Rengga sneered at Tompel’s lifeless body lying on the ground. He needed a brief rest to steady his breathing after the battle ended.

“Damn it! How could I forget about those five?” he muttered under his breath.

After slipping the yellow iron staff back into his clothing, the Grand Commander of the Jaya Buana kingdom darted away, leaving Tompel’s corpse behind.

To his surprise, the five figures he thought had already left were still in the same place. The thirty-year-old man approached them cautiously, fully aware that they were members of a black sect who could strike him from behind if he let his guard down.

“So, you’re still here. What about the offer I gave you? Will you accept it, or will you refuse and follow your friend into death?” Rengga asked.

Wiguna, the most respected among the five, spoke on behalf of the others. “We are actually interested in your offer, Warrior. But there are circumstances that force us to think ma

  • The Weakness of Rawarontek Spell

The battle erupted again, swift and fierce. The field where they fought was no longer flat. Countless pits, both small and wide, had formed from the violent clashes of energy between them.Arya kept thinking of how to defeat his opponent, who wielded such a strange spell. So far, he had managed to sever his enemy’s neck six times, and yet, each time, the bizarre phenomenon occurred—the head and neck fused back together as if nothing had happened. The young man was nearly driven to frustration by such unnatural occurrences. All of his efforts seemed utterly useless. The Rawarontek spell used by his opponent seemed to have no weakness at all.“Damn it… Could Hydra know the weakness of the Rawarontek spell? But didn’t he say he wouldn’t appear unless I called for him?” Questions kept spinning in Arya’s mind.He had already cut Poncokusumo’s body into pieces—legs, arms, stomach, even his neck. Yet Poncokusumo’s body kept merging back together, as if there had never been any injury.Arya l

  • The Rawarontek Spell

On the other side, Prince Suryalaksana, who acted as the temporary commander in place of Arya, mostly gave orders from the rear.Ratnasari had asked the crown prince of the Sastrajingga Kingdom to remain behind. He was reluctant to comply at first, but after Ratnasari explained, Prince Suryalaksana unwillingly followed his sister-in-law’s wishes.Deep inside, Prince Suryalaksana felt ashamed before Ratnasari, Wiguna, and his companions. They had no ties whatsoever to the Sastrajingga Kingdom, yet they fought so bravely on the battlefield. Their only lives seemed to mean nothing at all.Yes. Prince Suryalaksana vowed in his heart to give them a worthy reward for their struggle once the war ended and victory belonged to the Sastrajingga Kingdom. So absorbed was he in watching the ongoing war that Prince Suryalaksana failed to notice a dozen members of a black sect approaching him. Dressed all in black, they immediately surrounded him from all sides. In the darkness of night, it was diff

  • Strange Power

"Arrogant!" shouted Poncokusumo. He felt the young man’s words demeaned his dignity as the deputy leader of the Blood Sword Sect."Being arrogant toward someone like you is no problem, elder!" Arya replied. The young man then launched another strike just as fast, but every one of his attacks was easily deflected by Poncokusumo.Again and again Arya launched attacks with different variations, but once more Poncokusumo broke through them. In fact, more than twice Poncokusumo’s blows had landed on his body, though not too heavily."He can read every one of my attacks!" Arya muttered in his heart, puzzled. According to what he sensed, Poncokusumo should still be several levels below him. Yet the reality was the opposite—his martial skills seemed to fall below Poncokusumo’s.Arya could not believe what he was feeling. He launched another rapid strike, but the result was the same.Poncokusumo himself felt strange about the progress he had gained. It was as if he received an injection of str

  • Arya vs. Poncokusumo

It was only natural that Poncokusumo trembled at Arya’s arrival. Elder Panji Anom himself had said that neither he nor the three dark sect warriors within the rebel faction could defeat the young man. Poncokusumo also realized that there was at least a two-level gap in martial mastery between himself and Arya.In the world of martial arts, a two-level difference was no small matter. It would take Poncokusumo at least a dozen years of cultivation to reach Arya’s current level.“Go with Ratna, brother. Our soldiers need you on the battlefield,” said Arya to Prince Suryalaksana.“All right, but what about him?” The prince pointed at Wiguna behind him.Arya frowned. To his knowledge, the man his brother pointed at was a member of the Blood Sword Sect.“Isn’t he…”“He and his four comrades have joined us, Jaya. And earlier, he even saved my life,” Prince Suryalaksana replied.Arya turned to Wiguna, who looked weak and exhausted. A thought stirred in his mind—how could Poncokusumo be betray

  • The Arrival of Arya

“I’m finished!” muttered Prince Suryalaksana. The sword in his hand was raised forward, forming the best defense he could manage. But the third son of King Dharmalaksana had no idea who he was facing. Such a clumsy defense meant nothing to Poncokusumo, who had long been seasoned in the harsh world of martial arts.Prince Suryalaksana could only surrender to the immense energy directed at him. He even closed his eyes in despair, resigned to the dreadful fate that seemed inevitable. But fate had something else in store. A split second before Poncokusumo’s strike reached the prince, Wiguna darted forward with astonishing speed, saving the heir of the Sastrajingga Kingdom from certain death.Yet, behind Prince Suryalaksana’s survival came a heavy price for Wiguna. Blocking Poncokusumo’s attack hurled him several steps backward until he slammed into a massive tree.Wiguna writhed in pain, his back throbbing with unbearable agony. His arms too felt the same torment, numb and useless, refusi

  • The Arrival of Reinforcements

Slowly, the situation grew dire for the rebel forces. Without Poncokusumo to lead and command them, their formation fell into disarray, unsure of what to do. If not for Poncokusumo’s strict order to hold out for as long and as strong as possible, they might have chosen to retreat and flee the battlefield altogether. Within half an hour, casualties among the rebels had risen to nearly three thousand lives lost—a horrifying outcome none of them had wished for. What shocked many was the presence of Wiguna and his four companions now fighting for the Sastrajingga royal army. Just the day before, they had still been seen at Poncokusumo’s side on the grassy plains. Those five former disciples of Poncokusumo fought with ruthless ferocity, showing no hesitation despite once being allies. “Exterminate them all, leave no one alive!” shouted Prince Suryalaksana, giving the order. Now that they were in a favorable position, the soldiers of Sastrajingga became even more spirited, following t
