"People like you are not worthy of being allowed to live!" he threatened. His sharp fangs could be seen protruding from the corners of his mouth.

Sarwana's attack, executed with great speed, forced one of the attackers to retreat as they were pushed back. At the same time, he added energy to make his movements even faster.

"This filthy monkey's speed keeps increasing," muttered one of them. The fear creeping into his chest was growing stronger.

Sarwana moved toward another person and attacked again with incredible speed. Just as his close-range strike was about to land, Kelana Jati’s staff flew through the air and struck his arm, redirecting the attack.

"Grrrrrghhh!" Sarwana hissed, glaring at Kelana Jati, who had attacked from a distance.

Just as he was about to retaliate against Kelana Jati, three more warriors moved together, launching an attack.

Three different weapons were launched at Sarwana, forcing him to dodge quickly. However, a sword strike suddenly appeared from behind, aiming for his head. Sarwana quickly parried it with his hand.

The clash of the two energies resulted in a powerful explosion. The attacker from behind was knocked back and rolled on the ground, while Sarwana didn’t budge at all from where he stood.

"If you hadn’t attacked together, I would have already defeated you," Sarwana sneered.

The six other warriors could only stare wide-eyed, amazed at how strong the big monkey’s hand was in deflecting a sword. They hadn’t expected the thick fur to be immune to weapons.

"You don’t need to be so surprised! This fur of mine cannot be pierced by lowly weapons like yours!" Sarwana once again tried to provoke the warriors.

Ignoring Sarwana’s attempts to stir up their emotions, the six warriors moved together, launching a series of fast and deadly attacks. They weren’t sure if the thick monkey fur would always be invulnerable to their weapons.

One sword strike landed directly on Sarwana’s back while he was busy dodging four other attacks.

The big monkey was pushed forward a few steps. Although he wasn’t injured at all, thanks to his thick fur protecting his body, he could still feel the impact from the blow.

"Calm down, everyone. I’m sure he can still be hurt!" yelled the man who had landed the sword strike on Sarwana's back. "We just need to keep attacking!"

Sarwana smiled upon hearing this, "If you think you can pierce this fur of mine, then do it! But before you touch me again, I’ll be the one to take your lives first!"

The fur-covered body of Sarwana, colored brown, was suddenly enveloped in a golden aura. In the blink of an eye, a golden staff appeared in his hand.

"Fine, if you’re forcing me to go further!" he said, exuding an intimidating aura.

The seven warriors, now gathered again, stared in awe at the golden aura emanating from Sarwana’s body. Not to mention the golden staff, which radiated such immense energy that it pressed down on all of their bodies.

Of the seven warriors, Kelana Jati, the oldest among them, was intrigued by the golden staff in Sarwana’s hand. His curiosity wasn’t about wanting to possess it, but he had heard of a golden staff once owned by the leader or king of the monkey people, who once resided in the Hua Kuo Mountains in China.

From the stories he had heard, the strength of the Monkey King was so great that even the Celestial Palace, inhabited by powerful gods, couldn’t withstand his rampage. Eventually, the Buddha had to intervene directly.

"Could it be that this staff was passed down to him?" he thought to himself. (Does anyone know who Kelana Jati is referring to?)

Not wanting to assume too much, Kelana Jati ordered the other six warriors to unleash their ultimate techniques.

Without hesitation, the seven of them attacked again. The battle became intense in an instant. The attacks from the seven warriors did indeed force Sarwana into a corner, but their strikes still couldn’t pierce the thick fur of the great monkey who ruled the Panguripan valley.

Let alone touch Sarwana’s thick fur, even their weapons couldn’t penetrate the golden aura shield surrounding him.

The power of the seven warriors increased, and they kept trying to overpower Sarwana. But all of their efforts seemed futile, and they were only wasting their inner energy.

Each weapon that touched Sarwana’s golden aura shield resulted in a loud explosion, and this repeated clash only drew more warriors to the scene.

"I’m done playing with you!" Sarwana shouted loudly.

The great monkey then withdrew half of his energy, creating an explosion of power from within his body.

The seven warriors were sent flying backwards, forced to leap away to avoid the pressure of the energy radiating from Sarwana’s body. No matter how far they retreated, the pressure from Sarwana’s energy burst still couldn’t be avoided.

In the end, they had to use their inner energy to withstand the immense force pressing against them.

The explosion of energy from Sarwana was also felt by Hydra, who was inside the Fire Dragon Sword. Coincidentally, the negotiation to have the sword accept Arya’s blood had been approved, with one condition.

Hydra hurriedly left the Fire Dragon Sword to meet Arya.

"Quickly, drip your blood again. There’s a major battle happening in the forest!"

"Is it Sarwana...?" Arya asked, curious.

"From the energy I feel, it seems so," Hydra replied without hesitation.

Not wanting to waste any more time, Arya squeezed more blood from his body and dripped it onto the Fire Dragon Sword’s hilt.

The sword, with its reddish blade, suddenly emitted a bright light. The energy released was immense.

