Kran

Dr. Colosso's day was taking a dive he was dealing with a lot of pressure lately. Casualties had increased, and so had his workload. As if that wasn't enough, there were new diseases even more complicated than the previous. he was called to an emergency by the commander. The patient was placed in an enclosure to quarrantine said to have been exposed to a mutation.

The enclosure was built on a hill called Kran ,so the name was called Kran prison before apocalyopse.they drove to the edge where an elevator took him and the commander to the top .

"Wasnt this meant for keeping criminals."  Dr Col asked feeling disturbed being these close to deadly criminals.

"it still is, or more precisely its meant to hold threats."

"so i am treating a criminal...?"getting more confused col probed.

"Not exactly, you will..... see."the commander slowed down on the last line.raising his head letting his sight focuss above. at this time the elevator arrived on board the hill.

Entering the facility, soldiers stood on  both sides a man wearing a lab Gasmask on his neck and a fawning smile on his face yet his eyes had a sadistic charm in them as if someone onto something he shouldnt.

"follow me , we have made some discoveries since your last visit ." he said  leading them to a huge safe that was mechanically opened in turns after he swiped his card and stamp his fingerprint.

The commander had an aloof look on while Dr col was sweating and adjusting his collar.

"Are this...ehem this much security needed for one patient isnt it a bit... excessive..?'Dr Col stammered

"and who is this commander? i had prefer your guard stay outside this is a sensitive project and the subjected has been well contained it would be inappropriate to bring someone unrelated to this."the scientist stated spitely a look of disdain in his eyes

the commander  frowned but coughed a little to ease the tension "ehem...my apologies i ought to have done a better job on intro. These is Dr Col ,it was tasked to me by the supreme comander to bring him to see the patient."

"You mean my subject..?well then he may come in. put these on "handing them two masks, the trio stepped into the confinement as Nitrogen gas fumes field the room and bone chilling temperature made even the commander flinch a little but calmed but the same couldnt be said for Col so a costume was provided to keep him less in contact with the fumes.

at the middle of the room a cube of ice sat ,in it was a sleeping beauty eyes closed and lips pink despite the coldness she seemed to be smiling. it was a very beautiful scene if it werent for the protruding grotesque belly.

"As you can see , the subject has been encased in a sub zero state with comstant Nitrogen being pumped into the system, this is to  slow down the metabolism if not stop the irregular form" the voice from beneath his max was fuzzy as he took breath inbetween his sentences.

"This.....the condition seemed to have ....developed since then "squinting a eye and furrowing both eyebrows with a slanted head the commmander stated the obvious

the question made the face beneath max fall in annoyance and just when he was about to grinned out a suitable response,a disturbing voice

"this patient seems to be undergoing pregnancy its a pre phase to motherhood we have to  help her she seems far pass delivery. how can you even do this ."Dr Col reprimanded as he headed to the ice encasement in a bid to help the sleeping beauty out of her predicament.

steaming over head...literally,the scientist was aving a hard time keeping his temper, the commander turned to face him.

"The lady in the ice encasement , happens to be the sweet Daughter of the Marshal, supreme  commmander.so its normal for the old man to throw a tantrum with his fiery temper. This order wasnt in anyway in his knowlegde.its kept under coverage .tho this might bring consequnces. we prefer the lesser evil.he his that powerful so best you help the doctor in helping her and he holds multiple credits and very trustworthy."

the scientist blowed hot air and soothe his anger"alright, lets not interrupt his...'treatment'."

Dr col was unable to reach within two meters of the ice cube. "Hey weirdo, take down this ice encasement and leave it at room temperature so i can check the patient and begin my work"with a yell he informed.

the scientist paused from exiting the clench his fist with gritted teeth before letting go as him and the commander stood on a podium that worked as an elevator bringing them to a room with a glass film so they could watch what ever the doctor was doing from above  as they observed. there were other scientist being busy. the space was big to begin with so it was normal a observatory was built above at one side.

"I think it best you do as he says ,or else the militarty would withdraw your posts and duty this has nothing to do with qualifications.theres plenty that would do just as much with even better expertise.my advice, dont puush your luck"the commander gave a warm but implied smile after taking off his Gas mask

with non chalance on the scientist orderd "Deativate the nitrogen burst and cold films."

the scientist immediately obeyed, pressing buttons around the board of plenty tech lever and buttons.

a huge gas spasm was spreading outward as the molecules of the nitrogen spread after disbanding.

Dr col took a step back hurriedly from the chill, raising his elbow to shield himself .the previous protective suit costume ripped off all that was left was his white coat both edges fluttering .

"fool"with disdain,the scientist sneered

"you shouldnt let him die either, its hard finding someone with his level of expertise."the commander smiled once more arms behind his back.

"Hmph!"the scientist harrumphed before asking the gas be sucked away.

Now Dr col finally had the chance to check out the patient.

"it was worse than i thought....her cervical are crushed and veins stretched thin."DR col noticed from observing the body. getting intrigued so he checked the face, though the face was filled with purple veins and fuming lips.this was a side effect of the lack of nitrogen to freeze her metabolism.HER face was still sipping in with unrecognised fluid but he had recognise that face anywhere..

"Si...s..siri!"

An orb glowed on a ring-shaped plate. A scientist wearing a face shield was reassembling the orb with a picker and spatula for what felt like the ten-thousandth time. He had tried multiple patterns already. Hopefully, this time would be a success."Hey, Lorne, would you hand me the chip of the core? That should be the final piece to this puzzle. Let's pray it doesn't explode." The scientist grimaced, extending a hand toward Lorne, his new assistant, who was holding a chunk of Nest Core worth dozens of lives."Here, Professor," Lorne answered. It had been three days, yet they still hadn’t succeeded in creating what they were after. There wasn’t much time. “Is that the last one?” Jane said to the secretary, who was tidying up the papers on the table. She on the other hand, was sipping her morning coffee from her mug.“Yes, Captain, that was the last one,” the secretary said anxiously.“Leave the rest to me, then,” Jane reassured her, her hands picking up the paper on the table before she took her seat and gave the chair a twirl.Sigh...“I sent letters to five different destinations, secretly, to those I found fitting for the Special Squad. Those I could trust, as they would focus more on missions outside the base,” Jane said out loud, though she didn’t seem to be talking to anyone. She had chosen individuals known for their resourcefulness and who had proven their loyalty through past missions. Each had unique qualities: a strategist who could outsmart adversaries, a medic who excelled in high-pressure situations, and a technician with unrivalled skills in hacking and engineering, making them indispensable for missions beyond base bor

A shadowy man appeared before the tavern’s entrance and pushed the door open. Inside, the place was packed with rowdy mercenaries and scrawny merchants. He wrinkled his nose, his face creasing."The stench of wild men and deadly wine…" He inhaled a little more until a satisfied expression settled on his face. "One feels alive in the midst of mortals, right?"The question didn’t seem directed at anyone but himself."Boss, we got your message. As of now, orders are already being sent out to begin the first phase," a lackey said, handing a mug to the man whose face seemed to treat shadows like clothing."How efficient. Now go get the papers I asked you to print."The shadowy man sat at a free table while the lackey stood by his side, not daring to look him in the eye, much less think of sharing a seat with him."Yes, Your Highness." The lackey immediately ran behind the counter to fetch them.A hefty, chubby mercenary walked up to the bar and slammed his mug down."More of those fiery co
