Chapter Seven - Untouchable, the Unknown Man the World Knows.
"I don't know the right adjective to qualify you. Stupid? Bold? Definitely stupid. You came into this place alone to play a hero for a kid..." "She's my daughter." Draven snapped his voice off, his voice firm. Then his voice dropped to a cold dangerous edge. "And you dare to use her for your dirty game. You don't deserve to live." Viktor's expression wavered slightly. He had always known the kid had no father, that Alessia had given birth to her and the irresponsible man vanished from her life, but this unknown man had just shown up, claiming to be her father. Natasha narrowed his eyes on Draven, smirking mockingly. "So, you're the irresponsible trash she spread her legs for." She scoffed, looking at him from head to toe. "A cop who hired bodyguards to protect him just to prove he's powerful. You're still a weakling. A man who bailed from real responsibility after entertaining himself with a woman. Draven didn't react. He simply stared at her with an intense gaze like she wasn't even worthy of his words. Then Viktor burst into laughter. His men laughed along with him. "Father?" He scoffed. "You came alone to play the hero for your daughter. I don't care whatever relationship you have with her and Alessia. They both belong to me now and you are doing nothing about it." Viktor stepped back with a cruel wide grin spreading over his face. The three men who came with him stepped forward. Each one of them pulled out crude weapons. Knife, Baton Reinforced with nails and Cutlass. One rolled his shoulder, flashing a deadly ugly grin. Another cracked his neck, brandishing the silver blade threateningly. Natasha grinned with all teeth— cruel and satisfying. "You're finished now without your hired bodyguards protecting you." "Kill him," Viktor snapped, "Don't touch the girl." He said and sank into a chair, leaned back with a relaxed posture and crossed his legs with the anticipation of the intruder's blood. The biggest one among them with the tattoo of a roaring Lion on his upper arm pushed the two other men backward and stepped forward confidently, he was armed with the Reinforced Baton. He walked towards Draven slowly, dragging the baton behind him. The metal sent small sparks into the air from the contact. "I will handle him alone." He said, his voice dripping with arrogance. " Then you're going to die first." Draven said coolly, his voice conversational. "Hehehe..If I were you, I'll be on my knees right now, pleading for my life to be spared" The thug grinned with all teeth. "..maybe iol just break your bones. But then you're foolish. And that is what's gonna kill you." Immediately he finished, he charged straight at Draven, her heavy feet cracking the concrete beneath his feet. The spectators leaned in with bright eyes of anticipation. "He's dead!!" "There is no way he'll survive this!" "He's finished!!" The thug swung his Baton. The metal whistle faintly through the air, coming for Draven to shatter his face. Draven didn't move instantly. It was until the last second. He simply titled his head effortlessly. The baton swooped past his head cleanly yet Julie was balanced safely on his arms. He straightened back with an impossible speed and closed the gap, his fist shot out with a devastating force that could shatter brick. It connected with the thug's chest. Something cracked in his chest before he was sent flying across the room, skidding through the sitting arrangements several meters before his body slammed against the wall with force. His weapon clanged beside him, useless. "You...what.." His eyes widened in horror. He gasped blood from his mouth and died on the spot. Gasps rippled across the hall. "What the heck?!" "Did he just kill him with one punch?!" "Who is this man?!" Viktor shifted slightly on his seat, his arrogant smirk wavered slightly. Then his head tilted slightly to the side. "So, you can fight, Huh?" He clapped his palms as though he'd just got entertained. The two thugs had shock plastered across their expression. They hadn't expected the outcome. The man that was just killed was bigger than each of them. The two of them added together were his size. Yet, Draven had ended him without even dropping a single sweat. Viktor became infuriated. He slammed his palm against the hand rest "What are you all doing!! Kill the bastard!! Now!!" His scream was visceral, laced with desperation and anger. And so, the two men circled around Draven— one with silver Dagger, the other with— Cutlass. Draven didn't have the intention to fight there— he only wants to leave the place quickly with Julie. Her safety first. Yet, even when he was surrounded by the danger, he moved forward without the faintest fear in his expression. "Kill him now!!!" Jackson shrieked.Latest Chapter

Chapter 17: The Secret in the Monroe VaultThe tension outside the northern gates of Crestfall was thick enough to cut with a knife, but inside the city, the silence was heavy. In the war room, officers moved around quietly, monitoring the two-hour clock ticking down on the main wall display. Raymond Cross’s tanks remained idle on the plains, sixty dark shapes waiting patiently for war command.Marcus walked into the war room, straight past the tables and stopped beside Draven, who was reviewing the city's defense grids with Brutus."Commander," Marcus said in a low tone that did not carry across the room. "A specialized unit finished clearing out the Monroe estate thirty minutes ago. While searching the lower study behind the main library, they found a false wall.""What is that?" Draven asked his sharp eyes dropping to the burner steel box. "It belonged to Alessia's late mother, Evelyn Monroe," Marcus explained, keeping the box on a side table. "It was hidden inside a floor safe

