“What’s it, Sheena?” Sophie asked in shock. Everyone knew she had always been best friends with Sheena.

“You think I don’t know you have been giving information about all my movements to the sect leader?” Sheena said coldly. “You even told her who Sam is. You are the reason she became so invested in finding a husband for me.

“It was never like this before. You ruined my life.”

“How did you…?” Sophie asked, stunned.

“I have my ways, Sophie.” Sheena smirked.

“Listen, Sheena. I had your well-being at heart. Sam is not worthy of you. He’s just a very weak man. Besides, even if I didn’t tell her, you couldn’t possibly hide your relationship forever, could you?” Sophie reasoned.

Sheena did not say another word. She was worried about her father, seeing that he looked like he was about to say something. What if he was punished because of her again?

Harold seemed to understand her thoughts and stepped forward.

“Where are you going, Harold?” Margaret asked coldly.

Samuel took a glance at Keira. She forced what she assumed was a cute smile, but to Samuel it looked pathetic. It was very clear she rarely smiled, even though she was quite beautiful. not the kind of beauty that could fell a city or anything of that sort.“I’m sorry about yesterday. I was being impulsive,” she apologized.Samuel felt that her words did not come from the heart. He did not like her one bit. He always felt uneasy around her, but after checking carefully, he could tell she was not an Urgaba, so he had been less tense.“I think we should depart now so we don’t keep him waiting,” Old Man Brown said as he stood up.A few minutes later, they hit the road. The black-dressed lady, Keira, was the one driving. Old Man Brown told Samuel stories about his younger days. Some of the stories were interesting, while others were boring or outright awkward.Soon, they entered a road surrounded by forest on both sides. The road was mostly empty. They had only come across two cars so far.

Samuel was prepared to leave in the morning. He went to Majeed’s room and knocked, but there was no response. He turned the doorknob, and the door opened. He did not know what to make of the sight before him. The first time he had met Majeed, the man also had two women by his side. Back then, he had seemed like some big shot in Samuel’s eyes.Who would have thought that such a person had once been in a position where he could only rely on connections to avoid a beating? But that was simply how the world worked. Everything had its own level. If he had not grown this powerful, he might not even have had the chance to meet people like these. At the moment, Majeed had two women resting against his arms.“Did I interrupt something important?”“No.” Majeed finally got up lazily. “I didn’t know it was you knocking. Just give me a few minutes and I’ll get changed.”“Alright. I’ll be at the dojo waiting for you.” Samuel nodded and closed the door behind him. When he arrived at the dojo, he was

"Who’s the test subject?""Cain," Samuel replied calmly."Cain…? I hope this has nothing to do with your quarrel?" he asked."Definitely not." Samuel shook his head in denial."Alright. I think I might have overreacted earlier. I allowed my pride to get in the way," the old man said calmly. It was a good thing he was someone who could recognize and accept his mistakes without anyone needing to point them out."Follow me," Brown said as he stood up and picked up the ring on the table. He walked toward the exit door, and the black-dressed lady hurriedly opened it for him."Master is out," someone whispered, and the words spread immediately. A sudden silence followed as everyone bowed in unison, but the old man waved his hand before they could continue, indicating there was no need for formalities. They parted the way carefully, and Samuel and Majeed followed behind the old man. Finally, he arrived before Cain, who was being treated by a cleric. The cleric handed him a pill, most likely

“I beg to differ, Old Man Brown, but you might not be a match for the strongest of the Urgabas,” Samuel said. The old man looked at him in a new light. “You know more than I thought, son. I think I understand what you are referring to, but the thing is, matters concerning Abominations of that level are not spoken of lightly. When I mentioned the strongest, I did not mean them.” He smiled faintly.“We have a rule not to mention them to others.”“Have you ever come across any?” Samuel asked.“I’m afraid not. I wouldn’t be alive if I had.” The old man threw the question back, though only for form’s sake. Samuel would not be standing before him if that were the case. “Have you?”“Maybe. Let’s not dwell on this topic,” Samuel said, shifting slightly. Still, he could not help thinking about his terrible luck. He had encountered two of them, while a renowned Urgaba Hunter like Brown had never come across even one.Samuel clasped his hands together and began explaining the artifact he had bui

The fight had grown intense, and finally, Cain was starting to wear out. He had wasted a tremendous amount of energy, launching attack after attack, yet not a single punch had landed. This was the most disgraceful thing that had ever happened to him. Never in his life had he been humiliated to this extent, especially not by a kid barely between eighteen and twenty-two years old. This disgrace would haunt him for the rest of his life. No. He had to land a punch. Something deep within him told him that if he could land even one solid hit, he would take Samuel down in a single swoop.Perhaps the boy possessed some kind of special physique, one that enhanced speed and agility. Such things were rare, but not unheard of.“Why do you keep dodging?” Cain snarled. “If you have the guts, stay in one place and take me head-on. Stop being a coward.”The crowd fell silent for a brief moment before murmurs erupted. Everyone thought Cain was shameless for even saying such words.“Can you imagine how
