"What are you talking about?" Davien stood in her face, stunned by the accusation.

"Oh wow! You stole from me and now you are acting up?" She yelled at him.

"I suggest you go and search for your necklace elsewhere. You clearly don't know what you are talking about." Davien dismissed confidently.

"You fucking faggot!!!" Khloe felt insulted by his guts. "How dare you talk to me like that!!!" She proceeded to slap him again.

Davien refused to be hit for something he didn't do, hence he stopped her arm mid-air, which further shot a black rage up her neck and towards her face.

"Do you dare to lay your hand on a woman?" A masculine voice said out of nowhere.

Hearing the voice of a man, Davien's gaze instinctively shifted from Khloe's to a young man.

The man was about the age of Davien. Only that, he was dressed in Thompson suits, expensive Rolex and a high-end pair of shoes. From the outlook, he dripped with luxury.

Beyond the luxury, the look on the man's face oozed disgust towards Davien. Davien sensed hostility.

"Vincent. This bastard wants to hit me!" Khloe quickly stepped aside as Vincent imposed himself.

Oh, Vincent. Davien thought. This was the man whom Anna has loved all her life. Looking at how lavishly he dressed, it was easy to guess why Anna chose him.

But Davien had no business with him. Instead he looked past Vincent to Khloe who had made Vincent her shield.

"How can you prove that I stole your necklace? Perhaps you were careless" Davien gave her an earful.

"How dare you?" Khloe gasped really hard, shocked by Davien's guts. "How can you still have a mouth after stealing from me?"

"Calm down, Khloe. I'm here." Vincent assured, smiling softly at her.

His words were so reassuring to Khloe that she decided to leave everything to Vincent. After all, Vincent was the heir of HJ Conglomerate. Whoever dares to cross him will feel the wrath.

"I've seen men all my life, but I've never seen a lowlife who acts high and mighty." Vincent suddenly started attacking Davien.

Davien and Vincent were two opposite personalities. Vincent dripped affluence while Davien, mediocrity. In fact, Vincent felt insulted standing in the presence of someone as lowly as Davien.

"Is that how much you suffer? To think you could steal from her and go sell the necklace so that you can have some pocket money? Shouldn't you be ashamed?" Vincent carried on ruthlessly.

Davien scoffed, shaking his head. How can a man be blind and loud at the same time?

"I don't have any business with you, Vincent or whatever your name is." Davien hardly gazed at him. "Khloe ta--"

"Isn't he the loser formerly married to my girlfriend?" Vincent cut Davien short, looking at Khloe as though Davien was intangible.

"He is the nonentity! But apparently, he's added theft to his skills." Khloe swore.

"This is what happens when you indulge a church rat. Anna is just too kind." Vincent shook his head in pity, turning back to Davien.

"I'm giving you two minutes to confess now, else you'll be thrown in jail!" Vincent threatened with a grim face.

When Khloe heard the mention of jail, she was so excited. A nobody like Davien deserved to die in hardship.

"You better start confessing now or my brother-in-law will make life a hell hole for you, asshole!" She warned, her arms over her breasts.

The loud voice of Khloe easily drew more attention to their direction. A middle-aged woman walked in with a look of disapproval.

"What is this madness?" Lydia, Khloe's mother asked, displeased by the sight.

"Mother." Khloe was startled. "It's Davien. He stole my necklace and wouldn't give it up!"

Lydia's eyes moved rapidly as she caught the sight of Vincent. It was her son-in-law to be. How dare Davien try to make a scene?

Vincent Maers was a hot cake in the city. There were so many families like the Benjamin's who would go any length to get close to the Maers's. How could Davien do this? Oh right, he must be doing this to get revenge on Anna for the divorce.

"Davien! How dare you!!!" Lydia quickly moved towards Davien and slapped him even harder than her daughter. Twice this time.

Davien was in a daze following this, but Vincent and Khloe seemed to be enjoying the sight.

"Mother..." Davien muttered, clasping his hand to his face.

What did he think? That Lydia would take his side? Lydia has always been the idea behind wanting a divorce for her daughter. To her, Davien was a waste that should not be affiliated with.

"Give up the necklace right now or I'll mash your face with my heels!!!" She quickly removed one of her heels.

"I didn't steal her necklace. What would I ever want to do with it?" Davien refused to be framed.

"You fucking liar! What will you do with it? Of course sell it, you broke ass fucker!" Khloe yelled.

"What is happening here?" Anna walked in point in time.

On her way in, the noise was so loud that she hastened her pace.

"Anna, is it not your miserable ex? He stole my ---" Suddenly, Khloe saw her necklace on the neck of Anna.

"Davien stole your what?" Anna asked, already

disgusted that she had to mention his name again.

"He stole her necklace." Vincent quickly chimed in.

"Isn't this your necklace on my neck?" Anna asked, looking confused.

