“C-can you… show me?” Arga asked quietly.

[Activating Feature: Past Reconstruction Analysis.]

Suddenly, Arga’s vision shifted. The hospital room faded away, and he found himself standing inside the cold server room of police headquarters.

He saw Commissioner Hardi there with a technician. A cigar rested between Hardi’s fingers, his expression calm as he gave the order.

“Delete everything. Make sure not a single fragment remains. The General doesn’t like dirt on his son’s shoes.”

Arga clenched his fists until his nails dug into his palms. The anger that had briefly cooled now reignited—burning hotter than ever.

“Bastard…”

The scene vanished. Arga was back in his wife’s hospital room.

This time, a flashing red warning appeared at the edge of his vision.

[DANGER ALERT!]

[Two individuals with murderous intent were detected on the 4th-floor corridor.]

[Identities: Contract Cleaners (Freelance).]

[Objective: Eliminate Arga Pratama to bury the Raka case permanently.]

[Distance: 30 metres. Closing in.]

Arga rose from his chair.

The grief had not disappeared—but his survival instincts, sharpened by years as a genius detective, surged back to life, fuelled by the system’s adrenaline.

[Emergency Mission Activated: Justice Behind Hospital Doors.]

[Objective: Neutralize both assassins without waking your wife or causing a disturbance.]

[Reward: Rp 50,000,000 (Initial Bonus) & Passive Skill: Lie Detector.]

Arga glanced at Sarah, still unconscious under the effects of anaesthesia. Her pale face and the tear stains at the corner of her eyes shattered his heart—then hardened it like steel.

“They weren’t satisfied with taking my child,” Arga hissed.

“They want me erased too.”

He moved toward the door, grabbed a wooden broom handle leaning against the corner, and snapped it in half, turning it into a crude, sharpened weapon.

“System,” Arga thought. “Show me their exact positions.”

[Scanning… Two targets were detected around the left corridor corner.

Target A: Suppressed handgun.

Target B: Military knife.

Weak Point Detection Activated.]

In Arga’s vision, the two men appeared as orange silhouettes through the walls. Blue glowing points shimmered at their necks and joints—their vulnerabilities.

He opened the door just enough to slip out.

“If justice in this country can’t reach you,” Arga whispered as the silhouettes came within five steps of the door.

“Then I’ll become the law myself.”

[Execution Timer: Started.]

Arga slipped out and closed Sarah’s door with extreme care—without making the slightest sound.

The corridor was eerily silent. All patients were in their rooms.

Perfect.

[Synapse Acceleration Activated: 0.5 seconds to contact.]

At the end of the hallway, the two orange silhouettes began moving.

[Target A: 0.5 seconds to visual contact.]

The world seemed to slow—not because time stopped, but because adrenaline pushed Arga’s brain to process information ten times faster.

He didn’t need the system to guide his hands. His body remembered every tactical combat move drilled into him at the academy and refined in the streets over the past decade.

Target A—a man in a bomber jacket with a low cap—began raising his suppressed pistol.

Too late.

With an explosive push from his legs, Arga lunged forward—low, fast, and efficient.

Before Target A could line up his sights—

CRACK!

The broken broom handle smashed into the man’s wrist with surgical precision. Bone snapped. The pistol clattered onto the carpet.

Before he could scream, Arga’s left hand clamped onto his throat, crushing his Adam’s apple with a perfect standing choke.

Target B—the larger man behind him—reacted instantly. A seasoned fighter. He drew his military knife and swung wildly.

Arga didn’t retreat.

He stepped inside the attack zone.

Like a predator, he twisted his body, letting the blade pass less than an inch from his chest.

In one seamless motion, Arga caught the man’s wrist, twisted it into a lethal joint lock, and drove his knee into the man’s solar plexus with full force.

UGH!

Target B folded.

Arga seized the back of his head and slammed it into the concrete wall covered in wallpaper.

Silence.

In less than ten seconds, two professional hitmen lay unconscious—defeated by a man who had just lost everything.

Arga stood upright, breathing steadily—proof of his exceptional physical condition. His eyes were cold as he stared at the bodies.

[Emergency Mission Completed.]

[Evaluation: Outstanding. The host’s physical ability exceeds that of average Level 1 system users.

[Processing Rewards…]

Ting!

A text message arrived on Arga’s phone.

[Incoming Transfer: Rp 50,000,000. Sender: Unknown.]

He didn’t even look at it.

“This system doesn’t lie,” he murmured.

His attention shifted when another phone rang.

Target A’s phone lay on the floor, screen lit with an incoming call.