Chapter 16: The Standoff at the City GatesThe double doors of the High Council Chamber burst open. Draven walked out with long, deliberate strides, his dark trench coat billowing behind him. His face was a mask of cold steel. Behind him, Marcus followed closely, holding his sidearm tightly.General Raymond Cross stood near the elevator, surrounded by twenty armed guards. A smirk was plastered across his aging face."You made the wrong choice, Mercer," Raymond sneered, stepping into Draven's path. "The moment you walked out on the Prime Minister, you signed your own warrant. You are a traitor now. Guards, arrest him!"Draven didn't even slow down. Before the guards could raise their rifles, Draven moved like a shadow. He grabbed the front of Raymond's uniform, lifted the older general off his feet, and slammed him hard against the marble wall. The guards instantly aimed their weapons at Draven, but Marcus pulled his gun with lightning speed, locking his target on Raymond’s head."Tell

Chapter 15: The Military Council TrapThe low hum of the military helicopter filled the dark cabin as it flew through the night sky toward the capital city. Inside, the red cabin lights cast long shadows across the metal walls.Draven sat near the front, his arms crossed over his chest. His face was cold and still. Beside him, Marcus was typing rapidly on a secure military laptop, reviewing files sent from the High Command.Alessia and Julie were not with them. Draven had left them at the Crestfall fortress under the heavy protection of Brutus and fifty elite soldiers. He had promised Alessia that he would return by morning. But as the towering skyline of the capital came into view, Draven knew this trip would not be simple. Two hours ago, the Prime Minister and the Senior Military Council had issued an emergency summons. Draven was accused of using the nation’s top military assets for personal matters. Specifically, using state troops to destroy the Monroe Group and dismantle the Cr

Chapter 14: Julie's First Day in the Command CenterThe massive silver doors slid open with a soft, mechanical hiss.Alessia stepped into the hall first, leaning lightly on a wooden cane. Her broken ribs were wrapped tightly under her simple sweater, and though every step still caused a dull ache, her face looked healthy and full of color for the first time in years.Holding her hand tightly was little Julie. They were inside the central command center of the Supreme Military Base. The room was vast, high-ceilinged, and filled with glowing blue screens that covered entire walls. Dozens of military officers in sharp dark uniforms sat at the desks, typing rapidly on keyboards and speaking quietly into their headsets. Satellite maps of the nation flashed in real time, tracking ships, aircraft, and other units across thousands of miles. It looked like something straight out of a science-fiction movie."Mama," Julie whispered, her voice filled with awe as she squeezed Alessia's hand. Chapter 13: Brutus Swears AllegianceBrutus stepped out of the ruined underground auction house into the cool night air. The heavy scent of iron and smoke still hung on his skin. He looked down at his huge, calloused hands, stained red with the blood of Viktor Cross's men. For years, those hands had done the dirty work of a spoiled syndicate heir. He had believed Viktor held real power in Crestfall. He had been wrong. Dead wrong.Seeing the gold eagle insignia on Draven Mercer's vest had shattered every lie Brutus lived by. He knew that crest. Every man who had ever served in the military knew it. It belonged to the Supreme War Commander, a living legend who had single-handedly broken entire foreign armies. To challenge a man like Draven was not just foolish—it was suicide.Brutus took a deep breath, filling his chest with air, and wiped his face with the back of his forearm. He had beaten Viktor within an inch of his life, breaking his ties to the Cross family forever. But Brutus k

Chapter 12: Dismantling the Monroe FamilyNatasha walked out of the hospital with a tight, vindictive smile playing on her lips. The cold night air hit her face, but she barely felt it. In her high-end leather purse, the signed document transferring Alessia’s final one percent share in the Monroe Group rested safely. Her father, Blac Monroe, rushed behind her, his forehead glistening with nervous sweat as they stepped into the back seat of their luxury sedan."Natasha, are you sure Lord Alaric won't blame us for Viktor's state?" Blac asked, his voice trembling as the driver pulled away from the hospital. "If the Cross family turns on us, our loans will be called in instantly. We will lose everything!""Relax, Father," Natasha said, pulling out the paper and admiring Alessia's signature in the dim streetlights. "Lord Alaric knows Alessia and her nameless soldier are the real targets. The Red Vipers will hunt them down like dogs before morning. Meanwhile, we have what we came for."She
