aside, grabbed another, and checked it again. He repeated this several times, his expression growing more serious with each one.
“What’s wrong, Boss? It’s fake, right? It has to be fake,” Baron insisted.
Walter didn’t answer. Instead, he tilted the bag upside down, letting all the stacks of cash spill out across the floor.
Marvin stood completely still, watching Walter’s movements with cold detachment.
Every single bill was genuine. Even he had been surprised when it first appeared.
Out of curiosity, he had asked the system if it was possible to convert the thirty million dollars from his bank account into physical cash.
And just like that, the bag filled with neatly stacked bills had materialized right in front of him.
Earlier, the full one hundred and thirty million dollars had entered his account after he requested to receive his reward ahead of schedule.
But there was a price to pay: for the next several hours, his body felt burning hot, and his heart beat at a rapid, pounding pace.
Right now, he was in what the system called “Hell Mode.” Physically, he was stronger, more dangerous, and far more destructive. But if he lost control, he would collapse unconscious.
And passing out while deep inside the Black Skull’s base would be nothing short of a disaster.
“That is thirty million dollars. You can count it if you want. Now the debt is paid. And according to our agreement, neither you nor your men are ever to set foot in my shop again. I expect you to keep your word, Walter,” Marvin stated clearly.
Walter stared back at him, his face showing clear displeasure.
“Baron, count it!” he commanded.
“On it, Boss,” Baron replied, immediately ordering several of his men to step forward. They knelt down, gathering the stacks of cash and counting as they went.
“If the total falls even one dollar short, I’ll consider this debt unpaid,” Walter warned, glaring at Marvin.
Marvin said nothing. He remained motionless, observing the gang members work.
When the last stack was placed back into the bag and the count was finished, Baron’s expression turned grim.
“Baron, what’s the total?” Walter asked.
“It adds up exactly… to thirty million, Boss,” Baron reported reluctantly.
Walter’s face hardened as well. He looked at Marvin in disbelief.
“Don’t tell me you’re already thinking of breaking your promise,” Marvin said coldly.
Walter let out a sharp breath. He glanced at his men lying on the floor, groaning in pain. This… this felt like nothing less than a public humiliation.
Click.
Suddenly, Walter drew a pistol he had hidden behind his back and aimed it directly at Marvin.
Baron followed suit, and all the other gang members raised their weapons too.
“I have to admit, Marvin, you’ve got nerves of steel,” Walter said. “But you made a big mistake if you think you can make a fool out of me here, in the Black Skull’s base. You need to learn your place, boy.”
Marvin gritted his teeth and clenched his fists tightly. His head began to feel heavy, his heart racing faster and his body temperature climbing higher by the second.
‘Damn it! What was the point of bringing all this money if it still ends like this?’ he cursed inwardly.
At that exact moment, the familiar mechanical voice sounded in his mind:
[NEW MISSION DETECTED]
[Objective: Subdue the leader of the Black Skull and make him submit to you.]
[Reward: 300 million dollars.]

Do I Look Like I'm Joking?
High in a penthouse at the city’s heart, Alex and Melanie moved together with fierce intensity upon the wide, broad bed.“Ohh… ohh… so deep…”Melanie rode above him, rising and falling, her hands kneading her own breasts. Alex growled low, his palms roaming over her hips and belly. This had not been planned. She had been waiting for him the moment he walked through the door—pulling him down, kissing him hungrily, before he could even speak. Moments later they were naked in bed, bodies joined, moving with desperate, burning need.It was fast, hard, and breathless. In less than half an hour they reached their peak together, as one. Melanie fell away to lie beside him, chest heaving.“Not like you to be so aggressive,” Alex said, glancing at her with a faint, knowing smirk. “Something troubling you?”Normally it was Alex who took charge—who was the more demanding, the more forceful, the wilder of the two.And his guess was right. Melanie was angry. Furious, in fact.“This afternoon… I we
Manage Your Expectations
The ordeal at the two‑storey house with the wide garage was finally over. Walter ordered his men to dispose of the bodies of Baron and Josh. Marvin turned his full attention to Emily and Lisa.“So you are Emily’s cousin? And you came here to escape your stepfather?” Marvin asked.“That’s right. More or less,” Lisa replied. Her gaze still carried a trace of suspicion. But after all Marvin had done for her, her manner was no longer cold.Marvin glanced at Emily. “You intend to take her to your flat? She’ll live with you there… until she finds somewhere to stay?”Emily looked at Lisa. “We haven’t discussed it yet. We barely had time to speak before that tall, big man appeared. So for now… yes. I’ll take her home with me.”Marvin nodded and looked back at Lisa. She was so young, and so timid. In a busy city like Murndale, she was exactly the kind of woman predators preyed upon.“Then let me drive you there. Should we go now?”Emily and Lisa looked at each other and nodded, almost in uniso
Any Last Words?