The name on the screen made Arga’s jaw tighten.

COMMISSIONER HARDI

Arga picked it up and pressed it to his ear, remaining silent.

“Hello? Is it done?” Hardi’s voice growled impatiently.

“Make sure the body isn’t found until morning. And if the wife becomes a problem—remove her too. No witnesses.”

Arga’s blood boiled.

He glanced at Sarah’s door—his last remaining hope.

“Hardi,” Arga said.

His voice was low, hoarse, and lethal.

Silence filled the other end. He could hear Hardi’s breath hitch.

“Arga? You—how is this possible?”

“Why so surprised, Hardi?” Arga replied coldly.

“Oh—are you shocked that I’m still alive and talking to you?”

The call ended abruptly.

Arga smirked.

“System,” he said, looking at the two unconscious bodies.

“How do I get rid of these rats?”

The transparent screen flickered. Blue neon text appeared alongside a schematic hospital map.

[Calculating Disposal Options…]

[Option 1: Call Police—Risk: Extremely High.]

[Option 2: Dump at Landfill—Risk: Moderate (CCTV Exposure).]

[Option 3: Use Temporary Trace-Erasure Feature (Recommended).]

“How does it work?” Arga whispered, dragging Target B away from Sarah’s door.

[Feature: Virtual Inventory – Void Space (Level 1).]

[Description: Host may store inanimate objects or entirely unconscious individuals for up to 2 hours.]

[Cost: 50 Justice Points (Current Balance: 100 Justice Points).]

“No hesitation,” Arga said. “Do it.”

A black-blue vortex opened beneath the two bodies.

In an instant, the corridor was empty.

No blood. No bodies. No signs of a fight.

Only silence—and the sound of rain against the windows.

[Warning: Storage timer started—119:59 minutes remaining.]

[Recommendation: Relocate before retrieval occurs.]

Arga exhaled slowly.

He couldn’t stay here.

If Hardi knew the hit had failed, more would come.

Arga returned briefly to Sarah’s room and kissed her forehead.

“I’ll finish this, Sarah. For you—and for our child.”

As he stepped out, a new notification appeared.

[New Mission Detected!]

[Title: First Night Visit.]

[Target: Commissioner Hardi.]

[Location: ‘The Abyss’ Nightclub, VIP Room 1.]

[Description: Hardi is dining with Raka’s father to celebrate the successful destruction of evidence.]

“The Abyss…” Arga smiled coldly.

He knew that place—an exclusive club where corrupt officials traded envelopes beneath pounding techno music.

He headed for the elevator.

Inside the mirrored walls, he stared at his reflection—pale face, bloodshot eyes, fury barely contained.

[Accept Mission: First Night Visit?]

[Reward: Unlock Feature – Virtual Evidence Vault & Identity of the Traitor Prosecutor.]

“Accept,” Arga said.

As the elevator doors opened on the ground floor, another notification appeared.

[System Tip: Use Rp 5,000,000 to order ‘Black-Cab’ service.].

The vehicle is untraceable and bypasses traffic CCTV.

“Order it now,” Arga replied.

“I won’t waste a single second.”

Outside the hospital lobby, a black sedan without licence plates waited.

Arga slid into the back seat as the car tore through the rain-soaked streets of Jakarta.

He still held Target A’s phone.

“Hardi,” Arga murmured, watching city lights streak past the window.

“Enjoy your drink… because tonight is your last party as a police officer.”

A black ambulance, its medical logo faint on its side, glided silently toward the city center. "Rio, did you receive a new mission from the system?" Arga asked via message. He glanced at Sarah, who was fast asleep in the passenger seat."Yes, Uncle. It's about Dr. Amelia. • Chapter 8: Absolute Justice

That afternoon, the television screen at the safe house displayed a satisfying sight: Raka was being dragged from a car in handcuffs, followed by a pale-faced General Anton, as well as Pratama and Hardi, who could only hang their heads to avoid the flash of reporters' cameras. They were all being taken in for intensive interrogation. Those once-arrogant faces had withered under the media spotlight and the roar of the angry mob shouting insults outside the gates."Now is the time, Uncle." Rio appeared from behind his wall of monitors, his voice low so as not to disturb Sarah. "Anton’s mansion is empty. The perimeter security is still there, but most of his personal bodyguards have been summoned as witnesses or are undergoing internal review."Arga nodded firmly. He kissed Sarah's forehead; she was beginning to look drowsy from the effects of her recovery medication. "I’ll be gone for a while, Sarah. There’s something I must finish so we can finally be at peace.""Stay safe, Arga," she
