Samuel had a bigger problem at the moment. The enormous amount of yin energy he absorbed was now rampaging wildly through his body. He immediately sat cross-legged on the floor and began cultivating to stabilize it.

He didn’t know how long he cultivated, but by the time he opened his eyes, he realized something shocking. He had broken through several levels and was now at the fifth level of the Body Cultivation Realm.

The rapid advancement left him stunned. Just how strong was that mysterious girl? He glanced at the bed and saw her still sleeping peacefully. After a moment of hesitation, he stood up and headed to the washroom. It was already five in the morning. He took out some of the expensive herbs he had bought and prepared a medicinal bath.

This one was even richer than the one he made yesterday. He wanted to stabilize his sudden rise in cultivation so his foundation would not become unstable.

Because he was already at the peak of the fifth level, it did not take long for him to break through to the sixth level, just about an hour later. He continued cultivating until morning before finally stepping out of the washroom.

After changing into fresh clothes, he walked into the living room and heard faint noises coming from the kitchen. He tiptoed closer, curious, and what he saw left him stunned.

The strange girl from last night was standing by the cooker, wearing his oversized pajama shirt, humming softly while cooking. He frowned slightly since he did not remember buying any food items. Then he recalled Lena had stocked up the kitchen, but he had not used them yet.

Now, with the morning light streaming through the window, Samuel could finally see her features clearly, something he had not been able to appreciate last night due to the chaos.

She was breathtaking. Her figure was flawless, rivaling even Lena’s, who had the best shape among all the women he remembered from the former Samuel’s memories. Yet her beauty was different. It was dangerous, like the forbidden fruit. There was something about her that promised once you touched her, there would be no return.

As if sensing his gaze, she turned to face him, her expression soft and affectionate.

"Hi, hubby. Good morning," she greeted, a dazzling smile lighting up her exquisite face.

Samuel froze for a second. In his previous life, his fiancée had been the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, yet even her beauty paled slightly compared to this vampire girl’s allure.

The thought of his fiancée made his expression darken. After the seemingly endless years of torture and suffering in the crystal space, his mind had refined itself to such an extent that he had not thought about her betrayal, not even once.

It was almost as if his brain had deliberately locked those memories away, a natural defense mechanism to protect him from the unbearable pain he suffered in his early days there.

The girl noticed his frown and confusion, and her expression shifted to concern. She walked over quickly, placing her cool palm on his forehead.

"Are you alright, hubby? Are you running a fever?" she asked softly. She had heard from her servants that humans were fragile and easily fell ill.

"Urgh… no," Samuel replied, shaking his head slightly. "I just got lost in thought for a moment. Wait, what exactly are you doing?"

"Cooking, of course." She flashed him a bright, dazzling smile. "I am making breakfast for you, hubby. I saw you cultivating in the bathtub this morning and figured you would be hungry when you were done."

Samuel blinked, baffled.

"You… why are you calling me hubby? And also, I thought you were wanted. Shouldn’t you have been gone the moment you woke up?" His brows furrowed as he spoke.

"Oh, that." She waved a hand dismissively. "I just did not want you to take me to the hospital cause it's no use. They can't treat my wounds. As for the one who hurt me, I already killed him before escaping." Her tone was indifferent, almost casual, as she mentioned the killing.

Samuel stared at her for a moment, then sighed. "Alright, I understand that. But still, why are you calling me hubby?"

"Because we are married." She took a step closer, her voice calm but resolute. "You took my first time and even performed the union with me. Can’t you feel it? We are one now."

Before he could respond, she gently grabbed his hand and placed it on her chest.

Samuel felt her heartbeat beneath his palm, steady yet strangely synchronized with his own. There was an inexplicable connection between them, something he could not deny no matter how much he wanted to.

"How did this even happen?" he muttered, exasperated. "And what do you mean I took your first time? We did not actually… do the deed."

"I do not know either," she said, shaking her head. "I performed a very powerful secret art of my demon sect, taking your Yang energy to cure myself. But then, my Yin energy suddenly flowed into your body, merging with your Yang, and our souls became connected. In our sect, such an act is called The Union Ritual, and it cannot be broken."

It was not supposed to happen, not without both parties agreeing. But somehow, the bond formed anyway, and we exchanged yin and yang energy."

She looked straight into his eyes, her expression serious. "Only couples can exchange yin and yang like that. And it was my first time."

Samuel rubbed his forehead, letting out a long sigh. So that is what happened. It was probably caused by his Primordial Devouring Art. He had been circulating it furiously at the time. Still, he did not know the exact mechanism, and right now, he did not want to think about it. A dull headache was already forming.

But one thing was certain: he had to find a way to deal with this situation.

"I am really sorry this happened," he said slowly. "It was not either of our faults, but you see, I am still a high school student. I am not ready for marriage."

"But we are already married." She cut him off sharply, raising a brow.

"Not like that," he countered quickly. "That is not how modern world people get married."

"It does not matter how the modern world people marry." Her tone turned firm, her crimson eyes locking onto his. "We are already bound. I even shared my soul seed with you, which means my life is tied to yours. As a demon sect heiress, I can only have one partner for life. And now that you hold my soul seed, we are bound forever."

Samuel’s mind raced as he tried to think of a way out. Finally, he blurted out the first idea that came to him.

"I already have someone else. There is another woman I love, and I cannot leave her." At first, the lie felt heavy on his tongue, but when he thought of Lena, her warmth and kindness, it almost felt like he was telling the truth.

The girl froze. Then her expression darkened.

"What?" Her voice was low, dangerous. "You have another woman? Who is she? Tell me, and I will kill her. No one else can have my hubby. I will kill anyone who dares to try."

Samuel swallowed hard, a bead of sweat sliding down his temple.

Shit… she is a tsundere.

He felt like crying, but no tears came. One thing was certain: he had not gotten a second chance at life just to be tied down by a possessive Demon sect heiress. And above all else, he was not ready to be entangled in any relationship, not after being betrayed by his fiancée.

I’ll drop you off before I leave.”“Hehe, drop me off at home? Unless you’re willing to go all the way to Brentihill, there’s no way you’re going to drop me off at home,” she said.“Brentihill? That’s indeed very far. What are you doing all the way out here, then?” he asked curiously.“Well, I ran away from home for some time, but I’m going back. In that moment of life and death, I realized how vain this world can be. I’m going back to fight for my sister,” she said resolutely.“Your sister? What happened to her?” Samuel asked.“She was being forced into a marriage by our stepfather. You see, she’s the one who’s supposed to inherit the sect, but there’s a rule that she must marry and give up her special virgin yin before she can receive the inheritance and beco

“Calm down. I’m going to free you all, one by one, but no noise. Once I open a cage, you must leave the chamber quietly and without making a sound before I move on to free the others,” Samuel instructed.“Alright. Can you free us first?” Weissman asked.“Can you shut up!?” Samuel snapped coldly. “I’m going to free everyone, so just shut up. If you keep talking, I might as well leave you here.”Weissman clamped his mouth shut. Although he wanted to argue, he didn’t dare. He wanted to live. The thought of remaining in this place terrified him, and if obedience was what it took to survive, then he would gladly comply.Samuel quietly opened the first cage, taking care not to make too much noise.Mama Rita was still asleep.
