“Going as low as stalking now!"
"What do you want from me, you life-draining leech? My life? My company? Do you want my firm or intend to flaunt your achievement here before anyone!" Charlotte lets out her frustration. "Are you Miss Sinclair?" Hudderson needed clarification. For this purpose, there could not be a mistake. "For someone who claims to know nothing about my status. You sure have a lot of information!" Spite filled her voice. Memories from that night flashed before Hudderson. The girl that night had grown into a beautiful young lady, running away from being sold to an old man just for the fun of it. "I'm not here for any of those reasons you mentioned earlier. Rather I'm here to take responsibility for what I did. I'm not an irresponsible man after all!" Charlotte paused. Her face flashed multiple emotions just within a few seconds. From anger, disgust, and then amusement. "You want to take responsibility!" She resonated once again, a hint of sarcasm in her voice. "What tacky scheme is that little mind of yours coming up with again?" "How do you intend to take responsibility for what you have done? You look like you're barely fed properly every day. Even with my fall, you still don't even come close to lacing my shoe. So humour me, young mister. What do you think that you can do that would soften my heart towards what you have done? Marry me?" Her brows were slightly raised as she inquired, a mocking smile tugging her lips. "My thoughts exactly. Since I took away your virginity. It's only responsible for me to marry you!" He noted, with a hint of shame. Charlotte's face turned pale. Her voice was lost and her jaw slacked in disbelief. She never thought that Hudderson would be greedy enough to make such a silly request. For once, she had dared to think that he was different. From every other man that wanted nothing but her body. But they were all the same. Scum. "Marry me!" She laughed without a sense of humour in her voice. "You who isn't even worth lacing my shoes proposing to marry me? When in the world did this get-rich-quick shame come out and I wasn't even aware of it!" She chuckled, dry and stabbing. "If you want money... Of Fame, you could try somewhere else. I would rather marry a pig than lie in the same bed with you!" She scoffed and turned around to leave. She came here to find solace, before she was forced into the arms of someone that she didn't love. A chronic womanizer and a sinister liar. "At least it would free you from having to get married to Jackson." Charlotte's feet immediately drew a pause. Those words struck a chord. While everyone thought that she was madly in love with Jackson, only a few people knew that she didn't want anything to do with the young man. Yet, this young man who seemed devoid of a future seemed to know about it. And he said it with so much confidence. "Is this another scheme?" She thought, heart pulsing as she turned around with a frown. "Why do you think for once that I would leave Jackson on our wedding day and elope with you? What sort of stupid fantasy have you been wetting yourself to bed with?" Her voice crackled through the air. "He is rich, promising, powerful... Sort of handsome... Everyone wants to associate with him. What do you have?" Those words, were like daggers drawn right on the face of Hudderson. He remained, however, rather emotionless. "I have a proposal. That could free you of the obligation of being a husband and getting married to Jack. It would be a contract marriage. No love, no strings attached. Just a public figurehead. You don't need to perform the duties of a wife and at the same time, you would not be able to get married to Jackson because you're legally married to someone else already." It sounded too perfect. For a few moments, she wanted to believe those words. But just a single glance at Hudderson was enough to bring her back to her senses. "Why do you think that I would believe anything from you? The stranger who took advantage of me?" Why should I believe that you really want nothing from this other than to take responsibility?" She emphasized the last part of the statement. "Because a contract would be drawn. I don't want your money. And for anything else, don't you think going up against someone like Jackson and your family could be too much of a risk already?" Charlotte's heart wavered. He was right. She had tried to get herself around making someone get married to her multiple times. But apart from everyone refusing and only wanting her body because of the public announcement that she now belongs to Jackson, the marriage registry had blacklisted her name. It was all Jackson. He wanted Charlotte so much for a property and paid off every registry in town not to even attend to her complaints for a second. It was more like she had signed a contract with the devil. She sighed deeply, her heart pounding against her chest. "And even if I agree to get married to you, how do you think you can get us out of here with all the guards to a registry to get registered as a couple?" Charlotte inquired. She left out the rest of the details. "What would be the need for leaving when we could finish the process here just with a few calls?" Hudderson simply returned with so much calm. Charlotte scoffed. The human who stood right before her seemed too good to be true. "Cocky and Useless. Isn't that too much of a terrible combination?" She raised a brow once again at the question.Latest Chapter
Chapter 93
The boy had expected Hudderson to be scared the moment he heard the sound of the motorcycles approaching, but he seemed to be too calm, looking around while he waited to see who was coming. “Tell them that you didn’t see me.” The boy ran into the building and slammed the door, locking it at once. In a matter of seconds, the smoke rising from the chimney stopped, and silence returned slowly. Hudderson took a deep breath, and then he moved closer to his car.It was hard to ignore the warning of the boy, especially when he could still hear the sound of motorbikes wheeling toward him. There was only one way in, and that seemed to be the same way out since the other road had been blocked with cars heaped on top of each other. Hudderson only had to wait for a few seconds before he started to see the motorcycles as they sped toward him.Their riders were erratic, hooting and laughing hysterically as they held carelessly onto the handles of the bikes, pulling very dangerous stunts. CHAPTER NINETY-TWO Hudderson drove for more than five hours, but the determination to find the cure for his sick daughter kept him going. He had decided not to stop until he got to the mountain, prompting him to leave very early that morning. But the fuel gauge on his dashboard was a reminder that he needed to fill his tank if he was ready to make it back with his car and enough fuel when he was done with what he had gone to the mountain to do. Since he had left Mog a very long time ago, it was hard to tell where he was going to get fuel since he was not familiar with the Territory. That was a City, but it looked almost deserted. Hudderson had to slow down while he was on the lookout for a fuel station, and after driving into places he didn’t consider suitable for over thirty minutes, he still couldn’t find anything.“What kind of godforsaken place is this?” He grunted, clenching the steering wheel tightly. He was about to give up when he saw the smoke rising from the sky.It was

