Today was the day of the auction. Tony had already sent Samuel a VIP ticket, and he went with only Cesar since only one subordinate was allowed.

Samuel was dressed in a neat black tuxedo with a white tie, his sharp features making him look even more distinguished. Cesar also wore a black tuxedo, though with a slightly different design, and followed behind Samuel obediently like a proper bodyguard.

At the entrance, they presented their invitation cards to the security guards and were allowed to pass inside.

An attendant came forward immediately to welcome them. “Are you VIPs or regular guests?” he asked politely. When Samuel showed the VIP card, the man’s tone changed instantly, becoming even more respectful as he led them to the private room specified in the ticket.

“Divine Doctor Sam!” Tony called out happily when Samuel entered the room.

“Mr. Tony,” Samuel greeted with a firm handshake.

“Nah, just call me Tony,” he chuckled, shaking his head.

“And you can also call me Sam,” Samuel r

“Well, well, well. How did you two get here? You even released my captives,” Stany said, still smiling.“He invited us.” Samuel pointed at Robert, who was visibly shocked.“Me? That’s a lie! I didn’t bring anybody with me. Please don’t believe him,” Robert said frantically. His heart was filled with fear as he did not know whether Stany would believe him.“Maybe you didn’t invite them, but they followed you anyway. Your movements might have been loud and drawn attention, huh?” Stany smirked.“I swear, not a single soul knew about my involvement with you guys. This guy is clearly lying. He came by himself…”“Enough!”He was cut off immediately. This time, it was the gloomy man, Mikel.“This is not the time to argue. Capture them, and we will naturally find out how they got here,” he said in a loud voice.Stany was the first to move. He was confident he could take down Gilbert again, and Mikel would be able to handle the rest just like before. But this time, there were Samuel and Nina.

“It’s simple. Accept my spiritual imprint,” he said calmly. The prisoners exchanged glances among themselves. Accept his spiritual imprint? Is that all? That was the so-called condition? They wondered if it was a joke or some kind of trap.“Is that all?” the man who had spoken first asked again.“That’s all.” Samuel smiled confidently. All of them would surely agree. After all, a spiritual imprint was never something harmful.Samuel had realized that his master-and-servant binding technique did not exist anywhere in this world. After conducting some research, he discovered something similar, yet unfamiliar to him.Spiritual imprint. It was like branding a person with your spiritual consciousness. Once branded, you would be able to know the person’s location no matter where they were.Just like the binding technique, the recipient had to accept the imprint into their spiritual consciousness or soul. Once they accepted it, they would be branded for life, and their location would always

Robert sat down obediently.“You must have been the one I’ve been in contact with?” he asked. The man’s voice sounded familiar to Robert. It was confident and slightly authoritative, but in a way that did not irritate or annoy. Instead, it gave off a strange sense of reassurance. It made you feel like obeying willingly.“You are right. My name is Stany, and this here is Mikel,” he said as he introduced them.Robert nodded. “Are you serious about what you said on the phone? If I join you, I can reach the Golden Core realm in one fell swoop? Is that even possible? I wasted a lot of resources just to reach my current level, and I know that reaching the Golden Core will not be possible for me in the next three years.”“You underestimate us? We can make you even more than that. Oh, I also discovered something important. You are an illegitimate son of Gaus,” Stany said calmly.“Ah, it seems you did quite a lot of digging on me. What else did you find?” Robert asked curiously.“Yes,” Stany s

Samuel, hidden in the wardrobe, listened to their conversation. Robert wasn’t an Urgaba, only a new informant. He had probably been bribed. They were testing him to see how useful he could be, and now that he had shown some worth, they had invited him to their meeting place. This was probably their final test of loyalty. They might even give him a fake location, and if he brought people there, he would be killed. All of this was only Samuel’s speculation, but it made sense. After Robert left, the others walked into the bedroom. They saw Samuel sitting on the bed, lost in thought.“What’s this, Samuel? I just saw Robert drive off. You didn’t do what you planned to do.”Samuel stood up. “Plans changed. I wanted to bind him and get clues or updates about the kidnapped victims, but I found out our target actually works for the Urgaba.”“He’s Urgaba?” Eric asked, shocked.“Not yet. He’s still in the testing phase and might become a full member this evening. Let’s get a car and follow him f

Eric and Samuel met in a tea shop.“So, has the president agreed?” he asked.“Yes,” Eric nodded. “The president of Panya has agreed. The island is worth far more—just thirty million dollars—but he wants us to pay fifty million. In exchange, the government will sign documents guaranteeing they’ll never interfere with the island again, no matter what you decide to do with it.”“Alright, I understand perfectly.” Samuel nodded and took a sip of tea. “So, have you contacted any construction company?” he asked.“Not yet, but I have someone in mind—and it’s someone you actually know.”“Who?” Samuel asked curiously.“From the Macaulay family. Albert and Warren. I was thinking maybe Warren. I heard you’re dating Warren’s daughter.” He smirked.“What nonsense are you saying? Albert is our own person now, and I’m not dating Warren’s daughter. We’re just friends.” Samuel kicked him under the table.“Hehehe, alright, alright. I’ve heard you,” Eric chuckled.“And yes, I remember I gave you an assig

After the introductions, Samuel sat at the table, and beside him sat his old school friend Jude."You’re a big boss now, Samuel. You even invited the CEO of Cocharis Pharmaceutical Industry. Damn, Samuel, I didn’t realize you were this cool."Samuel smiled but didn’t reply. He took a sip of wine and set his cup down."Have you gotten any admission yet?" he asked."Admission?" Jude scoffed. "I don’t need it. I’ve been learning how to develop games all my life, and after school I opened my own studio."My father supported me with eight hundred thousand dollars, but all we’ve managed to develop are some small arcade games that only make enough money to pay my team. Right now, we’re three hundred thousand dollars in debt, and we haven’t even been open for more than three months." He grunted."You never tried securing funds for a bigger project?" Samuel asked."I did, but no one wants to invest in an eighteen-year-old who just graduated from high school. Everybody is careful with their mon