"No, not this one. It's the other one. I just bought it." Khloe quickly lied.

She couldn't admit that she had set Davien up. If she did, she will get in trouble with her family and lose the respect of her brother-in-law.

"Davien!" Anna was indeed pissed off. "Wasn't I fair enough to put you on a thousand dollar salary? Are you that greedy to steal my sister's necklace?"

First he was a loser, and now to think of him as a thief, Anna was further disappointed in him. On the other hand, she was relieved that she was right after all. She made a smart decision by divorcing the deadbeat. Her grandpa must not know what he was talking about.

"I'll make a call now to the Sheriff my friend." Vincent offered generously. "He will send his boys right away to take this deadbeat away!"

"That's right. He deserves to rot in jail!" Khloe affirmed.

"It's not necessary, Vincent." Anna said to him. "Davien is not worth the hassle of having you waste your influence on locking him up." She sounded quite sad.

"I've tried enough for him by putting a roof on his head, yet he stole from us. He deserves to be on the street. I don't ever want to have anything to do with him again." She walked away. "Kick him out!!!"

Khloe quickly ran inside and picked up Davien's bag, "Out asshole!!!" She yelled.

Vincent joined in and grabbed Davien.

Out and into the street they flung him. Homeless.

"Davien?!!!" They all exclaimed at once. None of them could come to process, or understand, let alone give meaning to what was happening right in that moment. "What the fuck is he doing here?" Vincent's entire body was working up as he stepped forward. "Vincent." Anna called his attention to stop him before he would lunge at Davien."How are you so bold to come here right now?" Dorathy screamed, ready to pounce on Davien, too. It seemed like only Anna was not interested in going at Davien's throat. The rest would have tackled him down right now if they had the chance. "I could kill you right here and right now, and nothing whatsoever will happen after that!" Vincent swore. "Not even the cops will be able to find your corpse when I'm done dissolving it with acid."Davien didn't utter any word as the family members kept yelling and threatening him. "Why are you here?" Anna spoke up eventually, staring dead at him. "Why are we asking him questions?" Vincent was at it again. "I wan

"Miss Khloe Benjamin, please rise." The judge called. Khloe Benjamin knew that this was the end of the road for her. There was no going back. There was nothing she could do to avoid this fate. "Not only did you falsely accuse an innocent man of sexual assault, but you colluded with another person to falsify the evidence that was presented to this court of law. That is perjury.""My lord." Khloe's lawyer quickly rose up. "My client decision stemmed from what the defendant did to her sister. This a truth, my lord. The defendant maltreated the sister of my client at this same hotel.""Overruled." The judge snapped at the lawyer. "If you speak out of turn again, you will be charged for obstruction." The judge warned the lawyer. "If you have another case to charge against the defendant, you can do that separately and not mix it up with this. I thought you were supposed to be a professional." The judge added in displeasure. At this point, the lawyer gave up. She knew that there was no t

She was shaking her head frantically as the man approached the scene. Perhaps if she had a superpower, she would stop him in his tracks. Anna and Dorathy didn't know whom the man was, but seeing both the reactions of Khloe and of the lawyer, they knew that something was not right. "That's the manager of the hotel." Vincent was the only one who relieved them of the anxiety. "Oh, shit!" Dorathy cursed. "What the hell is he doing here?""Apparently, Davien's lawyer brought him here." Vincent replied. "The Prosecuting attorney can proceed." The judge said. Khloe glanced at her lawyer and they both exchanged stares. Then she inadvertently looked in the direction of Davien. When their eyes met, she shot a cocky smile in his direction. "That little bitch." Davien growled just staring at her. He was sick to the stomach at the sight of her. Flora heard him curse and traced his gaze to the direction he was looking. "You shouldn't bother about her. That's the last smile she'll have." Flora was certain as she said this.Davien had never had a reason to doubt her abilities. He knew what she was capable of doing. Hence, he wasn't bothered about all these proceedings. "There is nothing much to say, my lord." The prosecutor started, taking a stance at the front. "My client has been in deep trauma following what happened at the hotel."The lawyer waved in the direction of Khloe who immediately drew a sad and hopeless expression on her face. His gait was royal and his features were blinding. His face was cold and solemn and his demeanor was icy as icicle. His essence screamed dominance like a royalty who had willingly come to pay a visit to his lowly servants. Standing beside him was a lesser striking figure compared to him. If he was the sun, the figure was the moon. She was striking and gorgeous. Her skin was perfect and her shape perfect. Yet even with her features that looked like a goddess that missed their way to earth, there was an air about her that looked extremely serious and intimidating. "Isn't that Davien?" Dorathy found it very hard to recognize him. The Davien that she used to know was a wretch which could never command an attention, let alone leave everyone speechless at the sight of him. "It's him." Khloe didn't know when the words flew from her lips. "Why is he dressed like it's his wedding day?" Vincent was filled rage as soon as he spotted him.