"Hurry, pull it out and wrap it with your clothes!" ordered Hydra.

Without hesitation, Arya drew the Fire Dragon Sword, which was firmly embedded in a rock. His body immediately trembled violently the moment he pulled out the powerful sword.

"Aaaaakhhh!"

Arya screamed as loud as he could. He struggled to endure the overwhelming power entering his body. Luckily, the pain only lasted a few seconds. If it had lasted any longer, he wasn’t sure he could have borne it.

Hydra looked at Arya, smiling faintly. He was now certain he had made the right choice. Anyone who could withstand the power released by the Fire Dragon Sword was no ordinary human, he thought. In history, no human had ever been able to endure the strength from the Dragon Realm.

Suddenly, he remembered the energy explosion he had just felt. "Arya, get on my back!"

---“Uncle, are you sure you want to continue the journey alone?” Arya asked.Karyo stared into the distance. All he could see was endless darkness. Doubts about continuing the journey began to creep into his mind.Arya noticed the hesitation in Karyo’s eyes. He felt uneasy about letting him go alone into the dark, quiet night.“Or how about this, Uncle... Since we’re also heading to the Purareksa Kingdom, why don’t we have Ratna accompany you for the rest of the journey? Once I’m done with the matter regarding Ki Ageng Wanayasa, I’ll catch up with you by passing through the Dead Forest.”Karyo looked at Arya with surprise. What difference would it make if he continued the journey alone or with a young girl? He didn’t even know her capabilities.“I understand your concern, Uncle. But believe me, it’s hard to find someone who matches Ratna’s abilities. Even if there are enemies ahead—three times their number—I’m sure they still wouldn’t be able to defeat her,” Arya added.“Well, what d

  • Leaving the Village

Arya handed the two pouches filled with coins to the girl. “Give one to your master, and the other is for you.”The girl looked at him in disbelief. Being saved from the cruelty of those men was already a precious blessing—and now, being given such a large amount of money felt almost unreal to her.“Just take it. Give the money to your parents,” said Ratnasari, noticing the girl’s hesitation.“Thank you, kind sir. But how can I possibly repay your kindness?”Arya smiled warmly. “If your parents are still alive, repay us by being devoted to them. And don’t forget to be kind to others. The smiles of those you help are sincere prayers directed to you. No one who has been helped ever prays ill for their savior.”“Now go home. We’ll take care of the rest,” Ratnasari added, following up on Arya’s words.“Yes, kind lady. Once again, thank you both so much for your help. May the gods grant you both lasting happiness in your marriage.”Arya and Ratnasari exchanged glances after hearing the ble

  • The Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing

The four men were startled and tried to retreat. But Arya didn’t give them the chance to even catch a deeper breath. The handsome young man, moving faster than the eye could follow, disabled all four attackers in an instant.“If you want to keep the only life you have intact inside your body, then tell me now—who is your true leader? Is it Ki Ageng Wanayasa, or is there someone else leading you?” Arya threatened.Over thirty members of the bandit group exchanged nervous glances. What they had just witnessed wasn’t some lucky coincidence for the young man. Resisting him now would be futile—nothing more than a senseless suicide mission. The invincibility of Arya’s body turned their inner fear into something visible—shown clearly through their gestures and expressions.“If you won’t talk, I promise none of you will walk away alive. Your actions have harmed so many people, and more could suffer from your barbarity!”Arya stepped forward and picked up a branch about a meter long from the g

  • A Perfect Disguise

Karyo pulled the reins to halt his horse-drawn cart. He glanced at Arya and Ratnasari in turn, trying to assess their characters. His focus also didn't stray far from the swords strapped to their backs. From that alone, he could tell they were likely a pair of warriors on a journey.Although he didn’t know how skilled they were, Karyo was still grateful to have their company on his journey to the Purareksa kingdom.“Very well. But I must apologize in advance—this cart isn’t built for speed,” said Karyo.“It’s no problem, Uncle. This is our first time heading to Purareksa, so at the very least, we won’t get lost if we travel with you,” Arya replied with an excuse. In truth, what he told Karyo was merely a reason. Traveling with a merchant might lure out the bandit gang hiding nearby to ambush them. It would be different if they were traveling alone through the winding path around the Dead Forest.Karyo’s cart continued to move. Though it wasn’t fast, it wasn’t exactly slow either. The

After a short while, two of the four rough-looking men left the eating place. The other two remained inside.Meanwhile, Arya and Ratnasari were enjoying the meal on their table while listening to the conversations of other patrons. They were particularly interested in the topic about the Cluring bandits, who were now operating outside their usual territory. This shift occurred because no one dared to enter the dead forest anymore.Arya’s thoughts were consumed by the pressing issue of the bandit gang that had been troubling the merchants. If left unchecked, it was possible that they would soon target the village of Karang Aji.To devise a further plan, Arya intended to ask the innkeeper where they were staying. At the very least, the innkeeper might have some information from the merchants who had lodged at his place. After paying for the food that now filled their bellies, the young warrior couple decided to return to the inn. However, the innkeeper had already gone home, and a serva