It was none other than Walter. He strode down the steps into the basement. Though he carried no pistol or weapon of any kind, his presence alone bore down on the Black Skull members like a weight.Baron was less shaken, yet his eyes blazed with clear alarm. He turned to face his boss.“Baron, what the hell were you doing here? What did I order you to do?” Walter’s voice boomed, sharp and commanding. He fixed Baron with a glare that could have cut steel.Baron opened his mouth… then closed it again, swallowing hard. “You told me to bring these guys here… to help Marvin, Boss.”“Then what in heaven’s name do I see? Why are they pointing guns at him?!”“That is because…” Baron paused, searching for a plausible lie. But then he thought, why lie any longer? This could be the right moment to make Walter see the truth, that Marvin did not belong in the Black Skull.“Because…?” Walter’s voice cracked like a whip. He stood fully upon the basement floor now.Baron drew a breath. “So sorry, Bos
No Better Option
Marvin narrowed his eyes, standing and scanning every man there. These were unmistakably the members of the Black Skull. Yet by their stance and the look in their eyes, they answered entirely to Baron.“This is not surprising at all,” Marvin said calmly. “I expected this moment to come.”Baron smirked and stepped forward slowly. “We have unfinished business. Now seems like the perfect time to settle it.”Marvin replied nothing. He only offered a cold, knowing smile of his own.“Marvin… aren’t these… the same men who caused trouble at the Bowl of Heaven the other day?” Emily asked, her voice tight with alarm.Marvin glanced at her briefly. She was sitting close to Lisa—who looked bewildered, still struggling to understand what was happening.“Stay right where you are, both of you. Don’t worry. You’ll be safe,” Marvin told them, steady and unshaken. He turned his gaze back to Baron and his men. If this was to be the fight… then so be it. He would not hesitate to kill them—Baron above al
Too Soon To Feel Relieved
Half an hour had passed since Walter dropped away from the black SUV. He leaned back and lit his third cigarette, smoke curling into the air.‘Something is not right,’ he told himself. His mind had been fixed on Marvin ever since, wondering what state he was in. Had he won the fight? Had he found the woman he came for? However strong Marvin was, Walter’s worry would not fade. Marvin had gone in blind with rage. And he knew more than anyone, anger could be a fatal flaw.‘I hope this is just a foolish thought of mine,’ Walter thought. But the feeling clung to him, stubborn as ever. With every exhale of smoke, he pictured Marvin down there, alone. He only hoped Baron had moved fast, sending his men to help him.Meanwhile, Baron had just arrived at the two‑storey house with the wide garage. He stood in the yard with some twenty members of the Black Skull—all armed with pistols. Baron had drawn his own and racked the slide. His gaze settled on the black SUV parked before the closed garag
Rest In Hell
The bullets tore toward him, fast and true—at a range where no one should ever have stood unscathed.Marvin should have crumpled then, bleeding out. Instead he stood perfectly still. One hand rose before him, clenched as though catching something.Josh’s eyes bulged. He could not believe what he was seeing. Marvin stood untouched, unmoved. Where had every bullet gone?“Surprised?” Marvin sneered. “Confused?”He opened his palm, and a handful of bullets clattered to the floor.“What the hell…”Josh stared in utter disbelief. Marvin lowered his hand and kept walking forward.“You’d better brace yourself, because I will beat you within an inch of your life… before I finish you off,” Marvin said, his voice cold as ice.Having caught every round fired at him, he knew he already won this fight. The System had done far more than cloak him; it had sharpened his speed to something beyond human comprehension.“No way this is happening! This must be some kind of trick,” Josh muttered, blinking h