Charlotte tried to resist the urge to break her silence, but watching Hudderson as he folded the last cloth into the small box, she couldn’t stop herself from asking where he was going.“You have refused to tell me exactly where you are going.” She stood up from the bed, walked up to Hudderson, and looked him in the eyes.“We have been married for only a few weeks, yet you have decided to move from one place to the other. Is this how we will enjoy this marriage?” Hudderson sighed heavily, and feeling the sadness that gripped her, he decided to make her feel better. “I already told you, wifey. I am going on a journey to save Tony’s sister. Her life is at stake, and she needs something very rare to make her get better.” Charlotte took a deep breath, and it was hard to tell if she believed him or not. “Where exactly are you going?” She asked, and it was hard to tell if she was going to get a response from Hudderson. He had been silent for a very long time, making it hard for her to

CHAPTER NINETY The Supreme Ruler found it very difficult for him to forget what Felix did in the past, but since Felix looked like he would never joke with his life, he decided to give him a chance.“You can go.” He permitted, and grabbing his stethoscope from the ground, Felix hurried to the ward.Hudderson followed him slowly, and when they got in, they met the teenage girl mumbling some words which seemed very hard for her brother to understand.Tony was very anxious, and he didn’t know even the smallest relief until he heard the footsteps approaching. He sighed heavily, leaving the way for the Doctor to attend to his sister. Felix stared at the girl for a while, and after he had checked her eyes, he decided that it was time for him to discard his stethoscope. While he was still attending to Tonia, Hudderson’s phone rang, and when he saw the caller, he stepped outside to answer the call. “What do you want?” He asked, his voice dripping with displeasure. “I want my children!”

CHAPTER EIGHTY-NINE “What did you just you just say to me?” Hudderson asked, trying to be certain that he heard him correctly. Felix stuttered, gripped by an intense fear that seized his voice. “What did you say to me?” Hudderson took just one step forward, but that was all he needed to make the Doctor scared. “Please, don’t make me leave! I am happy here!” He pleaded with teary eyes, but that was not enough to stop Hudderson from still marching up to him. “I was not asking.” Hudderson grabbed him by the neck again, but instead of pinning him to the wall as usual, he decided to lift him several inches above the ground. The Doctor’s feet dangled all over the floor, and even when he tried to break free, it turned out that his entire strength was nothing compared to the might of the Supreme Ruler. Hudderson growled at him, looking up to his drained face while he raised him higher. “You are not welcome here, Felix.” He growled at him, and then he took a deep breath without en

CHAPTER EIGHTY-EIGHT “What are you doing here?!” Hudderson asked with an angry tone, but it was hard for the Doctor to speak because he had restocked both his voice and his airflow. He wheezed, and then he lifted his hands while he begged to be released. Hudderson finally let him go when he saw that he was almost out of breath, prompting him to cough while he staggered backward. Hudderson looked behind him to be sure that no one was coming, and then he moved closer to the Doctor, his fists tightly balled as though he was about to release a punch. He watched angrily as the Doctor struggled to get a grip on himself, fuming aggressively. "Do you want to kill me?!" The Doctor finally broke his silence, his voice barely above a whisper. Hudderson growled at him. “I should have killed you. You don’t deserve to live.” He paused for a while, and then he asked, “What are you doing here?”“I should be asking you that.” The Doctor retorted, pointing his finger at Hudderson. “What are you
